  1. Wanted: TaoWiki Submissions

Heya Pietro ... I get back to you excellent suggestions in the morning. I made a small contribution to your page on American Taoist Teachers http://www.taowizard.com/wiki/index.php?ti..._Taoist_Centres

Thank you Pietro I appreciate your feedback, you are quite correct. It would seem I am holding the reigns too tight. Perhaps such a measure would be more appropriate at a much later stage if at all. Do you think it would be acceptable for them to simply become a member of the forum before becoming a TaoWiki contributor? I am wanting all the discussion over the wiki content to be focused in the forum rather than on the discussion pages of the wiki itself. What do you think? Have you managed to log in successfully? Am still hunting down the bug lol
  4. Wanted: TaoWiki Submissions

it would be great to have your friends onboard. You can see by the account setup page that I am wanting to initially keep a close reign on how it develops. You are quite right though that the right diversity is needed for the wiki to have integrity. I know my bias would be toward neidan, taijiquan, qigong etc. I am sure you might see that already I'll put a notice on that page that there are currently an issue. I think I know where to look as I had to deal with a similar issue with the webmail off the main site. Just let your friends know of the current issue and that they can get in touch with me via the contact page. Cheers my friend

Nah it's definately a bug of some sort. I tried to set up a dummy account and I got the same error. Not all that familiar with media wiki systems but I will work through it. So if anyone else wants to become a TaoWiki contributor just let me know and I will make sure we get through.

Hmmm :{ ... the first bugs arise lol I will get onto it ... is this in the TaoWiki sign up? It could be my server's smtp protocols ... they have ramped up their security after a hacking episode. Will look into it for you.

  21. Yup ... I hear what you are saying and I would like to see this happen as well. I have started to some of the major schools listed but they are far from complete. And I would also like to see a page each on contemporary teachers and masters. I'll start a new thread here for possible submissions.
  22. Cheers all ... the response has be quite simply fantastic!!! thetaobums.com made up 25.57% of traffic through my site yesterday so THANK YOU! Also got a very encouraging bunch of I Ching readings through as well so overall I can happily say it was a successful launch. Now the fun begins in earnest as I continue to flesh out the info on offer. I always hoped that TaoWizard would work in conjunction with TaoBums ... this is very much my home Thanks again for your support and interest
  23. Excellent suggestions ... like Pietro also mentioned, to have a portal as such where people can find teachers in convenient locations would be awesome. It was something I have had in mind as well. I already have a few of the major educational institutes who offer Taoism as part of their philosophy and religious studies. You will find mentions of them already in the directory ... http://www.taowizard.com/dao_tao.php One step at a time yes? Thanks Darin ... your opinion I hold in high regard
