the word "Dao" has nothing to do with "warriors"
Stigweard replied to Brian L. Kennedy's topic in General Discussion
Hehehe ... it seems I stand corrected twice. It was merely an interesting coincidence that I referenced this very same wiki entry in another thread just prior to your new thread. A thousand apologies My Kennedy. Let us continue in good faith. How do you like your tea? -

Apologies my friend ... that uninformed person promogulating "horseshit" seems to be myself. I am humbly more knowledgable now than I was yesturday. Perhaps you should take this misinformation up with wiki and change it there. *bows politely* I felt it was an interesting fact as it seems that warriorship and sageship seems consistent within the great tradition of Tao. -
An interesting and valid point cat. The etymology of Tao reveals the meaning "the path of the warrior", and is often referred to as the way of the warrior-sage. When the Warrior archetypes and the Sage archetypes reach accord then maybe Tao Bums will attain Tao...

What we see happening in Tao Bums is very interesting and really quite exciting on several levels. All of us here are part of the entity of "Tao Bums". As such we are little gods of the overall god of Tao Bums, the exact same as all the numerous internal spirits and little gods that make up each of us individually. Success on an individual level comes about through self-regulation; bringing all the dissparate, and sometimes warring, internal spirits and elements back into natural order so harmony can be expressed. The same process is in evolution here in Tao Bums.

In my humble opinion, I find Master Ni, Hua Ching's "The Complete Works of Lao Tzu, Tao Teh Ching & Hua Hu Ching" to be both lucid and instructive for the devoted self-cultivator.
