Feels like you should take a pass on it. Maybe check out Shaking Medicine?

see if you can change shipping options. I went with the cheapest and it worked out fine. If you get turned off, that might be a sign.

I hadn't seen that trailer before, actually. Thanks for the link! That was fun!

I love these first aid threads! Windblown, I'm glad you liked the suggestions. Chris, black rocks aren't just good for anxiety... they help ground normal daily negativities/energy imbalances and are yummy for everyone. I carry a tektite around with me as a necklace and I have an obsidian egg, a hefty obsidian ball, and some black tourmaline. I've not tried onyx, but witch recommends it so I'd imagine it's good too. Maybe it's placebo, but I really feel connected to the center of the earth with it. Daoian, I'll look into serenadin. Your pal, Yoda

On a related note, I've read about the benefits of "trace sugars" for immune system functioning. Apparently they've come out with a nasal spray that's just one of these sugars. I forget how I googled onto this info, but they were saying that this is a good reason to eat lots of fruits especially blueberries and cranberries. The sugar in cranberries is supposed to make the bladder and urinary tract to slippery for yeast to become a problem per this paradigm. They didn't refer to these sugars as trace sugars, though.

Great thread! I agree with the feet thing... do whatever you can to feel your feet. Imo, standing practice can go either way... it is grounding on the one hand but can be too energizing for one with negativities coming up. If you are drawn to standing maybe experiment with palms facing the earth type postures. Another idea is to put your mind on the center of the earth while meditating with your bare feet against the dirt. Another idea... this is one of my favs... is to hold a black rock, the blacker the better like onyx or obsidian. It connects you to the center of the earth and grounds out negativity. Stack a few of these ideas like walking while holding a black rock and barefoot is groovy. Yoda

apepch7, Thanks for your thoughts!! Your pal, Yoda PS, does the 6th hour of the night correspond to one of our hours?

I don't have *any* expertise here, but for acute emotional imbalance I would first turn to balancing the 5 elements: spend more time outside preferably walking preferably barefoot, hug a beautiful tree for at least 15 minutes, spend time in/near water, play with the 5 healing sounds. I personally believe that cleaning one's environment and considering fengsui or vaastu might sometimes help too. If you sleep with your head pointing north, you might sleep a few nights upside down in your bed with your head pointing south and see if that helps. Also, try mineral supplementation especially magnesium. Natural Calm magnesium and other fizzy magnesium supplements are best and maybe try clays or colloidal mineral, etc. I bet after a week or two of tinkering around with this sort of thing, you can noticably reduce anxiety. Imo, if a particular practice brings it on, I'd discontinue or reduce that practice. If the above still doesn't help do consult with doc and ask them about LDN. If you have cash to play with you might also try egyptianhealingrods.com. Try to do something relaxing before going to bed like taking a shower or giving yourself a foot massage, etc. It's important for your system to get your endorphines up between 2-4am. Yoda

I know lots of people who swear by simple quiet sitting and others who have had bad experiences with the practice. Same goes for jogging, yoga, religion, etc. Just the law of attraction doing its thang.

Hundun, I really need to listen to those Keeney CDs! Congrats on your story and insights. I look forward to a Reiki in a nutshell post sometime! Your pal, Yoda

apepcha7, What do you think of the Graeco Egyptian Magical Papyri? I only just stumbled upon it. I've found the Shamanism in the Pyramid Texts to be quite helpful in giving me a feel for Egyptian spirituality. Your pal Yoda

Sean has vertical pupils but he said he's one of the nice space lizards, so we should be fine.

Jmo, but my grandpa was a freemason and it was strickly a fundraising, drinking, and anti-catholic club as far as he was concerned. It used to be the popes who accused masons of being evil. As a matter of fact, the story of the "Palladian Order" (the first time "satanism" was penned) was brewed into hysteria levels of anti masonry zeal until the reporter came out public and said the whole anti-masonry story was hatched just to show how easy it was to get the Catholics whipped up to inquisition gear even during the eve of the 20th century. That embarrassment pretty much shut the Catholic Church up about masonry but the evangelicals have picked up the torch since. There is yuckiness at the top of the masons much like any other organization whether religious, governmental, or financial and the organizations attacking the masons throughout history, then and now, are no better. Mudslinging just pulls everyone into the soup. And if the space lizards bothered to infiltrate grandpa's club with all the silly handshakes and alcoholics and not the major militaries and governments of the world they need to get their slimey heads checked!! Personally, I believe the lizards have infiltrated all organizations in a fair and balanced manner as one might imagine sensible space alien bad guys would do... they too must follow the Tao in all things. I just let others deal with them.

So Randi and I did it a few minutes after. While I don't quite grok the full moon version, I really love the new moon version of the practice. (where you write down what you want immediately after the moment of the new moon)

He doesn't give his identity so he has no crazy past to dig up... That's a bit of an unfair advantage imo! I suspect a TM or SRF background. He's very disciplined in what he says and how he says it... so no negatives are really possible. To the best of my knowledge, *nobody* has unpacked the mainstream Hindu Yoga tradition like he has. Even if Hindu yoga isn't one's bag, it's still a great read.

you can practice for as long as you'd like. You can sit cross legged but keep your hips above your knees. I forget if this is in the current book, but after 5 minutes of holding the posture if no motion occurs on its own then intentionally gently rock the torso side to side. It's like rocking a rocking chair. The fur or wool blanket is a plus but doesn't seem to be mandatory. Haven't tried the 100 days.
