  1. Socialism does work

They all seem to come out of the same politically correct mould which makes them bland to say the least. This is what make the likes of Jeremy Corbyn and Boris Johnson so attractive, they will tell you what they believe even if it drops them right in bother for doing so. You have to respect folk like that even if you completely disagree with what they say.
  2. Socialism does work

They certainly rebranded themselves under New Labour and gave the impression of being a safe pair of hands to run the UK economy. It was, alas, simply smoke and mirrors and like all Socialist Governments it ended in tears. You may well remember their 1997 election song "Things Can Only Get Better." Well they dindn't did they? As regards the Labour Leadership election I was of the opinion that it would be best for the country for Corbyn to win as he would make Labour completely un electable. I now believe that this end would be best served by Yvette Cooper becoming the party leader. Her earnestness make one feel decidedly queasy.

this is just too good it cannot will not last long for all things must change
  4. Socialism does work

Exactly. Unfortunately the goal is not attained and mayhem is caused by those attempting to reach it.
  5. Socialism does work

True. But I would argue that they are cousins under the skin. Take for instance the Guardian Newspaper in the U.K. A pillar of Liberal thought but read by more Socialist than Liberal voters.
  6. Socialism does work

The greatest tragedy of Left Wing Liberal thought is the idea that if you improve society you will improve the individual. This is simply not the case and they have got things back to front. Only be improvement in the individual will society improve. All left wing Liberal argument is based on fallacy. A house built on sand.
  7. Socialism does work

This would suggest that Socialism is founded on reason. Take care for the earth shall shift beneath your feet.
  8. Socialism does work

The problem is that those with a Left Wing Liberal mindset always believe that they will do better than the examples you have given. This is the real tragedy and it is virtually impossible to convince them otherwise. It should also be mentioned that when things do go wrong it is never their fault.
  9. Socialism does work

Not wanting full Socialism is akin to not wanting full cancer. It gives the impression that a little bit is OK. Sadly that is not the case. If you reside in the UK and don't want full Socialism you should simply vote Liberal. That way you will ensure a slightly more whiny version of the same thing.
  10. Socialism does work

Healthcare and education, the two great golden calfs of politicians. The National health Service in the UK is, believe, the third largest employer in the world after the Chinese Red Army and the Indian Railway Service. It has become so big and unwieldy that it is bordering on being unmanageable. As may be expected in any socialist engineered enterprise it is top heavy with bureaucrats, to criticisize the NHS or cut its funding has become a means to political suicide. Education in the UK has become a football bounced about by politicians and again this has been socialist led. Socialists talk a good job but when it comes to practice they have the Midus touch in reverse.
  11. Socialism does work

It is indeed difficult to argue against the basic tenets of Socialism or indeed Liberalism. Fortunately we do not need to argue, simply let them come to a position of power and it will soon be made clear why they are such a disaster. I for one hope that Master Corbyn finds himself as leader of the Labour Party with the old Socialist battle cry of "From each according to their ability, to each according to their needs."

A person may be clever. A person may well be a genius. We should remember however that the person may not be wise.

  14. Osho Rajneesh Cult Documentary

There is little doubt that Osho was the leader of a cult which was fashionable with spiritual seekers for many years. All things considered he probably did more harm than good to his disciples. That said it should be remembered that in his later years the day to day running of his organisation was passed to a group of ladies known as the Big Mama's, these headed by one Ma Anand Sheela https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ma_Anand_Sheela who was anything but spiritual and who was responsible for much of the lunacy afoot around Osho. All things considered the buck stopped with Osho who allowed this group to assume control, his disciples should also question themselves. Osho's was a cult appealing to those who sought to bask in the radiance of an achieved master and they found fools gold rather than the real thing. There is still no shortage of such people and still no shortage of "Masters" who are only too happy to take them in. 'Caveat Emptor'
