  12. Zhan Zhuang: santi vs hunyuan

Because in Santi Shi, if one applies the intent to, or any thought, to advance forward; meaning preparedness to leap like a tiger, pressing and pulling both feet, the cultivation leads for health and martial power, and emphasizes on martial power quickly. If one sinks in Santi shi, with awareness at the feet, joints, hip joints, spine and shoulder joints, something else happens. As well, the idea of a body being in Santi shi should be eradicated as well; meaning no muscles, no tendons, ligaments. Let all that seep into the bones. Then, the intent practice goes further where one applies more steps to eventually feel the gravity of earth literally grabbing them. Dropping false thinking, sensations and even the method of practice, just standing in the posture, the gravity state gets stronger and the bones get denser, muscles as well, then one gets used to the heaviness. Along with that, blood and qi are benefited, becoming full, they tonify the internal organs, which in turn causes them to revitalize. Hunyuan is good too, and because mostly the views of it are not martial, the mind doesn't have any preconceived notions of its martial effectiveness, thus its cultivation is less geared towards martial. Yet, the Hun Yuan posture helps to develop peng jing, strengthening the intent, will and application of the joints in simultaneous movement. :-) However, many don't apply Hunyuan with that practice and the methods for it that way.

  20. the Tao isn't taoist

    hahahaha
  21. the Tao isn't taoist

Because its expression nowadays through the Chinese tradition carries the name "Dao", and the cultural practices, and lifestyle of it in terms of philosophy and behavior, practice and lifestyle already have taken Chinese traditional mannerisms, thus it is a Chinese traditional cultivation lifestyle now. So, putting it in a "Daoist" forum/thread is okay In the end, the practices of purity are the same, and the end result of those practiced here on Earth, as a human , will get one to the same place...
  22. the Tao isn't taoist

:-) Its a Brahmic cultivation, leading to the highest of pure states, which directly cause one to be reborn in the highest of pure heavens, the Brahma Heaven. Of course its an old tradition, predating China's cultural appearance of what is known as "Daoism".

  25. ANONYMOUS Declaration of Freedom Nov. 5, 2013

haha so cool this thread. I just recorded a show on politics... basically, if we do nothing about what we want to change, then stop complaining. Public awareness, education and presentation is very necessary to raise awareness about issues. The more people who are in the know, the more momentum to stand up will manifest...over time. Peacefully protesting: Don't buy name brand anything, don't go to big name supermarkets, try for one week to not buy gas, not use public transportation...:-) Sacrifices must be made in order for change to occur, but once we sacrifice our dignity and freedom, we fall down a deep hole of ignorance.
