  2. Just Google'd Neil Douglas Klotz and found this video...thought some of you might find it interesting
  3. What do you guys do for your career?

I'm trying to decide on a course to take at some point, either next year or the one after, that will lead to a job of some kind, and I'm just curious what it is that you guys do...The only thing I'm really "qualified" in is music and, whilst it's a great thing to do, I'm thinking it might be a good idea for me to pick up something as well. Aaaaaaand, go...
  4. Hey Bums I'm toying with the idea of spending a bit of money to go and get some advice from a Tantra practitioner in my city - My attempts to conserve/transmute my sexual energy by myself haven't really worked out, and I don't want to keep wasting it either, so I thought investing and going to see someone who actually knows what they're talking about might be a good idea. It doesn't look cheap, but I think it'd be worth spending a bit to really learn how to appreciate and please women properly. Anyway, I know some of you guys know a thing or two about Tantra, so I was just wondering what I'd be in for if I went ahead and did this? Thanks.
  5. What exactly happens in a Tantra coaching session?

I don't really belong to either of those two stereotypes you mentioned, but, interesting. Good luck to you as well.
  6. What exactly happens in a Tantra coaching session?

Maybe I have and/or gave the wrong impression here. I was mainly seeing if anyone who knows about the subject would be able to tell me a bit about it. Also, I thought Tantra was a practice that deals with the circulation of sexual energy through the body, as well as the promotion of bliss for each person involved? Maybe not, I don't really know. GrandmasterP - I would indeed prefer a steady, loving relationship. Peace.
  7. Manifestation, Law of attraction

I've been reading and watching a fair bit of stuff about this lately. Personally, I don't really see anything "wrong" with trying to draw what you want into your life experience, as long as you remain humble about it and give back to people/the world/the universe in return. If such a thing as your "life's purpose" exists, I doubt it involves being poor, slaving away and struggling to get by, but (and this is a very broad generalisation) rather having the freedom to do the things you want to do, the things you enjoy, as long as it's not at the expense of others. That's just my opinion.
  8. Requesting Music Recommendations

Wow, this is incredible...Just my cup of tea at the moment
  9. Have any of you guys tried Quantum Jumping?

  10. As the thread title suggests, I'm curious to know how many of you guys follow one particular tradition. If you do, what is it? How did you come to find a home there? One thing I've noticed in myself, is that I seem to, at times, feel some kind of need or desire to find one particular tradition to follow, as it seems that would make things a fair bit more certain. But, on the other hand, I have a distaste for dogma and being told how to do things, and I think that's why I haven't settled on anything concrete as of yet. This little conundrum used to frustrate me, but now I try and just chuckle to/at myself How do you personally feel about people who borrow bits and pieces from various sources and combine/mash them together to form their own system? For example, I find myself really interested in both Zen Buddhism and Western occultism, but when I start thinking about how I'd like to combine them I get a nagging little voice in my mind that questions whether it's "okay" or "right" to do that. I don't even know who I think I'm going to offend I know there's probably some purists out there (not necessarily on these boards) who would frown on this, and I'd be interested in hearing from them as well as people who do practice syncretism. Peace, bums.
  11. Do you "belong to"/follow any particular tradition?

Thanks for the reply GrandmasterP...what you say makes a lot of sense. I just have to work out how to let go of this desire/need I sometimes feel to belong to a particular tradition...or maybe the problem is that I'm trying to work it out in the first place.
  12. Talking with Gods

Hey guys, I was looking up video's about magic the other day and came across this documentary called "Talking with Gods" - It's about the life of Scottish comic book writer/occultist Grant Morrison, who I found to be an inspirational character, a true artist. I thought some of you would like to check it out... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KxeaERpyXvA Enjoy
  13. Talking with Gods

I'm not that into comic books either actually, though I do feel like checking some of Mr.Morrison's work out after watching that video. I believe he also wrote a short book on Chaos Magic, entitled "Pop Magic", or something like that. Google it
  14. Ritualistic Magic? Whats the point?

Thanks, Seth - Again, I appreciate your reply.
  15. Ritualistic Magic? Whats the point?

I have one more n00b question in relation to Chaos Magic, and was hoping someone could give me some insight: I want to know, seeing as its described as a "meta-paradigm", and has a seemingly heavy emphasis on shifting between beliefs and all that stuff, if it will in any way take away from the "sacredness" and "mystery" that I perceive in life? That may sound stupid (hey, I did say n00b question) but I'm sort of on the verge right now of exploring this "meta-paradigm" or deciding if it would be wise to seek elsewhere for what I'm after, which, I suppose, is a spirituality that will allow me to connect with nature/the universe, and my own divinity, as well as myself, in a way that is free of dogma and unnecessary rules. I would like to be able to effect the reality around me, and go with the flow at the same time. At times (though less than in the past) I find myself overwhelmed at the endless amount of paths one can walk, but that doesn't get anyone very far now, does it? I guess a part of me is wary about being sucked into something I won't be able to get out of, but f*ck, I'll only live this life once and I want to make the most of it. For those who know about it, do you think Chaos Magic might be for me? Peace all
  16. Ritualistic Magic? Whats the point?

Wow, no matter what your beliefs, it's hard for me to see how anyone could think that this isn't absolutely beautiful.
  17. Ritualistic Magic? Whats the point?

Please do, White Wolf, please do...
  18. Hey, sinancencer, I'm in a somewhat similar situation to you at the moment, in that I've been unsure lately about which direction I'd truly like to take with my life. I was actually enrolled in University up until very recently, but decided to quit because, well, I simply wasn't enjoying it...For the time being, I'm going to focus my energy on my music, spiritual cultivation, and just get some part time work on the side to help me along. I (obviously) don't know all the details of your situation, but I just thought I'd say that, in my opinion anyway, if you follow your heart, you may not be as "secure" as many other people (it's possible that your dad is pushing the security thing because deep down he cares for you and wants to see you do well for yourself) but you'll probably end up much happier in the long run. But that's coming from someone in his early 20's who doesn't have that much life experience under his belt, so take it as you please. I sincerely wish you happiness and peace in whatever you decide to do
