Yep, that is the Book of Secrets! No investment required! The best way to sample the goods is to find cool topics through the list of meditations. That boy has a lot of transcripts online here and there. I've had good luck googling Osho plus topic of choice. Sky meditation does look cool. Haven't heard of Chia's darkroom meditations. -Yoda

I just ordered 6 or 7 more titles. The boy has written a lot of books!! I ordered his commentary on Patanjali's Yoga sutras and his "meditation" book and autobiography of a politically incorrect guru. Maybe a sex one, there's a recent done that offers remedies for various physical and psychological issues. I forget the others, if any. From what he says about Mahavira, I'm not sure if Osho ever got into sungazing. I'd be curious on that point. I'm optimistic that darkness meditation will compliment SG. -Yoda

holding various positions with knees bent like in Lam Kam Chuen's standing drills, holding stages of pushup positions, pushing/pulling against a doorway. Bruce Lee was said to hold small weights a arms length for the whole day, etc. They are said to develop freakish energy levels and endurance.

I just discovered Peter's Blog in the blog section. Y'all got to check it out! Full of shattering orgasms, light, pearls. It's a fireworks show over there. Of the practices I've read about, only RJ has a more entertaining practice life. Impressive. Peter--wtf is core practice anyways? What color do you use? Are you using the spinal cord or the supporting bones? Not that I'll get shattered by incoming orgasms when I try it or anything, but it's worth a shot! It sounds like lots of moving energy. Are you doing empty core and it's moving by itself or are you moving the chi where/when inspired? Or are you doing empty core backstage and you are describing a different practice? Empty core sounds similar to hara-based zazen and very similar to White Skeleton Meditation where you hold a visualization of white light in the bones--with the benefits coming from not stirring the pot but from quieting the mind to let the chi flow where it needs to go per the Bodri perspective. Agreed? Any important differences? The other big question is that this kind of practice and level of success would require absolute retention mastery to my thinking. Do you have retention iced? This blog also highlights the practical benefits of learning how to channel. Peter, perhaps a tip or two for those of us who would like to get started on this front? -Yodster

my understanding is that the LTT is the best place of the body to store energy. The head and the root can generate, and absorb lots of chi but they suck in terms of storage. So sending it into the belly, and rubbing/patting chi into the bones is like depositing money you've earned into the bank instead of keeping it in plain sight of your girlfriend.

Here's a cool quote, paraphrased from p. 438: when you are climbing stairs and you feel tired and breathless simply do this: just exhale, do not inhale. Then you can climb up any number of steps and you will not be tired. By emphasizing the exhale, you are ready to let go and die, you are not afraid of death and that opens you up to energy b/c you are not afraid. -Yoda

So here's some Osho thoughts: Exercise till you drop! He got his students to exercise vigorously 1 hour, 3 times a day. You gotta drain your daily energy supply, then your backup emergency supply in order to learn how to tap into your cosmic supply. (very ninja, very jedi...) He said that this is hard to do on your own as you'll quit too soon, but in groups with the collective mind effect, it's much easier. Practices: Silently say the sound Ahhh with the exhale--it extends the exhalation and teaches non-possessiveness, makes peace with death, paying attention to the exhale and really exhale you will learn about death and find that it is your friend. Exhale deeply for 15 minutes a day, let the body handle the inhalation automatically. Life is the ripples on the lake, death is the lake itself, is peace, is the very source of life. Draw your life from the depths and you shall not fear death. It is those who do not live fully that fear death (very Frolov, Sonon, etc) Some systems center the mind on the hara, genitals, third eye, big toe, etc. The point is to have a center! It's good to use the sex center as a center of meditation. Your mind is naturally going there anyways, why not harness that? (hadn't considered that one) the peace of ejaculation is a false, deceiving peace. It is only on a physical level and cir cum vents real progress. (working on it!) From the root text: "in sexual union keep attentive on the fire in the beginning, and so continuing, avoid the embers in the end"... attain real bramacharya, don't blow your wad, and thus heal your confusion and learn to be energized and passionate. Energy has to be taken away from the physical eyes and allowed to move through the third eye... the whole eye/yang thing... examples of hunting in nature where the prey makes eye contact with the predator and is immobilized... Rasputin, and some psychics and hypnotists and fighters have this thing going on... they pump their energy to their eye center for dominance... sort of a black magic approach, the white magic is to forget about dominating others and to master your own self... evens out the chiflow to the rest of the system...learn to still and relax the eyes. (same death/wisdom/peace connection as with the breathing) Lots about feminine/masculine, life/death, light/dark, inhale/exhale. Why Mahavira and the Buddha couldn't help women attain enlightenment, etc. Lots of references to other teachers and systems of thought. Some references to Taoism. Nuf said. If you like the above get the book! 1134 pages of yummies! Aside from being brilliant, I've heard that Osho was nuts. Any thoughts? -Yoda

