I'm good pals with both Janimal and BeingBliss and they've both seen Dr. Sha in person and have had very different experiences. I just got off the phone with BeingBliss and heard about his truly stellar experiences with Dr. Sha and with that, I'm a believer that the guy is a good egg. I don't have a problem with a teacher charging for a healing, but I don't want to discount Jan's experiences in the slightest. A good friend of mine met Max and was pretty put off by him, for instance. Just part of the business. -Yoda

Oh it's you!! Being Bliss and I go back a long ways! In this lifetime, we met at a Tibetan Buddhist retreat center on a month long retreat, breaking into the kitchen looking to whip up some better food!! Since then, we've always been on at least somewhat related paths and he's the one who got me into channeling, sungazing, Swami Kaleshwar, Dr. Sha, and Vaastu.

So we have the K-word and now it looks like we have the L-word!

KAP Kundalini Awakening Process Dr. Glenn Morris

Slick shooting, Vajrasattva! What a fun thread!!! Yoda -
I did that little paddlewheel move for a few months and it totally rocks. Based on Drew's experiences, it sounds like a very rewarding path... I would have stuck with it had I known. McDonald's should pass out dvds with their Happy Meals and make Os at a D part of their ad campaign...

Ah!! The next craze!! Give me the youtube vid and let's get to it!

Thanks all!! I noticed that they moved me to one candle per decade, but that's better than Logan's Run.

Dude, you got your shroom vision on just like in the movie!!!! Great work!!

You get what you pay for! Welcome to taobums!

Hagar, Thanks for the thread idea... it is good to remember the old Healing Tao forum days. My primary thoughts back then was that we were in Winn's territory on his dime and yet our interests were most of the time outside his system, so it seemed right to move out into a non affiliated site. (A huge thanks to our fearless webmaster, Sean, for striking while the iron was hot, setting up the site, and ruling with an iron fist and a golden heart. A true philosopher king.) Here's the taobum cybercultivation kingdom: Standing practice Winn's system Chia system & sexual practices Bill Bodri's system/Buddhism/Vipassana Retention/Tao of RJ Jack Johnson's Key Sound Herbs/Vitamins Aneros Scott Sonnon/Matt Furey/Pavel Primordial Chikung AYP Adyashanti, Tolle, and the youtube non-dualists Raw Food/Fasting/Juicing Colon Cleansing/Clay Witch's Orgasmic Diet/Fish oil ideagasms/squirting/Reichian orgasms massage/EFT David Shen/Foundation training the K word full lotus sitting/Spring Forest Qigong CCOs and O at a Ds Please remind me who I'm missing. Pondering that group makes me thank my lucky stars that I'm born in such a fortunate time to be able to gain exposure to such great teachers and the bums who very candidly post their reviews and experiences. Fun topics like fengsui, astrology, hands on healing, prayer are areas that have been under discussed in my opinion. But then again, don't really mix well with this medium perhaps. Of course most of the above trends have been covered up by the sands of time to be occasionally googled up by teenagers of the future... Nice little treat for them. Especially the RJ stuff.. I've also felt a fresh wave of appreciation for Trunk's alchemicaltaoism.com. Keith has done an amazing job seeing past the superficialities of the debates of the moment and synthesizing the best insights devised here at taobums into one convenient place. Really fantastic job and an amazing resource!!! ~~~ Just speaking for myself, I've grown tremendously intellectually and in certain dimensions as a practitioner (my Reiki is a *lot* better these days, for instance), but there is an emotional/bhakti nut that I've been trying to crack for a long time that I've only made modest progress with over the years. I do think that my current interest in "spontaneous motion trance induction practices" may well address this aspect of my quest. I'll give it the dreaded 'one year test drive' and see how it does!! ~~~ It's funny that members who have joined up during different eras in this community's development have a different feel to them in my mind. I'm second generation Healing Tao forum, so I missed the dragon wars of legend but at least know most of the characters, and then there was RJ era taobums, and then we trickled through the different phases and fads which often had new members coming in through the specific discussions. ~~~ I sometimes wonder if Father Paul keeps track of us... Incidentally, I recently saw a short movie called "A Witch in the Winter" (something like that) about a witch who teaches a family how to make happy pancakes to make people happy. I wonder if that was the source of his happy pancakes? I'm almost sure it is. The movie was made after a kid's book from the 60s I think. -Yoda

Can't leave well enough alone.... Cam had shown me a photo of some ancient dude with hands in the Kunlun position wearing a helmet and I'm wondering what's up with the helmet? Magnets? Is this within do it yourself realm? Are they for sale?
-
I liked the 'hey' cartoon! It looks like that Shakti helmet was held together by duct tape!! Love it!! The photo of the converted motorcycle helmet was the image I had from somewhere. Looks like it's best to just stick with the brain entrainment CDs for the moment.

Jan, Thanks for the review!! It'd be interesting to hear if any distinctive personality traits came into view in the recent nations you've seen. Your pal, Yoda

Hundun, So what's the other forum like this one? I have a hard time fitting into one forum myself, so I'm always open to visiting others. (Overabundance of posting chi.) Yoda

I forgot about the aneros thing... I *really* hope that I threw mine away and it doesn't get dredged up in front of my someday teenage kids... like the scene out of Deliverance where the hand rises slowly from the river... I'll claim innocence... it never worked for me anyways and gave me hemorrhoids for my troubles. (I did get on customer service for that, of course. Hopefully, it wasn't a taped session for training purposes!! ) I wish I could have made a trend out of poo ropes... you all missed out on that one. Your loss, that's all I'll say. ~~~ Re: Kunlun, our fearless webmaster is always right. And if not, tough shit. The Tao aint no fucking democracy, okay??? (just a bit of humor there... not representative of any strong opinions on my part.)

the separate forum will bring balance to the force! Yoda knows these things.

When this thread gets a few more opinions on it, someone can pm it to Sean and see what he does. A taobum Kunlun Closet would be amusing in itself. I'm expecting that the Kunlun forum will drain off taobum discussion by at least 50% but there's no telling when that'll be officially activated, but it could be any time as it's ready to go. Sean is helping out with that too, so he might have an idea of that timeline.

Welcome to taobums!!! If you ever want to post a review on the tantric mongoose workshop, I'm all ears! Yoda

welcome to taobums!

How come so many people in this forum are in to Kunlun?
Yoda replied to Teddy's topic in General Discussion
Teddy, Welcome to taobums!! Kunlun is a great practice that's easy to learn even from a book, so that accounts for its popularity despite some of the outrageousness of the website. (If you google thetaobums.com for Kunlun and look at the early posts, they debate the hands of light and Max's eye color, etc... nothing was ever settled, except that that gamma radiation is what created the Incredible Hulk. ) Some taobums may have been turned off by the prevalence of Kunlun posts and have left the forum but I'd like to think that it's fairly easy to ignore Kunlun based discussions if it's not of interest to you. Also, they will fire up a Kunlun discussion forum at some point so that should help also. Your pal, Yoda
