Thanks! I do have some dampness, but I think if it got significantly worse because of the pills I would notice... and it's never a problem in the ridiculously dry desert summer heat... I've had deficient blood/yin for as long as I can remember, and I've used tonics for short periods of time, cooking with astragulas, rhemmania and...what was the other one, I forget...

Follow your heart; your mind can and will mislead you.

I have quite a lot, actually. I've always wanted to get a tattoo but it's so extremely forbidden in Judaism that I don't think I'd ever get one. I also am super careful with prayer books, never letting them touch the ground or writing in them. I don't follow this all the time but it's one I'm quite aware of. In the sweat lodge I try my hardest not to touch my skin when I'm sweating. I will use a scratch stick if I have one or just not touch my skin at all. Also I only walk clockwise in ceremony...and this is one I had a hard time with at first because different ceremonies go counterclockwise... I decided I would walk counterclockwise if I knew what the reason was and if it was a good reason--but every single ceremony I've been to since I became aware of this, they will not tell you why they go counterclockwise--it's always a secret. There's other specific ceremonial ones I've been told--like not naming who a dancer is if you recognize him, stuff like that. Also I observe the taboo about not picking up artifacts.

I didn't say there wasn't one true side, I just said I don't know which one it is.

That's a good one for V-Day!

Here's some videos someone just sent me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FFXM0claHq4 I can see both sides.

And there it is, right at the bottom of the page! Trunk is the master of the obvious. Wish I had that title.

The ampersand is a donated money thing. Not so sure about the swirlies.

I was there... I actually prefer Avebury. It's less crowded and you're actually allowed access, as opposed to the Henge which is kinda blocked off...

Are you stopping by Arizona on your way there?

Ooh, maybe I'll go to Roaring Fork when I'm in Scottsdale next Saturday.

Oh cool. That dude is an SBGi affiliate (Matt Thornton's gym).

Okay, so I'll stretch my hip flexors. Hate's too strong a word!! I think my view of him is sort of like Bob Dylan in that song Don't Think Twice, It's Alright, when he says things such as "you just kind of wasted my precious time" and "Goodbye's too strong a word, so I'll just tell you fare the well" and such.

I have a hard time with the idea that we are all perfect just as we are.

Does anybody know what the herbs they use in Chod are? I was just curious. I went to a Healing Chod with a visiting teacher in July '05. I think it helped me temporarily. Afterwards they gave us a spoonful of stuff. I asked what it was, and they just said "herbs." I asked what they were for, and a nun said, "to soothe what ails you." It was very bitter, red and I think I tasted myrrh....

Ours was powder and you took it by the spoonful. It tasted gross. I still have no idea what was in it. lol. Thanks for the info!

Every once in a while MMA guys get stabbed... In fact I have a friend who teaches taijutsu who had a student who was an expert Thai boxer and a black belt in BJJ who got stabbed in a street fight. He was on top of his opponent in mount beating his face in when he got stabbed in the leg, just inches from his artery. So MMA prepares you more for competition than for real fights. OTOH a lot of people who train internal arts never practice alive (see the Thornton video I posted a while ago), so while they may think they have these awesome deadly skills, they wouldn't be able to apply them against even a modicum of resistance. I say train everything.

I thought emptiness was the feminine and karma was the masculine.

Candace Pert talks about this a lot in her books and in an interview I did with her (that was supposed to get published but they said it's not scientific enough...) Your body is your subconscious mind, you create your own experiences.

There's a lot of Buddhists in town who tell me that the point of meditation is to experience emptiness. But when I meditate it's because I want to drop enough ego for the Light to work through me. Is that emptiness? I never understood the whole emptiness thing. I read about a study that showed that the part of your brain that's in charge of SELECTION, of what you pay attention to, is actually increased, grows bigger, through meditating.

Chuck Liddell studied internal arts?

Just thought I'd post it as a poll.
