Did someone say "Judgement Day"
-
Hehehe ... how judgemental of you ... oops I just self-embodied didn't I So what about Tao then? Can there ever be a 'point' of not embodying Tao? To Tao or not to Tao? That is the question. Nice post by the way.

Excuse me for sounding ignorant (I seem to be quite adept at doing so) but am I right in my understanding that they are killing bulls as a means of healing and spiritual cultivation?? Please explain... -

Hi Mewtwo, The short answer is no you don't 'need' to engage in sexual alchemy and it isn't the 'main' type of internal alchemy. Internal 'intercourse', in broad terms, is the coming together of the Yin and Yang within yourself.

I have heard that in ancient times some traditional masters would accept a portion of gold for their teachings. If you can become wealthy naturally, virtuously and without any waste or extravagance then by all means be wealthy. By being wealthy an achieved one can extend their virtue to reach more people. In saying this, however, I believe a teacher should never depend on their students for material support. A deeper lesson we are observing here is that by making claims, not only are you opening yourself up to attack and criticism, you may indeed be violating the purity of your self-nature. TTC Ch 24 One who stands on tiptoe cannot stand firmly. One who strides cannot walk far. One who flaunts himself is not illumined. One who insists that he is right is self-righteous. One who boasts of his accomplishments undoes his merit. One who takes pride in himself impedes his own growth. -

Please my friend I have not directed any disrespect your way. You may have noticed "Sifu" is no longer used, I realised that using this title was not appropriate for this forum. I humbly apologise any pretentiousness on my behalf. I am a sifu in regards to being a teacher and instructor of taijiquan, I make no claims beyond this. I appreciate you wanting to help people. -

I am sorry if I used a term you were not familiar with. To briefly explain the term Petty Tyrant from the Toltec tradition (no not just Carlos). A Petty Tyrant is someone who impinges on your life ranging from a 'Small Fry' Petty Tyrant who just gives you the willies through to a Petty Tyrant proper who has the power of life and death over you. Such a person will reveal to you many inner weakness and habitual conditions, and, because these conditions are what stands in the way of achieving true freedom, a Petty Tyrant is to be welcomed and embraced. Can I honestly, politely and humbly ask (and this is aimed at SJ as well due to the fact that he is waging the same campaign) why do you think you need to do this? Who are you to say what is "bullshit" and what is not? You are only coming from your range of perception, from your 'veiw of the world'. What is 'bullshit' to you may very well be a 'golden gem of wisdom' to someone else, and of course vice versa. Whilst yes we have to be incredibly discerning in what we choose to believe we also have to acknowledge that, with the infinite possibilities that this incredible universe offers us, we can ill-afford to be narrow-minded in our vision. Whenever I encounter something that is currently beyond my ability to understand or comprehend I will say, "That's interesting." I will neither believe nor not believe, it is, as I said in the previous post, to me merely a Tale of Power and I will stalk it to find what 'gift of power' it may yield me. But this may just be more 'bullshit'... -

LOL ... Sorry SJ but not being able to disprove something doesn't automatically mean it is true. It is like saying, "Because you can't disprove God's existance is proof that God exists." In this case we need to borrow from the very same Toltec teachings that you are referring to and say that Don Juan is merely a "Tale of Power". Being a Tale of Power we should neither believe or disbelieve it but ask ourselves sincerely, "What are the implications of this Tale of Power that can lead us to deeper knowledge and personal power." And by all means chaps ... keep bashing on each other's self-importance, it's doing you some good. You are both strong willed and intelligent with healthy minds. If you are able to follow the proper rules of engagement then your interaction will greatly benefit this forum. You have found in each other a Petty Tyrant ... congratulations ... use it wisely. -

Enjoy the moment All truth all power is there Live it, breathe it in

The happiest moment of my day is when I get out of bed at dawn (reluctantly leaving the side of the beautiful goddess beside me ... god I love my wife) and step into my backyard to greet the sun. After several minutes of soong exercise and deep breathing (letting all the stale qi dissapate away) I breathe in the sunlight and let its purity course through my whole being ... every fibre, every molecule, every energy channel starts to 'hum' with purity and clarity. Then I will just stand quietly, breathing, being aware of the awesomeness of nature around me ... feeling myself gently merge with its beauty and harmony...

LOL ... amen to that! We have a 4 month old granddaughter now ... Akasha. She is an absolute joy and a gem! She will look you in the eye with such a look of mirth and go "oooh" and "aah" at me. All the truth I need to know is right there.
