HAHAHA I had that happen once. I turned to the person and told them in response: "You may be capable to stand, but you obviously not capable to accept good deeds. Next time, don't be too proud of yourself." Peace, Lin

haha I've been doing this work since I was 13. I don't utilize acupuncture on strangers for legal reasons. Unless I know them very very very well. Any of my students, or family and their trusted friends, I will use the acupuncture. But random people who stop by, no way..lol About responsibilities and this country...was it recently a 700billion dollar bailout??? hahahah Peace and Blessings, Lin

Really? Hey, just come down! I just felt we had this conversation over the phone! But we didn't...yet hahahahaha Hope you're doing fine. OI! Yeah, NO -Walkins! It is such that during gongfu class, when utilizing the pole for strength training, and someone randomly walks in by pushing the heavy door with a thrust, the pole ends up in their face!. They either sign up for classes, or scream and run away. It has happened many times, and hilarious if on video! hahaha But there is no extra room there, so anyone walking in will be sitting around, and or talking to a friend while I'm seeing a patient. Anywho... I'll treat the jet lag for free..its a real simple method: I just get a tall glass of cold water, look at you directly in the eyes, and then SPLASH !!! throw the cold water on your face. If that doesn't wake you up while on the table, then there's no hope ! hahahaha (kidding) All are welcome. Even to just hang for some tea! (the tea is free) hahaha Peace, Lin

Well, I'm 28yrs old, I have friends whom I see on a friday night for a few hours, but no bars, or drinking. When at home, my father likes to have a beer or two in which I may drink one with him for the sake of conversation, but that's about it, and that's rare as well. I'm not one for drinking though. I go out with my Sifu after Wing Chun class, and we chat over a late night snack just for the hell of it. But in general, cultivation changes one's mind, and alters one's habits, so a lot of the "usual" things that one may do may not be in a cultivator's lifestyle. It is quite normal to have such a result as not being with friends much, not going out late, and not even watching TV or even listening to the radio. The mind finds no need for such things because there is a transformation of one's views when in the world of cultivation. I've been in that world since about 8, 9 yrs old. I had an active teenage years with friends and the like, but there was always a conflict of interest when it came to hanging out with them late nights, and the like. TUrns out most of them are still doing the same thing, still on drugs, and still drinking. Some tohught I had died, some thought I was in a mental institution...they haven't heard from me in YEARS, and when they did hear of how I am, they were in shock. I remember seeing an old frined about a year ago..his first words were, " can you lend me 5 dollars?" and it was for marijuana...lol I didn't give it to him, and after that he never called me, and I never saw him again..of course, I went back to China, but now that I have returned, still no sign of him or my old friends..lol In the world of cultivation, it is just two different levels of mental state when it comes to meetings with those of no cultivation in this life. As Grand Master Cheng Man Ching said for Taiji Quan and daily life. "Invest in Loss." Peace and Blessings, Lin

While developing in China the already developed Chan school of India was full and well grounded. Bodhidharma brought the lineage of the Mind to Mind transmission of Dhyana from Shakyamuni Buddha Bodhidharma was the 28th Patriarch of the Dhyana Cultivation school. When coming to China, so people can recognize the teachings, the language barrier played an important role in the tranferring/translating of Sutras from Sanskrit to Chinese. So, yet language was borrowed, yet the cultivation school was already established and developed. Its just that the Chinese Patriarchs of the Dhyana school are more renowned because of the vast culture of spreading the word in China...lol India also never was a country of complete Buddhists, so it wasn't revered as highly as it was in China, hence the publicity China gets for Buddhism. As it developed in China, it had to fuse with the cultural establishment of the time, or no one would understand and or even bother. Its like that now, and has always been like that. So, in China, the intermingling of Confucianism, Daoism and Buddhism played an important role in the propagating of the teachings, as wella s the deeper rooting and development of Chinese culture. They all help each other because of the virtue and moral teachings within them. Without those teachings, it would be deviant ! Peace and Blessings, Lin

As in the words of the famous Cheech and Chong: "What's dat? I don't know. Looks like dog chit to me. Yeah. Smell it. What? Smell. Smell like dog chit? Yuck! Smells like dog chit. Hm, pick it up (touch, forgot) What? Pick it up! Feel like dog chit? Yeah, feels like dog chit. Hm, Taste! WHAAAT?! TASTE! Taste like dog chit? Yeah, ugh, taste like dog chit. Ya, good thing we don't step in it!"

I agree with you, and really was complementing you on the effort, as well as saying to the forum that what you are doing, have done, is what some want to actualize in as an in-person lecture. I think its a great idea! Peace, Lin

What you are promoting is exactly what Song Yong Dao on this forum suggested and then was it Mythmaker who started a forum on the idea...I can't find the forum now. Searched at least 7 pages, but not there. Non-commercial, straight to the point, and that is what will have students calling for more. Peace, Lin

I would hope not. But Steve, the guy with the dreads, is well rounded. The system would conform, as should most martial arts, to the most common mannerisms of the practitioner. There is a better way of applying than in the vid, and though it was his first match, I'm sure he was a bit nervous. Some of my brothers in Bagua utilize a more boxing style to execute Bagua hand techniques. THere are better videos from BT. Peace, Lin No I don't, but check his website. I'm sure something may be on there.

Master Xu is my Bagua Teacher's, Black Taoist, Teacher of Yin Fu Bagua Zhang! He indeed knows his Bagua and Internal!

Amituofo! You know there is a Dao for every culture; African, Caribbean, European, etc. They all have their principles, ,and they all have their light and dark. Truth of the matter is after all the wrestling with light and dark, there is only that which the light and dark arise from, reside in, and not arise from and not reside in. There is a form on if he shold be banned. I don't believe cutting people out would be good, but openly debating with respect should be encouraged. Peace and Blessings, Lin
