hmmm, I like practicing in water.

Misc notes on clipping: play around with the tongue posture before snipping. If you pull the tongue back, there's a much better frenum presentation. I would have started lower on the frenum had I known this.

Cheerios is the only food that you can clearly taste in your urine. By the way. M- do you think Psyllium can help me lose 10-15lbs with no other diet change? I took the stuff before in order to deal with college chow and it worked fine. I was just a regular guy back then.

Durn, you and Sean are ahead of me. Wait for me before you go to stage two. That short story is fun... should go on Max's website as a warning to those about to complete the circuit. Inversion postures are good stuff! I should try to incorporate them at some point. -Yoda

cool! How does that Dr. Bronner (sp?) rate with you?

cool kechari link, also can google good stuff at "talabya kriya". Apparently, Yogananda practiced kechari mudra too much at a young age which made him a bit of a loose cannon (google talabya kriya for that tidbit, also some discussion on Yogananda eliminating kechari mudra from his teachings in the west). Yogananda says that kechari mudra is key for developing a halo. I think I'd look sexy with a halo... Fun to be digging around Yogananda's lineage as his book was formative for many of us. This link alludes to the idea of trying kechari while having sex will save your seed. AYP suggests that Kriya yoga, like taoism, has grown too reliant on pranayama practices like kechari and has strayed from the deeper practice of meditation. It looks like AYP draws heavily from Kriya yoga. The author says that he has drawn from all the Yoga traditions he could get his paws on. http://64.233.187.104/search?q=cache:let_J...l+kechari&hl=en

thanks for the headsup. The practice is hotly debated, and I'll get to the bottom of this debate in the next year or so.

Any opinions? I like doing the WW program more as it isn't a stretch per se, seems easier to do, and I can do it while standing which I dig. I noticed Sean seemed to recommend the 5 Tibetans recently over WW on the HT forum. My experience in the past with the 5 Tibetans has been extremely positive, but I haven't been able to get into it recently. Maybe I can do the WW plus spinning and call it good. -Yoda

I don't have cable, but Luke sounds very cool. I'll see if I can find any clips. I do think there are Chinese fighters who can simply electrocute their attackers with chi like the dude on the Bill Moyer's documentary, but I'd like to see one of them actually do it.

People are just drawn to doing shit. I read the chapter and I found myself taking action. I'm sure it's quite possible to be a kickass yogi/ini without it.

You might be a Taoist if... ...your mind is stuck in your lower caldron. ...there's a branch sticking out of your ass. ...you are too horny to meditate. ...you engage in risky behavior if a website suggests it. ...think you are ready for cage fighting by "doing internal stuff". ...if you get your ass kicked and swear you've won.

Thanks for the text reference... Here it is... Hatha Yoga Pradipika chapter 3 scroll down to Kechari Mudra. http://www.geocities.com/kriyadc/hatha_yog...a_chapter3.html Razors sound dangerous! tiny cuticle clippers or something like that would be safe. One tiny cut every 7 days and it only takes 6 months. I'm at 6 days and feel healed. 6 months is surprising, I thought it would take years. I'll report on it in 6 then. Thanks, Yoda

Yeah, the new generation Helix gave me some problems. For that reason, I prefer the model my grandpa used... the MGX. Give me that old time religion. I've been a bit gunshy of the project since recovering from my condition. I can tell that it has potential of being man's best friend.

May the force be with you.

You rock!!!! I looked around but had no luck. Thanks! -Yoda PS You in?

I have read Anna Karenena, so that should count for something.

So the sacrum bone is 'sacred' and the little holes are little immortality thingies but can anyone unpack that a bit for me? The tip of the tail is good for sending and receiving energy--the holes for distribution then, like a radiator? Relatedly, I came across this quote today: "Taking sexual energy upwards isn't sublimation of sexuality; taking it downward (i.e. lust) is sublimation of divinity." I thought to myself that sublimation and incorporation of divinity is what we are here for on this planet and that, in turn, is the sacrum's department. It's an arrow pointing down. It seems like its mission is to get energy down more than up. Maybe those little holes are physical immortality holes--that they anchor us to the planet??? -Yoda

Actually, if I were a neat freak, I'd get one with the stand. The contrast would be energizing. As it is, it would get lost in the shuffle even with the cool stand. Like the attitude, though. -Yoda

Early Roman church officials complained that followers would watch the sun as it rose instead of the minister during sunrise services. Presumably that's why they changed the time to 10 am to avoid superior competition. There certainly are lots of analogies between JC and Sunny, it's hard to read past that in terms of history, but personal experience seems to confirm some sort of connection.

Sean, Here's a cool thread on mixing and matching the two systems. I don't necessarily agree with it, but it's an excellent read: http://www.aypsite.org/forum/topic.asp?TOP...rchTerms=taoist -Yoda

Sean, I follow your logic, but there's just one catch... Operation Kechari can take years to accomplish. You don't want to be ready for it in 5 but have to wait another 5 because you ignored Yoda do you? Start snipping and stretching now and you'll have it when you are ready. Remember, this is better than sex. My plan is to lick my brain asap and blow my load if things get too hectic. Yogani's material is identical to Chia's if you count inner smile as the meditation aspect. Chia gets kudos for being the first to press, and Yogani gets kudos for being better organized, step by step and more clearly emphatic re: meditation. Yogani reads like a cookbook plus his material is free. I'm excited. Get started so I can have a brain licking sangha! -Yoda
