cool variation!

Kick his butt I will.

sounds like it's time for Sean to dig out his running shoes!

Like RJ, he has a lot of chi but needs to meditate a bit to smooth it out.

Tibetan Buddhist Deity Energetics/visualization---wow!
Yoda replied to GrandTrinity's topic in General Discussion
the exact sound varies by culture. If you dig the practice, consider attending an empowerment ceremony from a lama for the deity in question. If you are *really* into a deity, get your paws on a Sadhana practice... sort of a chanting practice about the positive qualities of the deity in question. Maybe a shortened form and see if you like it. I think they must be free online, google "sadhana of Tara" etc. On another subject, if the Sadhana of Mahamudra is free online by Trungpa, it's a hoot. Trungpa borrowed the chanting style from a sect of Japanese Pureland Buddhism--it's very aggressive sounding. Lots of gnarly wrathful dieties are crawling all over that one! Maybe there's an audio download? It's the only gnarly Sadhana that's intended for the public. Trungpa channelled it while drunk in a cave in Bhutan. -
cool stuff! I'll check it out!

I just ordered Winn's sex dvd. It looks like sort of a sexual energy taichi thing. Is this a new program of his?

oh phew! No war of the wizards or anything! Plato, did you relo to Nevada? Prostate stimulation legal there I suppose.

Cam, We are the tao*bums*... of course we'd all crash in their loft, raid the frige and check out their squirt vids, etc. ~~ Just for the record, if anyone is passing through Columbia, SC feel free to stay the night here in Degoba. Also, Mrs Yoda and kids do take off for a month or so every year, so a retreat at my house would be a possibility. If anyone is going to a Winn class in Asheville... a stopover here would be a possibility. Last I heard, Mbanu lives in Columbia too. I've not hung out with him to date, but we might be able to scare up that hard to find wizard too. Down the road, I have ambitions to start something of a retreat center too. But my pad will do fine for the meantime--there's a picture of it in the gallery section somewhere. I'm just starting to trick it up... will pop some towerbusters at the corners, put up a picture of Yogani in my office, putting in bamboo floors, etc. -Yoda PS, just kidding about the photo of the unguru of course.

Vegas baby! Cheap flights. We could all meditate in the harmonic energy of the Luxor, etc. Just brainstorming. As Lozen said, I do find my way to Phoenix every so often, but it's a challenge to get me to travel at all these days. -yOda

thanks! I have intuflow, prasara, and flowfit but only do intuflow plus the clubs. And I think that's where I'll park myself on Scott's material.

Wanderer, Nice link. I'll see if I can get back in the swing of it. -Yoda

Christoph, Great news! Any reviews of be breathed or forward pressure? I'm still sort of dealing with fear reactivity from my 5lb clubbells, but have made great progress. I've been doing intuflow for about a year. I impressed the crowd at a recent wedding with my ability to shake a leg. It was a white wedding, but I'll take what I can get. -Yoda

this really stirs my patriotic juices... what a great country we live in!
-
according to Dr Judd, don't use liquid or clear bar soaps. I'm assuming it's due to the glycerin.
-
from what I've read, losing a fair amount of hair and then regrowing it thicker and darker is a common claim amongst rawists.
-
Hey... I'd like to have orgasms like that! Is there a product for guys? Then again, those bigguns are expensive. I've had big ones immediately after standing practice, but I got the sense that I was losing my practice chi and maybe even then some.

I attribute the 5 rites for getting rid of the onset of grey hair in my mid 20s. They are coming back, but I haven't been able to consistently incorporate them into my routine again to retry the experiment. So far at least. I have a great place to do yoga now, so maybe that'll change. Also, they are unlikely to be from Tibet but who cares. I've heard that they may be from the Ural (sp??) region of Russia. They do have a Russian feel to them, imo.

Universe doesn't care if we live or die? The universe cares very much that we die. The Grim Reaper's got a woody! -

Hagar the Viking King: Sure, the coffee maker breaks on the wrong day, Krishna runs off with another lover, etc but that's life no matter what your philosophy. The more love one feels, the more desireful one is. With some love, it's all about the coffee maker. With lots of love, it's all about Krishna. -Yoda -
some new thoughts have just crystalized for me... So I've been using salt, baking soda, and soap at various times in the last 6-12 months. First I used salt and then switched to soap/soda. I don't remember this happening during my salt use, but maybe the beginnings were there... Recently, whenever I eat something hard like granola, I find that I have to chew gently or my teeth sort of 'hurt' a bit. I don't think that this ever happened before now. I kept thinking that maybe I need to up my minerals in order to recalcify but then again when I was using toothpaste I didn't take minerals and this wasn't happening. I know that by not using toothpaste and by filtering my tap water, I don't get *any* flouride and it finally occured to me that this may be the reason my teeth feel a bit more delicate right now. Dr Judd's point in avoiding toothpaste is to avoid the glycerin that slimes the teeth so they can't recalcify. I don't think he has a problem with the flouride part. And my experience away from toothpaste has been favorable in terms of cleanliness from the soap and the whitening from the baking soda, so I want to keep that part up. But Mrs Yoda bought some flouride mouthrinse yesterday and that's what got me thinking. I think it would be a good idea for people like me who don't use toothpaste or drink tap water to use a rinse like this. Anyways, I'll experiment with it and report back.

For the folks at home: any opaque bar soap. ~~~ I haven't used toothpaste in quite awhile... I forget how long, but at least 6 months. There's a chance that a filling that had popped out (after I stopped using toothpaste) is healing by itself. But it could also be that it is smoothing out from wear... I don't know. I'm going to up my iron free multiminerals and see if I can really get them strong and pop the rest of the fillings out. -Yoda

1005= 100% I've heard that during my raw studies. I'm glad to hear a first hand report! Trunk, thanks for clarifying the yin tonic thing--it makes sense that it's not as noticeable as a standard herb. I did have a very nice dream last night. I'm less emotionally restricted in my dreams these days and I bet that it is connected to the fo ti.

It's the same way in sales... when you aren't afraid of a particular objection anymore, you'll never hear it again.
