  1. best "mini yoga" asana routines

ET, I've never been able to get into the SS. I keep trying every so often. It's perhaps the most well reviewed mini system in existence. Mal, after reading all those reviews I'm still hanging out waiting for a miracle (reversing the beginning of grey hair at age 38). I did do the 5 Tibetan rites for about a year in my mid 20s and around that time an emergent grey situation was reversed. I don't know if the 5T had anything to do with it, but I'm hoping it did and will do it again. Sometimes I think that those reviews were written by total couch potatoes that would have experienced total life transformations if they just walked around the block once a day. Other times I feel that the 5T is really a very special routine even when compared to other excellent asana systems. Peter Kelder is still alive and well, after all. I'd imagine he's in his low 100s presently. I'm hungry for another mini system or two to do on a regular basis. So far Makko Ho isn't really floating my boat. There's Chia's morning meditation routine which is essentially a shortened version of Intuflow which I enjoy. It includes vacuum breathing. Btw, Kelder, per my memory of the most recent book, says that vacuum breathing (rite 6) isn't as controversial as he thought when writing the book back in the 30s. Also, total celibacy isn't as big of a deal either. I've been phasing in a few vacuum breaths a day usually in the AYP mini routine b4 meditation and I only do a very moderate level of sexual restraint usually.
  2. of course there's running and walking and being outside more and backing off energy practices a bit, reducing caffeine, even reducing meditation if you must, etc. A new one that I've found recently are vitamin Bs. Sounds strange, but take a B100 and see if you feel better. Maybe it was just a placebo, but it seemed to "cure" springtime reemergence issues for me. I didn't need to resort to my magnesium ways.
  3. I'm looking for breathing drills that can be done a few times a day in under 5 minutes that'll induce a good buzz. Thanks for any suggestions. I've dug up an old Ki breathing drill I found in the late 80s and go with that at the moment.

Eric, That reminds me, I do yin yoga w/healing sounds for standing toe touch at the end of the mini AYP routine. Poses held for awhile plus healing sounds are groovilicious. Yoda
  5. The Enneagram

    7s have the most fun.
  6. The Enneagram

that's a great test. I thought I was a 9, but really I'm a 5. That feels more accurate. Or maybe I just changed my tune? Thanks for the link!
  7. Serious Offer

On dragondoor.com it was "Cory Marie" I don't know if it was a hyphen in there or not. She was quite the flirt and very outrageous until she was exposed. If you search Cory Marie or "crying game" I think you'll find the thread unless Pavel deleted the whole thing in revulsion of Western values. She even got pregnant and had a cyberbaby! I love shit like that.

He'd have to be 18, of course. Even Yoda prequalifies!
  10. I thought it would be fun to have a list of gurus and their recommendations of optimal time between genital orgasms. I'll start with a few that come to mind: Edgar Cayce: 6-8 weeks Dr. Lin: 2 weeks Yogani: absolute minimum 1 week, longer is better but don't force it. RJ: Never. Gopi Krishna: Go by your feeling... if you feel stronger and more awake afterwards then you've got it. If you feel tired afterwards, then you are having them too often. I'd love to hear the various rules of thumb that you've picked up along the way. I'll dig up a few more too. Yoda

Alls well that ends well... we'll mark Michelle down as paid in full. Darebak... if your girl can hang on to that energy level at 4, your family is in for a wild ride!! Kids are being born with more and more energy as time goes on!!! I think us grown ups are rightly intimidated by the tidal wave that's a comin.
  12. better practice through science

The best scientists are often mystics.

    LOL!

I don't think the responses MichelleD got really mean anything one way or another, it was just cyberflirting done right. In my mind, the responses she got were chivalrous like in the tradition of the Gawain and the Green Knight... not too much, not too little. If anyone man or woman comes up to flirt with me I flirt back as they are the ones really putting themselves out there and I feel its nice to acknowledge and play with to any extent possible. It would have been sort of cold if nobody replied to her thread at all or said that having multiple partners was heartless, or accused her of disruption. We are nice folks, appreciated the fun angle, assumed the best, and each of us tried to chip in what we could. Even now, we have taken the whole thing humorously and everyone stays chums. What a nice group! I hope MichelleD sticks around too... I like crazy shit like that.
  15. Serious Offer

I'd say the chances that Michelle is a dude is 60/40. Makes me think of a little crying game on dragondoor.com a few years ago to Pavel's disgust and horror. Either way, I'm sorry she ran off. Determined to find out who had PM-ed her excessively, I PM-d her to get the facts. Just as I suspected, she singled out Trunk and Thelerner. You two need to be more cool on the approach, okay? I'm sure we'll all have plenty more propositions like that, so no biggie. Yoda Pietro, Congrats on Ireland!! I've heard many great things about that land. Yoda
  16. Serious Offer

Well, I don't think any of us are shocked by MichelleD's departure, but it was fun while it lasted. I'm impressed that Sean got himself and Lezlie into pole position quickly that was a great post by Yen Hui. Also, Pietro is the man with a plan! I hadn't fully realized. If memory serves, you are good on the PU angle too... you must be tearing it up there in Germany!!

I just PM-d our NYC Wonder Twins to log on to see if they can be of any assistance.

Michelle, you are *definitely* an asset to the abby!!! I, uh, never make it out of the swamps of Degoba but on behalf of me and my little green light saber, we certainly appreciate the offer and hope you stick around the forum. You definitely remind me of RJ... RJ was the taobum alpha male sex master for awhile... a bit crazed in the end, so Sean had to kick him off the site, but you might search past posts of "Ron Jeremy" and if you like his style, you might want to meet him in a public place and go from there. Last I checked, he's at [email protected]) I'd probably stick with Sean and Lezlie... both total hotties with hearts of gold. Your pal, Yoda

  23. Happy Birthday Sean!

Happy birthday, and have an enlightening next year.
  24. Happy Equinox!

It's either today or tomorrow. Here in SC, pretty much all the trees are starting to bud out or breaking their buds altogether and having at it. Can feel it!
  25. I just read a very cool neurogenesis article in this week's Newsweek about growing the brain through cardio type exercise. Very impressive and recommended article and educators are talking about extending PE to improve grades now that this research is out. Apparently cardio exercise has profound, long term effects on young brains. It has profound effects on mature brains, but not as long term and mostly focused in the hippocampus. Stretching and strength training doesn't deliver brain growth that cardio does. As time goes on, it'll be interesting to compare the degree of neurogenesis created by exercise vs meditation vs calorie restriction. Not as flashy, but here's a general article on the subject: http://www.lef.org/magazine/mag2002/jun200...ort_age_01.html (it's two pages.)
