"Keep this melon growing in the shade." I love that phrase!!!! A keeper! Great work, Witch!!! You are mixing karma here, so keep up the investigation! Definitely vet this guy before you introduce him to Mom! Your pal, Yoda

Witch, I think Apepch7 raises a good point... it would be a good idea to sit down and chat with your entity and explain that you want the truth... if he's really Drew Hempel or the old guy at the park, etc and if your association with him is harmful to you in the long run and be specific about that... if there are any afterlife ramifications, et. If he's not a projection of a currently embodied person then how did he get into this line of work and how did he get attracted to you, etc. If he can't speak or channel or automatic write with you he'll at the very least be able to move the ouija thingy if that's easier. Cut him off until he starts to talk. Not that he'll be truthful, but he'll definitely be game to spin a story that involves the truth. Keep him talking and you might be able to piece together more of the story. Good luck!!! Your pal, Yoda

Witch, It sounds like your colon is nice n clean so I'd say your chances are pretty good of making it through the procedure... keep us posted! Tell Raven that you are gonna crap him out! Thanks for the liver explanation, Steam, I was wondering about that! Your pal, Yoda

Marblehead, I'm wondering if Subhuti the Taoist is any relation to Subhuti the Buddhist patriarch? I've heard that there is a translation of j2w that has very extensive footnotes. Interesting that there are lots of spells to memorize in j2w's Taoism. One of the patterns that Subhuti says happens is that as one progresses in Taoism demons rise up in response! It seems to be a theme in j2w that going to the dark side is just part of the journey and helps one not to fall to the dark side's tricks in the future. Your pal, Yoda

Marblehead, I agree, but just a gut feeling. So I asked Mak Tin Si for feedback about J2W and he said that obviously a lot of it is fictional but lots of it is very true too... he said that the main issue is that j2w talks about the heavenly realm as this party scene where the Gods get drunk and do things that they regret sometimes and also sometimes fall from heaven becoming demons in the lower dimensions. Per Mak Tin Si's lineage, the Gods are not party animals but are very focused and very good to the extent that falling from heaven never happens. It turns out that the 5/6 realms of Buddhism are different from the realms of Taoism where the God realm in Taoism is a bodhisattvic like realm. Some other thoughts: when the Monkey King gets kicked out by his Taoist teacher, he keeps his powers... this wouldn't happen in real life. The interactions between the Taoist teacher and Monkey King and the Monkey King teaching martial arts to the king's three boys later in the book is an accurate representation of the style of Taoist teachings... with lots of ritual empowerments of the student mainly with the expectation of the student following certain moral guidelines. The Monkey rampage in the early part of the book is a bit redundant... stick with it or skim until Monkey gets crushed by the Buddha and the book picks up again. Your pal, Yoda

If you want to learn about Creation and Time Read Difficulties Resolved in Journey to the West. Imo, the author is a very enlightened person and the above isn't idle bragging. Journey to the West contains some extremely profound explanations of the process of the cultivation of conduct within the Taoist and Buddhist paths.

so here is a thread, not K specific, but picks up on the closely related entity/human interactions debate. Witch's "entities with benefits" thread: http://www.thetaobums.com/index.php?showtopic=11532&hl= -Yoda

Witch, I'm guessing that it's the same problem with a projector too. The one pal who was dealing with the teacher projecting, it didn't sound like a healthy relationship but the teacher's motivation was definitely off. If you feel like getting a Taoist perspective on it, you can email or call Mak Tin Si or Lau Tin Si. They might be able to vibe out the specifics of your friend's background as well and let you know if this is just your co-worker, neighbor, or internet friend just messing around. It's not me! Your pal, Yoda

Witch, I ran my situation past Mak Tin Si and he said that it doesn't matter whether the motivation of the entity from another dimension is good or bad or the motivation of the person in this world is good or bad, the person in this world will end up losing good energies and its an unfortunate mix... sort of like the squirrels living in one's house analogy... the realms need to keep a polite distance from each other. I'd imagine if you start adding in poor or mixed motivations on everyone's part, the situation gets worse. Your pal, Yoda

Thanks for the support Mind Meld Michael! It's like that dream of the morally ambiguous teacher dude and us taobums standing on the safe rug! Your pal, Yoda

Great benefits list of entity lovers... love it!!! I was hoping to develop a little on-the-side entity action through Kunlun... a little secondary benefit of the practice... plus it's not, technically speaking, cheating either... but decided that the entities that I was coming in contact with were out of a vampire novel: willing and able to confer bliss, enlightenment, siddhis and healings but with that came with a heavy price: a significant erosion of ancestral energy that was totally not worth it. The bliss blinds one to this theft/side effect. They might even teach you to steal from others to partially make up for it, but where does it all end? As I've said before in my K rant posts, maybe I just got some loser entities and others have negotiated superior terms with their entity relations, but I doubt it. These entities are smarter and more able than we are and can run circles around us so trying to outfox them at their game isn't a good move either. jmo! Your pal, Yoda

