Many traditions, Buddhism, Taoism, emphasize simplicity, almost bordering mundane living styles. However, what about being a creator? The artist, The musician, The poet, the engineer, the entrepreneur. Monday through Friday becomes a belief system for many of these people, as it truly is. While hard work is implied, each day and each moment they are free. Some spiritual traditions emphasize that The crown Chakra, brings the "birth of a creator."

I think sleeping grounded to the earth, the idea of yin chi, to be most important. It would seem they are always grounded. Overwork probably isn't good either. I mean, most of my money goes towards rent. So getting rid of that would just open up so much time..

So you would argue that before the human population grew, and before urban/suburban cities developed, humans were more healthy and the lifespan of humans was much longer? Western hospitals are primarily only good for emergencies.
-
I used to feel bad for westerners that worked salary jobs like prisoners their whole life, many dying before getting their retirement money, but then I realized many of them live in houses and have beautiful families.
-
I mean they seem to die from infection. Modern hospitals probably increase life expectancy to some degree. Also, nature isn't so forgiving.

The American Journal of Human Biology "Villages in the remote forest and riverine regions show 2–4 times higher mortality rates from infancy until middle adulthood than in the acculturated region. While there was little change in mortality for most of the life course over the period 1950–1989, overall life expectancy at birth improved by 10 years from 45 to 53 after 1990. In both periods, over half of all deaths were due to infectious disease, especially respiratory and gastrointestinal infections. Accidents and violence accounted for a quarter of all deaths. Unlike typical patterns described by epidemiologic transition theory, we find a much larger period reduction of death rates during middle and late adulthood than during infancy or childhood. In the remote villages, infant death rates changed little, whereas death rates among older adults decreased sharply. We hypothesize that this pattern is due to a combination of differential access to medical interventions, a continued lack of public health infrastructure and Tsimane cultural beliefs concerning sickness and dying" http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ajhb.20600/full (not to imply i live or die by these sources, just answering your question.)

Capitalism, private property and sociopathy
MooNiNite replied to blackstar212's topic in The Rabbit Hole
Eventually you need to see that there is no separation between socialism and capitalism. Capitalism grows to corrupt governments, creating socialism. (been happening in USA) Socialism leads to internal struggle and war, the people demand more freedom, creating capitalism. (been happening in china) -

you have been duped. You don't understand basic economics. -
at first look it would appear tribal people are so healthy, http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/news/305411/amazon-tribe-has-worlds-healthiest-arteries then you realize they have a life expectancy of 42 years..

Capitalism, private property and sociopathy
MooNiNite replied to blackstar212's topic in The Rabbit Hole
The USA's movement towards socialism is what has destroyed it. in the 50's the USA had the highest standard of living in the world. But as the government grew, taxes grew, and capitalism has gotten weaker. Trump's plan for america will actually make america great again. -

That's a laughable statement. -

Only a corrupted government can bail out capitalist corporations and banks. In other countries they put the banking leaders in jail, which we should have done. This has nothing to do with capitalism, it has everything to do with socialism. -

Obama's attempts at undermining American democracy
MooNiNite replied to Aetherous's topic in The Rabbit Hole
Your response wasn't sufficient enough to get much more than a simple "baloney". Forget comparing Obama to Trump, I would argue Obama threatened democracy more than any president in US history. Taking away choice with regards to health care, is a serious threat to democracy. Almost taking away second amendment rights to guns. -

It's actually not so simple to find the deficit impact of ACA. Iv seen figures from 1.7 trillion to 5 trillion.

Cool observation!!!!!! First of all, I couldn't care less what you think. You are taking bits and pieces pieces out of context. Second of all, the dems going up in flames is a response to Trumps health bill going up in flames. Third of all, Trump redirecting his energy towards putting Obama in prison, is an assumption that his energy has been put into TrumpCare.

Trump might just redirect his energy towards putting Obama in prison.

hopefully obama and comey and all the government dems go down in flames too, considering they undoubtedly spied on Trump.

Do (all) enlightened masters agree on any one single thing?

The definition of enlightenment isn't even clear, let alone what a group of people in this "category" would agree on.- 126 replies
