I'll be at the free talk in Tempe on Friday, but not the workshop. Also I may come up on Monday to hang out, depending on a bunch of factors.
-
I visited Coral Castle in Florida about a year and a half ago, amazing stuff.
-
Yay! Her Time Management From the Inside Out is good too... and there are DVDs for both books.
-
There's no UFC here but someone sent me the vid link; I was psyched! I will celebrate with a country breakfast. Also I saw the Liddell fight, good stuff!

Okay, I will try to go. Like I said my planner is at home and I am many many miles South of home so I'll have to check my calendar. Sounds fun, though, and Tempe is closer than Phoenix. Will I get to say hi afterwards and have Max sign my high heels?

Okay, it was hard to narrow this down to ten, and I'm not sure I'm happy with this list because the really important things in my life are not all on here, but some of them are not resolution-friendly. 1. Get organized (this includes money management, physical organization, school stuff, decorating my house, and organizing my time so that I work more efficiently and have more time during the week to spend with my friends and my kick-ass boyfriend.) 2. Plant and maintain a garden. 3. Get my teaching certification, whether that means spending another year at Apollo or student-teaching for 9 weeks in the fall. 4. Pay off 20% of my student loans (which may be too high of a figure actually). 5. Work out five times a week--two days of MMA and 3 of Olylifting. Meet my O-lifting goals. Do mobility work. 6. Martial arts: SBGi for a week in the spring, lots of MMA, Blauer stuff 7. Frickin' finish Kamana 2 after all these years, and maybe do 3 also 8. Healing arts: I want to do the Homeopathy at Home, Work and Play course and also get Bergner's tape on insulin resistance. 9. Follow my food chart (starting with limiting wheat and dairy), sleep 8+ hours a night, cook and bake more 10. Write, do writing workshops, go to a Susan Wooldridge workshop if possible Julie Morgenstern says to divide your goals into 6 categories and pick 3 activities a month for each goal. My categories are: home, work, health, creativity, nature and relationships. Or something like that. My planner is at home and I'm several thousand miles South of home so will have to refine this later.

Doesn't tell me much. What is the free talk about, have you been to any?

I've read it too...but the best books I've ever read are Organizing From the Inside Out and Time Management From the Inside Out by Julie Morgenstern. She has DVDs too. Those books were lifesavers for me.

Is there like a flier or something?
-
I've never done Kunlun but isn't there some free talk or something? I just wanted to maybe go and hang out with bums but I don't want to sign up for anything.
-
I'm still toying with the idea of going to the free Friday talk thing.
-
I have too many goals to list. The big one is to get more organized. I also want to have a garden and to get in better shape.

I think deciding based on a vote is quite silly. "Seek not the favor of the multitude, for it is seldom gotten by honest or lawful means. But seek the testimony of few, and number not voices, but weigh them." --Immanuel Kant

I think if you decide to post in 2008, you shouldn't make any posts about not posting.
-
I'm off work on the 21st for MLK day so I may be able to come hang out with some bums if anybody's going, just let me know... I have a workshop all day on the 19th OR I'll be watching UFC, so Sunday afterwards would be cool.

I'm not grounded and I talk too much; this I already knew. Root: under-active (-50%) Sacral: open (50%) Navel: open (13%) Heart: open (25%) Throat: over-active (69%) Third Eye: open (44%) Crown: open (19%)

I disagree that they're not really real, because I've seen similar things when not on drugs as I have on them. The difference was that I had the grounding and training to be able to deal with them. I also think dreams are really real. -

Homeopathic peyote makes you trip real nice and good, but the crash is really hard. Just sayin'. -
LOL. Well, I found out my blood type, which is all I needed to know anyway. I'm a hunter/gatherer.

I think there is a difference between drugs and medicine--between ritualistic cultural use of a plant and just drug use. I don't really agree that the things we see and feel while on drugs aren't real... only that we're not necessarily ready to see them. -
from an e-mail fwd, sorry for the all caps Happy Thanksgiving! ============ I AM THANKFUL FOR THE WIFE WHO SAYS IT'S HOT DOGS TONIGHT, BECAUSE SHE IS HOME WITH ME, AND NOT OUT WITH SOMEONE ELSE. FOR THE HUSBAND WHO IS ON THE SOFA BEING A COUCH POTATO, BECAUSE HE IS HOME WITH ME AND NOT OUT AT THE BARS! FOR THE TEENAGER WHO IS COMPLAINING ABOUT DOING DISHES BECAUSE IT MEANS SHE IS AT HOME, NOT ON THE STREETS. FOR THE TAXES I PAY BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM EMPLOYED. FOR THE MESS TO CLEAN AFTER A PARTY BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE BEEN SURROUNDED BY FRIENDS. FOR THE CLOTHES THAT FIT A LITTLE TOO SNUG BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE ENOUGH TO EAT. FOR MY SHADOW THAT WATCHES ME WORK BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM OUT IN THE SUNSHINE FOR A LAWN THAT NEEDS MOWING, WINDOWS THAT NEED CLEANING, AND GUTTERS THAT NEED FIXING BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE A HOME. FOR ALL THE COMPLAINING I HEAR ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT BECAUSE IT MEANS WE HAVE FREEDOM OF SPEECH. FOR THE PARKING SPOT I FIND AT THE FAR END OF THE PARKING LOT BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM CAPABLE OF WALKING AND I HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH TRANSPORTATION. FOR MY HUGE HEATING BILL BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM WARM. FOR THE LADY BEHIND ME IN CHURCH WHO SINGS OFF KEY BECAUSE IT MEANS THAT I CAN HEAR. FOR THE PILE OF LAUNDRY AND IRONING BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE CLOTHES TO WEAR. FOR WEARINESS AND ACHING MUSCLES AT THE END OF THE DAY BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE BEEN CAPABLE OF WORKING HARD. FOR THE ALARM THAT GOES OFF IN THE EARLY MORNING HOURS BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM ALIVE. AND FINALLY, FOR TOO MUCH E-MAIL BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE FRIENDS WHO ARE THINKING OF ME. Live well, Laugh often, & Love with all of your heart!