Bob, Just curious, what did Osho say re: afterlife?? -Yoda

a one minute self-message B4 and after meditation is killer. Especially the bottom of the feet, the head and jiggling the balls. The two best 30 second qigong is a quick rub down and/or chewing gum. -Y

THE BOOK OF SECRETS ROCKS MY WORLD!!! I've maxxed out on Chia, Winn and Bodri but hunger for more and I felt painted into a corner. It's like I found Merlin's spell book!! IOU-1 -Yoda

Cameron, You'll like this handy rule of thumb, it's your insight rephrased: How you feel about somebody else is essentially (net vibe) how they feel about you. It's always mutual. So your specific thoughts about Ron, coworkers, parents, customers, girlfriends, etc will be different in content and context from theirs, but will be the same exact net vibe. Feeling better about a coworker instantly makes them feel better towards you. -Yoda

I love learning the bones!
-
Great post as usual! Physical squeezing the whole perineum/anus/tailbone area or just the tailbone? Not done during cultivation, just after? Thanks! -Yoda
-
that torso x-ray is good to memorize. One thing I just noticed--while the lumbar area is directly in the center of the torso at the height of the hip bones, the supporting bones of the spinal column are only a third of the way inside the body at middle chest height as measured from skin to skin. And then located in the center again in the neck and top of the chest (aligned perfectly with the back edge of the jaw)
-
Sean, Thanks for posting. Do the perineum, sacrum, third eye, heart, and crown all have their own healing sound? I know the heart is haaawwww. Or maybe just the heeee for the triple burner would do the trick. -Yoda

Ron, Sungazing remains easy and powerful but I've been blowing much of the additional solar energy in cum production, so now I'm turning my attention to circulating and integrating the energy. You said it best: "IF YOU DONT CIRCULATE THE LIGHT YOULL ERUPT IN A GEYSER OF CUM." You're past tailbone squeezing, guiding the chi with your hands and eyes, etc but do you think these are useful for learning MCO initially? Or should I just dive in with simple mind guidance? Thanks! -Yoda
-
Sungazing hasn't bequeathed any shattering orgasms upon me, so I'm definitely all ears! Like Ron, you have above-average talents! Keep up the good vibrations! Yoda

Your question is THE issue out there. I've spent years practicing various systems. Even spent one year practicing 16hours a day. Didn't get enlightened, find satori, etc. On the whole, I'm very excited about what I've learned on an intellectual level about life. Great stuff! And I'm extremely grateful. Right now, I'm tinkering around to see if I can goose up my progress on an energy level. The issue is like trying to loose weight--every diet ever devised works and can point to any number of success stories, but the issue looks a lot tougher from the user's end! My experience of dieting was simply to find the right system for me and it clicked, fortunately. So I'm thinking that 'finding the right practice' may have some applicability for progress in energy cultivation. Just like with the dieting analogy, finding practices/systems that you really enjoy is key--you'll be more inspired and more consistent that way. Even with the best practices, this stuff takes time and (imo) we never get it done. -Yoda

don't breathe through your nose and use mouthwash immediately after---great tip.

awesome about the inner circle thing! I love Matt, but could never get into CC--I can't find my groove with it. Aside from the fact that I don't like actually doing it, I can see that CC is numero uno for all-around strength, conditioning, and flexibility. KBs have a natural swing momentum that keeps me going and hamster cardio is even easier--so that's where I gravitate. If I ever cleaned out my garage, I'd start deadlifting in a heartbeat. -Yoda

What's Later Heaven? Sounds pleasantly different from the theory of samsara. If desire and selfishness are virtues in this realm, sign me up! Otherwise, I'll keep shopping. Thanks, Yoda

It's largely vibrational, so the effect beats caffeine, fruit loops, etc in terms of speediness. But I have to meditate to feel it--it's not as strong as caffeine in that respect, but seems to be more refined and beneficial to meditation. If one is negative about the practice, it's certainly not a good idea to do it. It's the only thing I do that grosses out Mrs. Yoda, so it's important to me. -Yoda
-
I tried it at Ron's suggestion and it works. Any practice that's easy, takes no time to do, has a freak out factor, and gets results is good shit in my book. Take the PP Challenge: meditate for 5-10 minutes to see where you are at vibrationally, and then drink a half cup+ of PP and meditate another 10 minutes and check out the difference in your energy field. -Yoda

Like that Belgian guy in the last Austin Powers movie said... "it's got to be tight." Simple sitting or standing is the answer. The relaxing/allowing yin provides the space to naturally transform any yang going on. But it is only the rare individual who has enough energy aka desire to really make dramatic progress with quiet meditation. Lust is the secret ingredient here. Cultivating that would be different for everyone, but following your bliss would be the basic technique on that end. Methinks. -Yoda PS, tao1776--good to meet you, I was just thinking of the year 1776 today. I drove by a Lutheran Church outside of Columbia,SC that was established in 1776. Just wondering what life was like back then.

The sun has moved, and my new sunrise spot is too public for my huevos but that's a great idea to anal breathe as I sungaze. I'll check it out. -Yoda
