Karen, great info, thanks! Your pal, Yoda

keep in mind that if you drink bottled water, you still have to deal with your shower and tea! Personally, I'm not up for all the fancy filtering but I take kelp, vitamin c, and will experiment with melatonin too. The iodine will displace fluoride in the pineal and it's my theory that vitamin c assists the process. Winpro07 is the expert on all this. Overdoing iodine is a bad thing. Melatonin supplements are very effective at removing lead, mercury, and aluminum from the body so I'm guessing it might help with fluoride and seems to be reasonably safe at least for short term use. Of course, it's better to hack into one's own pineal through practice and detox through natural melatonin production which is vastly superior to pills.

SV, I bet she's offering a good thing and I bet that it doesn't mix well with your current practice. Just following my nose on that one. Sorry. There are some great articles on epigenetics on Discover Magazine's website. Even just eating garlic can unlock DNA codes so it sounds very likely that spiritual practice can unlock DNA too. Don't know about the strands thing, but for fun I'll put $1 on it. Your pal, Yoda

It seems to me that young kids are best at being happy and the ability seems to decline linearly with age. One chap said that of people who age and stay healthy, those tend to get happier with age starting after 50 (if I remember correctly) and that the 30s are the crappiest. Does the audio book get into this at all? Anyone have any opinions on the happiness level of pets vs wild animals? -
jn752, check out kunlunbliss.com, they are in AZ and CA regularly. tidalwave, Nothing to do with B.K. Frantzis. There's a 5 posture/element standing form he teaches but the main thing is Kunlun which is a spontaneous motion practice and Red Phoenix which is a breathing awareness practice/empowerment. Starjumper, I get obsessive thought patterns every few minutes, so no biggie. Love the photos, keep them coming! Your pal, Yoda

To organize anything, a recipe as old as time: have a pretty good notion that you'll be able to cover costs, put it on your credit card, and hope enough people show!

You might pm Vajrasattva about it. He says he his KAP approach has a good track record for dealing with this sort of thing.

I always ask well travelled people who the happiest people on the planet are. The answers I get are all over the map, but I'm always impressed by how high some very poor nations do in my little survey. Every country has their own espirit de corps independent of externals, but I wonder if the countries that have less economic freedom in the sense that it is quite easy for any American to make millions if they really apply themselves but much more challenging to do the same in Haiti... if that lack of possibility lends itself to greater inner peace at some level? I think the professor on the vid was measuring the degree of tension vs relaxation with relaxation as the source of happiness. -

It reminded me of Victor Frankl's book: "Man's Search for Meaning" about his time in a concentration camp. The prisoners who were able to survive in those conditions were the one's who were able to give the ordeal some sense of purpose and were in a minority. There, they didn't have the physical vitality to feed any animal rage so they just became lifeless zombies and died if they couldn't deal. -

Nice! I have no idea why, but Tenacious D's Kickapoo came to mind after reading your poem:

it's like in european football where you kicked it right between my legs!

welcome to taobums! If you repost your question in the main practice discussion area, you'll get more people to see it. Good luck!

Great question, don't know. Hopefully one of the local smartypants will jump in on this one. The nice thing with a 4 element system is that you can pop them into the four directions which is pretty cool.

second that! If anyone would like to share, Yoda is all ears.

More precious than gold... you just lost some cash!! Sucked. I'm currently following Winpro07's suggestion to play around with vitamin C and iodine to detox the pineal and Drew's suggestion to take more potassium. Potassium is pretty nasty, so I don't know if it's sustainable. My personal practice thread has a bit more on this if anyone is interested.
