It does appear that you are standing down and leaving the forum on a matter of principle. That is all very well and noble, in the old Roman tradition, but such decisions are best not done in haste. Become a normal Bum for a while, don’t bother to post if you so wish but don’t jam your hat on and walk out of the door for good. That is just too final.

"I grow old, I grow old. I shall wear the bottoms of my trousers rolled."

Your a silly old bugger aren't you?

I am not familiar Zhong Yuan Qigong and so cannot comment on the practice. However so far as lineage goes we must be mindful that a great deal of rubbish is spoken as regards this by persons seeking to give authority and provenance to their practice. It is a basic tenet of taoism that change is constant. It would be impossible for a system of Qigong to remain unchanged over long periods of time as improvements or misunderstandings made by practitioners would come into play. As regards Soaring Cranes suggestion that students may be pushed along too fast in this system. Well that is always a danger in energy work and it will always come back to the fact that practitioners must take responsibility for their own practice and its results. What about the esoteric Russian females hanging around Mingtang? Well that is another question isn't it?

"And did those feet in ancient times Walk upon Englands past mountains green? And was the holy lamb of God In Englands pleasant pastures seen?" William Blake. So far as Druids go the ancient religion practiced by them was well and truly destroyed by the Romans when they raised Anglesey, seeing the Druids as as fostering revolt against their rule in Britain. This led to the revolt by Boudica, Queen of the Iceni which was again put down with roman efficiency not to mention bloodshed. The Druid order which exists today can only be an approximation of the ancient religion at best. http://www.angleseydruidorder.co.uk/ So far as Christianity in England goes there is a legend that both Jesus and Joseph of Arimathea visited England and Glastonbury in particular. Joseph apparently drove his staff into the gound on the Tor and it grew into the thorn tree which is still to be found there. The links below give greater details and may be of interest. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_of_Arimathea http://www.storyline-features.co.uk/glastonbury.htm

This is the ultimate no brainer and such behaviour could never be deemed acceptable.
-
This is all very cryptic. What on earth has been going on?
-
No it has been made public so as to be shared. We just cannot see how.
-
Thank you for sharing. Unfortunately I can't work out how to embed it either, though I am sure that it is simple enough when you know how.

I certainly have regrets and the thought has oft times occured to me that were I to live my life again I would do things differently. The fact is however that we cannot change what we have done and the really important thing is to do our best not to repeat the mistakes of the past. Unfortunately most of us make the same mistake over and over and never seem to learn.

Socrates got it right when he stated "Everything in moderation nothing in excess." If you are really keen on gaining functional strength then I would recommend the use of kettlebells and/or clubbells along with bodyweight exercises. I have yet to be convinced that spiritual development is in any way enhanced by physical weakness and Socrates was in fact renowned for having great physical strength and served as a soldier in his youth.

I can assure you all that I am not John Chang and am as likely to ignite some crumpled paper with my energy as i am to ignite my boxer shorts whilst I am wearing them.
