I had once devised a plan to steal a ritual object from a rival school, but chickened out on execution. I don't think I was ever 100% serious about it.

I would love to know their soundtrack too.

welcome to taobums!

Yesterday a hawk flew off with a squirrel here on Degoba... Whatever one's call is about this sort of thing, one thing that I sincerely believe is that there isn't *nearly* as much negativity in the world as we are told by the TV. Even with all that predation in the animal world, they don't sit around stressing about things and have fun for the vast majority of the time. Even the chase itself is pretty invigorating and the squirrel really shakes his ass in the predator's face when he gets away. But they don't really show this side of the emotional equation on the nature shows do they? We are led to believe that an animal's life is full of ominous soundtracks and lots of stress and worry. I think that they can still feel the spiritual dimensions and appreciate that this life is just a part of the equation. Your pal, Yoda

Ah, much better! I did manage to high five the Dalai Lama once, but that was before the days of high security. Last time I saw him, I had to go through a 45 minute security screening process and there was no opening to swing in and grope the guy.

Jazz, Great to meet you!! Sorry about the Scorpion Hands thing... but I guess it all worked out for the best. I'm glad you joined us for the bonus classes! Your pal, Yoda PS... your avatar is like mine... a bit too clean cut! Btw, who's that guy next to you?

The woman who came from Japan for the workshop. I forget her name, but she said that she'd recruit us some Japanese taobums!!! I hope it happens. It doesn't seem like we have many members from that neck of the woods. I'm glad she had fun and was able to hang out with us.

I've heard it said that Kunlun isn't an energy practice, but is rather a ling or spirit based practice. In any case, it does seem to be a different kind of practice.
-
Seekeroftruth, I'm glad I met you and you were able to make it for the weekend! I really didn't get the Kunlun sparked up much at my first workshop, but after a week or so of at home practice, I got it rolling fine. Like the book says, just hold the position for a bit and then start moving rhythmically a bit to help get the ball rolling. It's a great study break, btw. Your pal, Yoda

There's a nice two part review by Scott (aka Scotty taobum name) from the workshop on the AYP forum: http://www.aypsite.org/forum/topic.asp?TOP...amp;whichpage=4

Mentalground, I'm sorry I didn't read this before I attended, I missed meeting you! But it was very fun. Cam is here right now hanging out in Degoba. When I have some time to digest and post, I'll type up my report! Yoda

Way cool, thanks for posting!!!!

They'll let you pay $150 for Sat only at the door. Just tell them Yoda sent you and they'll hook you up!

Standard massage plus a bit of self-taught Reiki thrown in and the 'beating the heavenly drum' tapping on the head to wrap it up is my usual modus operandi. JoeBlast will bring his bongers to NJ so we can check them out. I'm thinking that might be a good tip for them.
-
If anyone owns any bongers or any other cool toys, bring em so we can check them out.
-
Y- From my one workshop I went to, you don't need to bring anything. I would recommend pencil and paper and I think you are supposed to eat at least a snack before each class. Y

Welcome to taobums! You can PM Trunk directly or post a question on the main discussion area for a better chance at a reply.

Scotty, I ran it past Cam, and he's cool with adding you to our hotel room. We aren't charging Jan as an enticement to get him to fly out from Germany, but if you, Cam and I could split the two nights three ways, that would be great! Your pal, Yoda

I'm glad you liked it!
