I was just reading Daniel Reid going on about colonics... I'm always intrigued but have never crossed the line. Is there an easier way? Is Colonblow the answer? colonblow.com

There's a new in treatment for mystery diseases like allergies, autoimmune issues, misc aches and pains: neurotoxins or biotoxins. Check out biotoxin.info. My interpretation: Neurotoxins, if present in the body, can be extracted through drinking psyllium powder, activated charcoal powder or chlorestyramine powder likely in that order of efficacy and the latter needs a prescription. Whatever is able to pull cholesterol out of the body seems to use the same extraction process to pull out neurotoxins, especially fat soluable ones. Psyllium seems to be able to lower bad chloresterol 8%, and charcoal and chlorestyramine 20+%. I did see studys saying that psyllium and charcoal each are able to extend the lifespan of rats just like fasting can. Couldn't find any studies about clay reducing chloresterol or increasing longevity but I suspect that there might be a similar effect found. Yoda

Great thread Mikey, er, Michael!!! I'd be on that plane to China myself... everyone on the planet is going there. It's the new America. The 4 hour workweek is an ok book on this topic... might be worth flipping through in the bookstore. So is What Color is My Parachute. Our webmaster, Sean, read some law of attraction stuff and moved to Costa Rica and we never heard from him again. Good suggestion about the AYP site... it's free and just a few minutes a day is all that is required. It's definitely all mindset/karma/law of attraction/vibration and how to raise one's vibration in particular departments of life is the big question. My teacher recommends being nicer to one's parents, eating hot non-microwaved food, not using a black wallet, and doing good deeds are easy ways to improve one's income. Your pal, Yoda

I happened to be on wiki and stumbled ahead of the story a bit... sort of a mixed bag to do that. But I did find out that, in real life, Master Sleeping Dragon invented the semi-automatic crossbow, landmines, and steamed buns. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zhuge_Liang

Here's what I'd suggest for anyone J2W curious but doesn't want to commit a lot of time: Read chapters 9-11: they cover the Imperial examination system, spouse selection, a Moses baby story, a buddhist monk's veangance, a riverside funeral, Chinese hermit poetry slam, divination, the fate of a weather dragon king, Imperial justice, origin of the Door Gods, hauntings and a death, the underworld/hell, the hell justice system, family relationships in the underworld, hell realms, paying the underworld back, hell dollars, pumpkins, the story of a "walk in" soul. Those chapters are loaded! Then skip to chapter 24. By this time the Monkey King has promised to work off evil karma and do his best to be good but just can't resist eating the enticing man-fruit when he visits the Immortal's garden... 54 Womanland... 37 An emperor's ghost visits the priest and the priest grants vengeance. 47 Monkey rescues village from child eating demon 68 Monkey treats a sick emperor... cool chapter on Chinese medicine 87 Monkey brings the rain... great chapter on weather magic There are several others that were huge favorites of mine... all the emperors gone evil stories rocked out but I forget which chapter numbers those are. The above chapters should give the reader a good sense of the book and be very fun reading.

So the battle goes well... Liu Bie and the Sun Quan both won while Master Sleeping Dragon cooly slips away from frienemy Sun Quan's third attempt on his life.... they were to kill him the moment he procured the southern wind necessary for victory... Master Sleeping Dragon orders Lord Guan to kill Cao Cao knowing full well that he will let Cao Cao go and offer his head in return. He said he was able to see in the stars that Cao Cao's time had not yet come and wanted Lord Guan to have an opportunity to do Cao Cao a favor. Lord Guan's life is spared, of course. Later the South sets a trap for Liu Bie and falsely offers the Sun Quan's sister as a bride fro Liu Bie in order to capture him. Master Sleeping Dragon suggests that Liu Bie accepts the false offer as if it were true and it turns out that Sun Quan's Mom likes Liu Bie and accepts him as a son-in-law and tells her son to butt out with his evil schemes... And then Master Sleeping Dragon cleverly engineers Liu Bie and his wife's escape.

researchers have found that the dolphins have sounds that are names for each dolphin and that they will use a dolphin's name in conversations where the named dolphin is out of range, which implies language and even gossiping.

Singapore Guy, That is just traditional Taoist theory... the actions of the emperor effect the citizens on tangible and on vibrational levels and vastly more so does the action of the father or mother effect parents, spouse, children, ancestors, and descendants possibly for generations. So the Taoist sects who believe that mediumship is draining believe that it's not just the individual who suffers the draining process. And all this happens on a deeper level than standard chi energy. The theory is that ancestral energy is what is primarily drained. Per the theory, entity side effects that are experienced in terms of weird dreams, lower energy levels, and lower luck levels are just the tip of the iceberg... interest payments only, but they are the ones that are the most obvious to us. The defenses against this sort of thing is like in the movies, don't play with the ouija board in front of the tv at 3am while on drugs... common sense stuff. There have been some good pointers on this thread. I would add early to bed/early to rise, avoiding pornography/occult/new age websites including this one, strict serial monogamy and strong morals, and no smoking. I hate it that I'm on the buzzkill side of the equation these days, but there you have it. Your pal, Yoda

