Guy-- Amazing story! You are off the chart! Do you listen to music? -Yoda

the drill where you twist your torso and slap the ltt and the mm with your hands is a nice little wake up, recharge, warmup exercise and a good one to do b4 meditation.

The development of my feelings is my primary goal in life. It's interesting that you say that awakening is independent from emotional healing. Perhaps that accounts for why awakened masters are sometimes a bit crazy. About bliss... most say that there is an abiding sense of bliss in every moment after an awakening experience... that's a strong feeling component, yes? Wouldn't that strongly sweeten and heal your emotions from that point on? -Yoda

I'm thinking of getting 2 of these love helmets for me and Mrs. Yoda, set them to the highest Super O setting the thing has and see what happens. Sounds fun! I've heard of some sort of copper helmets that you can wear that really can make things interesting too, but don't know any more than that. -Yoda

I paged through Frost's book on amazon and I ordered myself a copy--it looks absolutely amazing! Just imagine... a book on taoist practices that's sensible and easy to understand... what will they think of next????

It sounds like you take the NFL referee the-field-goal-is-good mudra and let one of your arms fall into the German WWII soldier salute mudra. (sorry for the unpleasant reference, but it's the best description) Grand Trinity can correct this description, but I'm pretty sure this is right. I just tried it this morning for the first time. Survived the 11 minutes, but had to do a few shake out breaks. Then did some WW type drills, then did 20 minutes of standing with my hands folded over the ltt, and it was a great session despite the fact that there was a helicopter hovering a hundred yards away. Even so, I was feeling very relaxed and blissful so I'll definitely experiment more. It should be fairly similar to the yoga mountain pose done with the hands up. -Yoda

Oh yeah, the change your fortune book. Just sit there. Improve your skin--just sit there. Good stuff. -Yoda If I remember correctly, the WFC had a lot of info re: destiny, karma, stars, iching, that it exists and is predictable but that it can be influenced and changed through sitting practice. It was too into destiny for my tastes and I enjoyed beautiful skin more.

I call it "Chinese Yoga" or just "yoga" people are up to speed with that and can then they can ask from there if they feel like it. The sex part is the subject that is the funnest. I have a co-worker who will ask me "what day are you on?" it's nice that he asks how my sperms are doing. He seems impressed by any double digit answer. Everyone wants to talk about sex even if they disagree with you. Just focus on getting a rise out of them and say that it's against your religion to ejaculate. I'll call my brother and ask him how often he ejaculates, etc. Oh, I see a grey hair--you shouldn't ejaculate anymore! Take the offensive in a funny way. People don't need my help in the slightest and I do my best to resonate with that aspect of their being. -Yoda

Good suggestion. Next time, I'll try to maintain a bit more calmness from the start. Things like your above suggestion, stillness practice, healing sounds, primordial, keysound/new-and-improved aneros. I'll try to key it down and be more romantic instead of infinitely insatiatiable with Mrs Yoda and see if I can cook up a better long term approach. -Yoda

I like your smiling practice!! Nicely put. I hadn't considered that articulation before. I'll kick it around. I've heard from Buddhist and Hindu sources that if you really allow yourself to feel desires 100% that they actually burn themselves out on their own accord fully uncovering the underlying passion, love, and enthusiasm. Your approach seems like a more easily accessible way to accomplish the same alchemy. I want it! -Yoda

I read it, but all of Bodri's stuff runs together. What's the theme of the book and I'll unpack it. Generally, I enjoyed Bodri's material.

I think Eric put together a masterful assembly of practices in his books, but I've never been inspired to actually follow the program, but I'll flip through his book again to see what I think right now.

Cam, Actually, I'll be in PHX during Thanksgiving, and I'd love to get together, but I don't tend to have much time as my family is fairly possessive of me on my rare visits so we'll play it by ear. -Yoda

Extreme jing tends to jump ships a bit. Just psychic-ly, of course. Maybe it was good for everyone on the board that I shot my wad. And you're right, that doesn't undo the fundamental fact that us taoists are a bit high strung. I really want to master the high jing horn dogger lifestyle but it's back to sungazing in the meantime.

