Sure Sean downplays it, but those were the days... We would send out our dragons and duke it out in the astral realm... with lots of capital letters, servers crashing, tempers flaring... but we all fought for a better world and our fearless warlord, Sean, finally brokering a new age of cyberpeace. Long live Sean!

The whole gamma radiation thing reminds me a bit of the rope to heaven of the Bushmen that I've been reading about in Shaking Medicine and of the Mu cord in Tibetan mythology that connects us to heaven.

House of Eliot The sheltered Eliott sisters, Beatrice and Evangeline (Stella Gonnett, Louise Lombard), suddenly find themselves alone and penniless when their dodgy father dies. In response, Bea and Evie launch an ambitious dressmaking business in the heart of 1920s London. The BBC's lavishly costumed Jazz Age drama follows the plucky pair as they navigate the city's swirling social scene. Aden Gillet co-stars as charming photographer Jack Maddox. Northern Exposure

Haven't the foggiest, but I like to think that we are all transmitting and receiving energy with others all the time and a master is able to do that in a more conscious, focused manner. My guess is that the underlying mechanism is the same, like yawns or moods getting passed around.

Jan, I'm just running on my interpretations of Chris's quickly worded remarks, but I think simple standing, breathing stuff is fine. Asprin, I'd say go with it as long as it's comfortable and maybe request to go more slowly at first. Yoda

Just say no to heavy metal cultivation! Keep it gentle and fluid.

Stillness type meditation is fine at any time. Mantras are fine to do at a separate time of day. Standing type drills are fine to do before Kunlun. Tai chi type drills are fine to do (I'd put it before Kunlun) Energy circulating practices/kundalini practices might not mix well with Kunlun, best not to. That's what I've been able to glean so far.

Welcome to taobums!

One might be a bit spacey after a workshop, but driving shouldn't be an issue for most. Just stay out of Chinatown.

I've just been to one workshop and the lecture was totally awesome but totally optional. Cam says that it's always about a completely different topic. I would say that the lecture would be along the lines of the videos up on the kunlunbliss site and the radio interview link: some intro material and overview and then Max goes deeply into one topic or another but no actual teaching of Kunlun, Red Phoenix, or other specific practices. If you are tight on time, then don't sweat it if you miss it. The vibe is different too. Also, if you can only attend a Saturday or a Sunday class, you can still get the idea. But go to both of those days if at all possible as you'll be able to absorb a lot more. nb: Kunlun and driving don't mix, so you Europeans won't miss out on anything in that front either.

You must have been on what Drew was on... nice!

the first one is a bit creepy, but the David Adair one is a classic good story.

I've got a reunion I'm going to soon and want to bring some dance tracks. Any suggestions for sites or groovy dance songs? Playlists?

Rock on Kate! Thanks! -
How does musicovery work? Can you download from it?

Thanks for nibbling on the bait at least!

Oh, sorry about that. Hopefully we'll get a writeup on it. Michael, if it's any consolation it sounds vaguely Kunlun like to me.

Greenchild, Sounds like some good options in front of you. On the issue of doing the aggressive surgery or not, the feeling that arose in me while reading your post is to jump on it. Western medicine is like using a chainsaw to take care of subtle problems, but we are a crazy tribe so it fits nicely. If you do go that route, don't get caught up in their death avoidance trip. You'd have to do some death contemplation drills or on the opposite side of the spectrum read all those party on near death experiences books, etc. I think there are a number of great suggestions in this thread, but we are just the peanut gallery compared to what your heart tells you. Just go with that and it always works out beautifully. Your pal, Kyle
