Whilst I agree with the idea of an ancestral memory I have grave doubts when I hear talk of drug treatment to have it altered. With some things the more we interfere the more problems we cause. This is a lesson mankind just does not seem to learn and this is a tragedy. Alas the number of people who feel that they need this treatment will be legion as will the number of practitioners who will provide the service.

Genetic Armageddon: Humanity's Greatest Threat
Chang replied to eye_of_the_storm's topic in The Rabbit Hole
Stupid people are a cause for concern. Stupid people in positions of power and with a desire for more are a cause of great worry. We can expect to be peddled the tale that genetic modification of plants will feed the hungry but in reality it is more likely to feed the pockets of multi national corporations. But alas the Genie is out of the bottle and all we can probably manage now is damage limitation. -

As regards your circle walking you will be at your most stable and balanced when in a state of energised relaxation or sung. at this point your centre of balance would be at the dantien. Anger, fear or exitement would bring about an increase of tension in the body and this would raise the centre of balance (usually up between the shoulder blades) thereby bringing loss of rooting. It is not therefor your chi that is rising but your centre of balance in this example.

The problem is that until we reach a state of full enlightenment it is impossible for us to know what it is like. Those of us who strive to reach this state do so on trust so to speak. We can be guided by those who have gone before us but we have yet to see that which they see. We live in hope that our striving will end in some worthwhile result. "We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time." - T. S. Eliot

It seems too much of a coincidence that the remains of the extremely tall Europeans found in China are not related in some way to the legend of the Sons of Reflected Light. Unfortunately little research can be expected from the Chinese on this subject for the simple reason that they are uninterested in remains of non Chinese origin. Any suggestion that Chinese culture was enhanced by these red haired giants is a thought too terrible to even contemplate.