Witch... it's great that you are back!!! I love your threads!!! Hopefully you'll get some PMs from folks here and at realmsofmagick who have experience with all this. Between the two forums, I have 6 pals who have openly spoken about their entity/ghost/angel/demon/whatever lovers. One situation turned out to be a projection of their human teacher!!! I don't think it is good for your physical or mental health but I will always love you no matter what. your pal, Yoda

Themjay, If you want energetic healing, Mak Tin Si on taoismcanada.com is very good. He can't cure everyone of everything, but he is definitely worth emailing or calling directly. He's open to chat any time. My current figuring on mystery maladies is to not focus so much on the malady but to empower the thyroid through kelp/iodine and vitamin C and anything else that works for you along those lines. If you try iodine, just try very small doses like one kelp pill... that sort of thing. 3-10 g vitamin c per day and 1-3 kelp pills and very, very gradually up the iodine. Also taking time released melatonin, valerian, etc at bedtime 2-3x a week is also worth trying. Having very deep slumber 2-4am is really great for the immune system. Good luck and drop us a line when you have found the cure! Your pal, Yoda

Witch, I would think that having sex with someone in the spiritual dimension would prove its existence, yes? You are definitely a tough woman to please! Your pal, Yoda

Witch, Witch, Witch... What will we do with you??? there was a great thread about that on realmsofmagick.com where this nice young lady has a ghost lover and wondering about all that. She was pretty into it. Have you read Search for Om Seti yet? All about Egyptian entity sex minus the actual how to. So enough enabling... I doubt I'll be able to elicit any details anyways! It sets you up for a crash in the afterlife. Ghosts are like squirrels... not bad when they are in the right setting, but you don't want them in your house as they'll tear it up when you aren't looking. Sex with entities is a theme amongst at least some Kunlun students, so this ties into that discussion too. I decided that that particular path wasn't for me. Your pal, Yoda

Biff, You are quite the yodologist! I've very rarely deleted my old posts as I like to show off my inconsistencies through time and I'm glad that there are folks like you who have taken the time to read what I've written, so thanks for that! I'm not alone in bouncing around from practice to practice and it is a shortcoming of mine. One thing that I've never done before is to attack or second guess a past teacher or practice and I've had many: new age, Buddhist, Hindu, Yoga, and Taoist. To this day, I've been very respectful of my past teachers and have never second guessed or spoken against them. Except for Max. I definitely agree with the law of attraction/karma perspective that we get what we deserve and anything bad I got I definitely had coming to me. Maybe K is a good practice and I just didn't have the virtues needed for success... I hope you are right and I'll gratefully accept everyone's scolding for being wrong. We'll see! Your pal, Yoda

I finally plowed through what was left of this thread since I've been away! For the record, I think that Chris, Dakini, and the other students of K are excellent people with excellent intentions but the practice, what it is, who the entities are that one is interacting with, and what those entities are doing has not been disclosed. The many stories of healings by Max and other K-students are real but it won't turn out well for teacher or students in the long run, in my opinion. It will take many years for TTBs to get to the bottom of this situation, but I am confident that in our lifetimes the truth or falsehood of what I claim will be exposed. Hopefully I'll be proven wrong. Yoda

Budala, Welcome to taobums! Your pal, Yoda

So I don't believe that Mak Tin Si is active here currently, so I will be the official lineage representative: I have requested many blessings from Mak Tin Si and am very happy with the results. If anyone is curious regarding FUs, it's probably best to request some $10 to $20 FUs just to make sure they completely deliver on their promises before investing $1,000 or anything. One example, a few months ago my stepbrother found that he had lesions on his bones so I requested a $90CAD blessing and the next time he got a scan the lesions were gone... the doctors couldn't believe their eyes and we all thought that the $90 was well spent! On the other hand, when my dad was sick I requested blessings from Mak Tin Si for my Dad's health plus lots of money was spent on conventional cures... yet he still died. Sometimes what's going to happen is going to happen. I hope 3rdeye's pal gets better soon! Yoda PS Dad's blessings were formatted in such a way that they would benefit him regardless of whether he lived on in this realm or not which is an important Taoist perk! I suspect that many, if not all, of Mak Tin Si's FUs are like that.

google this site for more info, but it is a great routine. I reversed the onset of grey hair in my mid 20s with it in about 6-12 months then discontinued. Then in my late 30s I tried it again for the same reason and it didn't work. Not currently using. Imo, it has a Russian, not Tibetan vibe.

I'd recommend contacting a Taoist teacher about setting one up. If you do it wrong, the incense and offerings can attract the wrong sort.

Great book selection! I just finished it and it was amazing!!! I'd say that anyone interested in Taoism, that this is a must read! The main part to focus on in the beginning, imo, is the interaction between the Monkey King and his Immortal teacher. Don't worry about skipping forward if it seems redundant. There is repetition and the important part is to get through the whole thing and enjoy it. I'll go through and pick my fav chapters at some point for folks who just want Monkey King's greatest hits. Hey y'all... I'm back from my vacation! TTBs almost never needs moderation but I'm sure it'll be nice to have a few members with delete powers for the occasional overly aggressive remark. I don't think it matters overly much who takes that on as long as they are halfway sane. Yoda
