  1. What to do about degenerating vitality

Having been a shift worker for thirty two years ( now retired I am pleased to say) I have no reservations in stating that being of regular habits regarding eating, sleeping etc is by far the best course to steer. Sleep disruption wears one down and the tragedy is that we can get used to this state and do not realise that it can be improved. I also cannot state that I know anything for sure but it is a safe bet to assume that regular sleep, good food, exercise and a generally healthy lifestyle will result in increased vitality. It is also good to remember "Everything in moderation, Nothing in excess."

  12. On being a little Strange

Very good. Thank you for that. I am afraid that it makes perfect sense that as you develop spiritually you will find fewer and fewer people on your wavelength. It is, alas, a simple fact of life as is the fact that fewer people will understand you. "The sage understands the fool because they were once foolish. The fool however fails to understand the sage because they have yet to be wise."

  18. It is not so much the time spent in practice but the quality of that practice. A short period spent in mindful, conscious performance of a given form, qigong exercise or whatever will be of far greater benefit than a long period spent simply going through the motions.
  19. What the Hell?

Food for thought. “What is hell? Hell is oneself. Hell is alone, the other figures in it Merely projections. There is nothing to escape from And nothing to escape to. One is always alone.”T.S. Eliot
  20. Tests of Strength

We rarely have to summon such tests as life in general has a habit of delivering them to us when least expected. It is called being human.

  25. What's the easiest way to live in the present?

The idea though is not as ridiculous as it at first may sound. The hairshirt or similar devices were created to keep the mind tethered by the pain or discomfort they inflicted on the wearer. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cilice
