Yudelove says that one of the most powerful practices he's discovered is Darth Vader breathing. They do that in Power and Ashtanga Yoga. He brings it up in a sex practice context, but it's a practice that, like snoring, does stimulate the upper palate. I'm impressed so far, but still new to it. -Yoda

That's a great endorsement! I have WW on my to do list! I've heard it said that the more a person exercises, the better their sex life and that there are studies somehow to that effect. More believable than hurting a snowflake's feelings, I imagine. -Y

Prilosec works wonders, but she doesn't want to be on it if she doesn't have to. Her dad had a similar situation and he cured himself by taking some mixture of powdered kelp, wheat grass, and barley? rice? If changing her diet doesn't do the trick, she'll try it. -Yoda

I have my doubts about the water experiment. It sounds embarrassing to the rest of us new agers.

clapping is a good one. I've saw a Japanese skater clap at a Shinto shrine wishing for the olympic gold. I forget if she won or not.

Interesting that carbs come up. Mrs Yoda has had good luck with a low carb diet and is on it now. But then again, if it's causing problems maybe she needs to switch gears. Ron, you've switched from a low carb to a high carb diet when you stepped up your running... how have you liked it? When I lived in Jamaica, I ate brown rice, beans, with thyme on them as the staple and I enjoyed it. Cheap too. I've been doing fairly low carb myself, but all the running books advocate high carb. Also, all the stud runners are high carb. I can't deal with refined flour and sugar, but maybe we'll check out the more whole grain approach. -Yoda

Would you say the smile energy is more powerful in white than green tea?

Scientists are always the last ones to get the joke. Runs in the breed.

Green tea helps process chi cultivation practices. Ken Cohen in Way of Qigong says that tea dispels dampness, clears heat and promotes the function of the liver to spread and harmonize the qi. "This is an important benefit for qigong students... virtually all experts in qi control--acupuncturists, martial artists, calligraphers, qigong players drink tea regularly." Amen to that. I've heard that white tea was reserved for royalty as it is even more beneficial than green tea, and harder to collect. Anyone tried white tea? -Yoda Just googled white tea. So here's the deal, the darker the tea the more it's been refined and the more EGCG it has lost. So white tea tends to have the highest concentration of EGCG thus the strongest benefits. I know green tea shouldn't be brewed in near boiling temperatures, and I'd imagine that the same is true for white to avoid bitterness.

I found a great article: http://www.nytimes.com/2005/08/02/science/...gewanted=1&8dpc You have to register to see it but here's a summary: The average age of you body is 7-10 years old if you average out the age of each individual cell. The skin completely regenerates in 2 weeks, you get a new liver every 300-500 days, and you get new bones every 10 years, you get new gut organs every 13-15 years. That adds a new twist to 'zen bones' Your vibration gets mineralized every ten years. That makes it fun to think in terms of decades of practice. -Yoda

With Mrs Yoda and the kids out of town, I'm actually spending about 2 hours a day doing various sexual cultivation exercises plus 40 minutes running, 20 minutes standing, 15 minutes sungazing (on an ideal day) plus my new green tea hobby. So about 2.5-3 hours a day of practice when I'm alone... vs about 1.5-2 hrs when the fam is around on average. I've discovered sperm snarfing as a form of the big draw or cool draw practice. Inspired by recent soft palate posts, I've tried holding my nose, vacuum breathing, eyes looking up and the sperm rockets straight up to the brain. Don't let the sperm come out your nose. There's a good post on taobum.com about stimulating the soft palate. I'll have to try drawing the tongue back and up during the sperm snarf to see if that amplifies the effect. -Yoda
-
yes, the nuance is that by holding the nose, you get the soft palate and direct brain stimulation involved and I like to think that there may be a slight vacuum put on the brain to help suck the sperm aura upwards and it certainly helps the energy cross the bottom of the skull more easily. I suppose the whole thing can be done by breathing in through the nose so quickly that the nostrils automatically close and you get the same vacuum. That wouldn't look so odd so there wouldn't be as much to explain to your victim. I just compared the above methods and holding the nose forms a much more powerful vacuum. It'll make your ears grow, though.

I shall ponder this. Thanks for posting. -Y

Noni didn't do anything for me, but green tea is rockin my world. Caffeinated is better than non-caffeinated, but they are both good. -Y

I use strong suction, 2-3 breaths seems to be adequate.

hold your nose, vacuum breathe, eyes looking up and your sperm (if excited) will swim to your brain. Good luck.

Google is good stuff! Today Yoda learned about performing cunnilingus while sucking on a sugar-free mint, mentholated cough drop. Even the great immortals didn't have cough drops to work with!! They'll have to cultivate humility. Mrs. Yoda is out of town for a few weeks and I tend to be well-behaved... so if somebody could test drive this one and report back to Degoba, that would be appreciated. If that's not a top ten Taoist practice, what is? -Y

well... I can't touch my nose with my tongue but the Gene Simmons surgery is on my to do list. -Y

googled sperm production. Vitamin C alone can up sperm production 24% Zinc can do about that too. 66mg zinc and 5 mg folic acid a day can increase sperm production 74% in men with low sperm counts, but not a huge increase for normal sperm count gents. Did you know that one ejaculation blows 5mg of zinc? -Yoda

A recent Winn quote that I've really enjoyed.-Y The movement forms are either designed to open a channel without using head "visualizations" or to prevent stagnant jing which eventually happens from sitting too much. They are not designed to replace sitting medition, but to balance it. Its ultimately the balance between post natal and pre natal chi. I cannot tell you how many zen practitioners I have treated with qigong therapy for various types of stagnant chi resulting from fixed body positions leading to fixed energetic patterns and sometimes disease. The diseases have gone away when they began doing movement and foxusing on chi flow. The reality is in the physical plane, there is a tendency for any high energy frequency to drop to a lower orbit. That is why physical plane needs fire chi in the form of the sun and human heart fire to keep it going. That is also why Taoists switch positions from sitting, standing, moving, and lying. When you master all four you are cultivating 24/7. My favorite thing is to sit for six hours and go really deep. But it only happens because I've done plenty of movement. The jing level holds that memory even while sitting in meditation.

Turns out, Walmart carries it! Oral Sex Poll: From asking around, it seems that oral sex is something that most married couples "used to do" before they were married. Somewhere along the way, oral sex seems reserved for birthdays and special events. Perhaps this is why the quality and quantity of sex in general seems to suffer under the onslaught of marriage, kids, busy schedules, etc. That seems to be the account I'm hearing amongst my 30 something friends. I'm sure that's not at all the case on this forum, but I'm curious about people's perspectives. -Yoda

Now that winter is over, I'm getting back into cold showers. Very refreshing and a core component of Russian and Scandinavian chikung systems. -Yoda

According to my 30 min. google search, grean tea has more catechins and EGCG (said to be very good for you) than black tea (6:1 ratio) but the studies that look at both green and black tea seem to be pretty even-handed, so maybe the catechins and EGCGs morph into good stuff during the process of making green into black tea. I'm not a fan of the taste of green tea, but maybe I can aquire it. Here's a seriously nice overview of benefits: http://64.233.179.104/search?q=cache:-uN4N...ck%22+tea&hl=en Bone strength and a 24%(!) improvement in endurance exercise in mice are featured benefits. Also, the Japanese are noted for smoking a lot yet having a low incidence of lung cancer... perhaps tea is the secret weapon? Two Trees, do you have a website of your teas? My address is Kyle B@ird$en, 22 Cedar Field Ct, Columbia, SC 29212 if you have a catalogue, samples, etc. Thanks! -Y