Like your yiquando guy said, external manifestations are a feedback technique and I was surprised that I was having negative manifestations since I was doing the mantras 16 hours a day. I was a very hardcore Buddhist so it took me a long time to figure out that saying mantras 16 hours a day is actually bad karma if it isn't done happily.

I often rub my tummy for a few minutes while driving and I often throw my feet on a massage machine before going to bed to enhance my dreams. -Yoda

Ugggh... building and sticking with a practice routine
Yoda replied to sean's topic in General Discussion
Sean, I like how you gently, step-by-step start your day. Good idea with the beads. -Yoda -
It's a good story, regardless. The inner smile is the guts of any practice or philosophy that works. The universe runs on love, and the inner smile enables one to harness it.

for the record, I deliberately decided to blow my load. I know you all wanted to be kept up to date on this important matter... It was 120 days of retentions, about 5 gallons worth I'd reckon. I had started to get out of step with Mrs. Yoda around day 90 but it was only recently that I could admit that I was starting to have psychological issues with the practice--the inner scowl plus extra jing isn't a good combo and no aneros in sight, so I decided to halt the experiment. From past experience I know that it takes my system 2-3 days after unloading for my system to reset itself at a lower energy level and I look forward to it. Maybe I'll look at this like Pavel's periodization approach where you have to push yourself and then really back off before starting another cycle. I was very retention proud for awhile, though. I felt like a little Master Ron minus all the nasties, but the undertow was there. Didn't he say that 100-120 days there's a wall? Maybe that's what I ran into. We'll see how it goes, but like any periodizing schedule if the ramp up is 120 days, then the cycle off has to be 30-40 days per Consistent Winning, cult book of periodization on DD. I'll also use PCK in the future--that is an excellent suggestion. Fortunately, I don't believe that I have to hold my sperm to be immortal! Talk about performance pressure!! -Yoda

Ugggh... building and sticking with a practice routine
Yoda replied to sean's topic in General Discussion
I think ADD is a huge misdiagnosis--actually I think ADD is really Attention Surplus Syndrome, where the individual has too much ability to focus and concentrate on important matters and resists being distracted by stupid uninteresting crap that they teach in school. They are the real leaders, and the system does the best to coral their noble life force into knots of negativity. -
To my mind, there's the materialist, traditional religious, and new age view of death. The materialist doesn't care what happens to the body, so give away the organs as you see fit. The new agey perspective says that death is an easy and liberating reemergence back to our original state that there's no need for any special treatment of the body so go ahead and donate them if you'd like to. The traditional religious perspective requires that the rituals be carried out to the letter so that there's no screw up in a potentially dangerous transition point. So follow the rituals of your tradition if you have one. It would be interesting to hear what Winn would say about organ and blood donation. -Yoda

Looks great! I tend to shy away from original and scholastic type sources as they aren't fast paced enough for me. But I hope you get a copy and put up a report. It looks like it focuses on the universe that third eye vision siddhis reveal which needs dream practice as a prereq and that in turn needs sex practice as a prereq, so it's a bit out of my league for the time being. -Yoda

Plato didn't get into the details of the practices, but alluded that they were neither cutting edge nor effective. Sexual chikung is glitchy stuff. I like Cam's inner smile recommendation--a good rule of thumb for any practice or any aspect of life for that matter. -Yoda

yeah, if regular Os were good enough for daddy, they should be good enough for me. The hell of it is that retention practice (unless you are a huge fan of the million dollar point) deprives a body of the regular strength experience. Sometimes I wonder if my ancestors are smiling with me or at me, but as long as they are laughing and smiling, they'll do just fine. After Ron Diana transitioned, he told Winn that it's easier to smile when you have a body. I'm still pondering that one. -Yoda
