Welcome to taobums!

/Henrik, I'm glad you like it. No need to do it every day or for any particular set period of time. Can be done be done with eyes open or closed but if you do Kunlun while watching TV I recommend you keep your eyes open. No Kunlun while driving! Your pal, Yoda

Plato, I'm stoked you are going!! You'll have a blast!! Be sure to videotape it! Michael, where have you been? It's that Tantric Mongoose dude! You are right there, you should go!

And the stories Max tells keep us entertained. "The girl in the cave" kept our great taobum minds at work for several hours! The Phoenix 1 workshop had I think 6 taobums. NJ sounds like it'll be even more and we don't have to split up looking for flying saucers this time, so it should be a fine time!

Seriously though, just knock persistently and loudly and we'll get up and at least fake it. If we really don't feel like it, we'll just give out the wrong room number. Seriously though, really, I mean it. Come over and at least we'll let you in. We'll look like we are sleeping, but really it's a very deep state of Red Phoenix going on. Seriously though, really, I really will practice and be in good spirits about it if anyone actually knocks sharply at the door.

(Well actually it's just a practice session... I have been known to hyperbole things up a bit on occasion. More than likely we'll all be in bed by 9 and sleep through the 3am appointment. That's the harsh reality of a Max weekend: the pineal gland swells to the size of a basketball and waking up in the middle of the night to practice more becomes a low priority.)

thanks for the note!

Jan, Awesome news!! I'm at kyleb@irdsen at gmail dot com just turn the @ to an a and 8O3-622-O6O6 is my cell. I have a good cell plan, but my roaming charges suck, so I tend not to be chatty on the road. Let me know what your email and cell are so we can stay in touch. Yoda

Jan, Your space is definitely reserved! That would be too fun to have you there!! Your pal, Yoda PS, assuming Cam okays it, the hotel will let us have yet one more in the room so just let us know if anyone else would like to stay at Club Kunlun!

I just discovered a way cool BBC remake of Mork and Mindy called "My Hero". Very fun. I don't remember watching Mork and Mindy, so I don't remember if it was a good program, but the premise is a good one. My Hero is more of a superman character, who's only allowed to have sex once a month or he'll lose his super powers like his cousin did who would run into burning buildings with a credit card machine and charge for his services. Once the galactic council caught word of it, it was over for him, but he stays on as the hero's advisor. Very cute.

You can post on anyone's thread in the private practice area. If you want your own private practice forum, you have to pm Sean Omlor. Taobums is like Fantasy Island: we are all here for different reasons. But I'm Tattoo. That is the one certain thing around here.

Kate, It never stopped me, you'll fit right in! Your pal, Yoda

So Cam and I are throwing a 3am Kunlun party at our room and everyone is invited!! It's a "bring your own body" if you have one. If not, don't sweat it just be there!

help w/understanding emotional connection with death?
Yoda replied to jeffclist's topic in General Discussion
And some who meditate in cremation grounds for a long time start to feel a bit peckish... (see Aghora or aghori on youtube, episode 2 or 3 I think) Back to the subject at hand... I'm dying of curiosity, myself. I think of it like the board game "Clue" where you make your prediction... Col. Mustard in the Conservatory with the candlestick and then you open the envelope and you get to see how you did. Very exciting stuff! I think that everyone, even if they are technically right ("See, I told you... it's all about harps and clouds, pay up!!") will still be surprised what that actually entails as there is a huge phase shift that is extremely difficult to relate with while in the physical form. durkhrod chogori, Thanks for that wiki link, that was great!! Your pal, Yoda

For me, working out seems to have el nada to do with weight loss. I consider the two goals to be completely separate. For weight loss, I'm having some encouraging initial success with fasting Mondays and Thursdays. For working out do whatever you love the most as you'll work it the hardest. I don't know if there are subtle energy issues with lifting heavy, but keep in mind that compression breathing may have subtle energy issues and that breathing with the mouth during the workout may as well. I know in India, it is frowned on to work out while breathing in with the mouth, that you lose the subtle energy benefits. I do know that stretching and mobility drills have lots of subtle body benefits. Play around with it and let us know what works. It might even turn out that compression breathing and/or lifting heavy is just what the doctor ordered to balance out your particular combination of practice and constitution. If you lift heavy, do check out dragondoor.com.

I don't think that there are safe ways.
