Very interesting and well woth watching. Thank you for posting.

Its all a bit macabre and left hand pathish for my taste. But very interesting all the same.

"If you sit long enough at the rivers edge the body of your enemy will come floating by." I have always had a liking for this quote and have found it to be true. Often attributed to Sun Tzu it apparently does not appear in the art of war and its origin is unknown.

Yes both interesting and entertaining but they can also be ensnaring and distract you from your main purpose in meditation - the attainment of higher states of consciousness.
-
This stream of visions is not uncommon during meditation as the mind relaxes. The general advice would be to simply let them go and not become distrations.
-
I agree with thelerner. During meditation you may experience all manner of images, visions, call them what you will. My advice would be to simply let them go. There are those who would attempt to interpret what they see but this can distract you from your main purpose.

"Demand much of yourself and expect little of others. Thus you will be spared much vexation."
-
Yes we all see the world through our own eyes and the second sentence is problematic. Its all very difficult and its probably best to be as kind to ourselves as it is to be kind to others with our judgements.
-
I fully agree with the proviso that one must first be taught what to do to progress in any given endeavor. For that you will require a teacher who, hopefully, has already achieved that which you aspire to. It is then a matter of keeping to your path with the desired destination in mind and not allowing yourself to be sidetracked by spiritual tourism.
-
This is a difficult question as few indeed are those wise enough to judge themselves. When it comes to judging the maturity and responsible nature of others then it is only possible to do so by using ourselves as a measure. This is indeed dangerous territory.

"Myself when young did eagerly frequent Doctor and Saint and heard great argument About it and about: but evermore Came out by that same door as in I went." The Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám How many of us would have to agree with this?

Hello and welcome to the forum. The Lobby is really only for introductions but I do not doubt that you will get some answers to your question. You should realise that there is a little more to the matter than simply refraining from ejaculation. if you use the search facility you will find a good deal on the subject of semen retention and the cultivation of jing. You will be able to post freely in the forum now but we ask that you read the two posts pinned at the top of the Lobby and also take a look at the forum terms and rules http://thetaobums.com/topic/19575-forum-terms-rules/ This covers all that you need be aware of when getting started. Good luck and best wishes, Chang- 3 replies

Hello and welcome to the Tao Bums Sunchild. An interesting introductory post which reminds me of a Hermann Hesse short story I read many years ago where a prisoner paints a scene on his cell door of fields with a path running across them. He then walks out of his cell through the wall and along the path to freedom. I cannot throw light on your experiences with "creative" writing but I am sure that it will create great intertest on the forum. You will now be able to post freely but first we ask that you read the two posts pinned at the top of the Lobby and take a look at the forum terms and rules http://thetaobums.com/topic/19575-forum-terms-rules/ This covers all that you need be aware of. Hello and welcome to the Tao Bums. You will find no shortage of answers to your question here though it may help if you are more specific. Neikung is a broad term which covers a multitude of different schools and styles though your use of the term level one leads me to to suspect that you may mean Mo Pai. It will also help if you give details of your location so that you may be better advised. Anyway you will be able to post freely on the forum now but before getting started please take the time to read the two posts pinned at the top of the Lobby and take a look at the forum terms and rules http://thetaobums.com/topic/19575-forum-terms-rules/ This covers all that you need be aware of when making a start here. Good luck and best wishes, Chang.