Nac, In religious Taoism evil is a "good beings doing bad things" like the Monkey King going crazy in the Journey to the West. And religious Taoists are in the don't-kill-even-a-mosquito camp. Your pal, Yoda

While I have never won a Smile/Yoda debate, I think that the whole reason people get into the entity groove is easy access to love, bliss, how to escape Tibet instructions, how to learn Spanish in 5 seconds, how to heal cancer, and cool stuff like that. Otherwise, only a small handful of angry teens would be into it and it wouldn't be of any interest to us.

Vortex, That seems to be a theme! I don't know how the story of the 3 Kingdoms goes, but this taoist master seems to be 10 steps ahead of the game and is fully aware that everyone is freaked out about his abilities... hopefully he'll sort things out so the good guys can come out on top! He's the one who borrowed 100,000 arrows from the enemy and seems not to even own a sword. Your pal, Yoda

Now that a taoist master has entered the story, it has gone from interesting to way cool!!!! Very inspiring to see the master in action in the middle of a huge civil war. Cao Cao has 1 to 1.5 million soldiers and the south has a fraction of that number plus one taoist... Cao Cao should quit while he's still ahead! The funny thing is that Master Sleeping Dragon is fighting for the South but even they want him dead as they are terrified of his abilities. The South has tried to kill him twice and it's not clear whether they have given up on the project or figure that they need to keep him alive while Cao Cao looms and then attempt to deal with him later. SereneBlue, The wiki is the single best resource that I have found: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dorje_Shugden_controversy You can google around beyond that. Some say that it was D.S. who provided the Dalai Lama with the escape plan revealing an unguarded pass. Your pal, Yoda

Apepch7, thanks for the book suggestion! I hadn't thought of the whole thing in terms of familiars. I skimmed it on google books and while it is trying to give the whole thing a positive spin the author shares enough case history to cast doubt on the healthiness of these relationships: The lies, deceptions, dirtied auras, troubled sleep/nightmares, subconscious compulsive suggestions, obsessions, madness, possession, losing items, stigmata, injury to self and others, etc. Her mention that the lies are often very inconsistent and childlike is a good point. Her mention that weak morals and drug use open one to entity attack is also a good point. The story of Hieronyma eating a mysterious loaf of bread from her baker and then dealing with an aggressive lover entity for three years was instructive... the baker likely had a crush on her inspired, in turn, by an entity possessing him and baking the bread per channeled instructions. Or maybe the baker had an embodied occult master... in either case it operates like a ponzi scheme with all upstream parties getting a percentage. The entity tried to be romantic and sweet at first but also resorted to threatening the life of her young daughter periodically which illustrates the point that they may seem nice at first but not so much later on. The entity was completely unresponsive to Christian remedies which is consistent with my experience. I liked her discussion of ectoplasm and kinky seances. The author talks about settling in with one entity who protects one from the bad ones and/or using protective rituals or symbols for defense... I look at this as paying the school bully protection money. The author's own story of her entity giving her horrible nightmares until asking the entity to stop... Is this a tale of a nice entity?? To my manner of thinking, the entity was ransacking the author's ancestral energy at such a rate as was uncomfortable for the author which threatened the longevity of the relationship, so the entity agreed to turn down the pain (and, I would guess, up the author's orgasmic pleasures) in order to continue the relationship... draining of the author's power which will make gaining reincarnation for the author a difficult feat... probably too late for her to gain reincarnation for a very, very long time if at all and will make it harder for family members as well. The author doesn't seem to address the gradual loss of luck in one or more departments of life due to entity influence. One popular solution to this problem is to go deeper into the occult and start attacking and draining others' energies like the baker did to make up for the lack. This ponzi approach collapses even for the most powerful occultist. Best not to buy the ouija board in the first place! Yoda

Welcome to taobums, ArcaneIntellect & thanks for the input! I just want everyone who likes this topic to know that the field of occult romance is a happening one right now and can use more talent! On that subject, 'the search for Om Seti' is a fun book... this turn of the century British girl is born with a huge interest in Egyptology and has an entity love experience with a pharaoh as a teenager. When she goes to Egypt, her pharaoh lover actually becomes embodied at night to the point that even others can see him. He says that she was a lover who had been taken away from him in his life as pharaoh and he had been looking for her for hundreds of years since. He says he uses her energy to become embodied and taught her how to worship the gods, magic, egyptology, etc. She said she could see other ghosts in addition to the Pharaoh. If I remember correctly, she hung out with the pharaoh's son as well and they gossiped about the other Pharaohs, etc down in the underworld. Kunlun Max mentioned in one of his workshops that touching and feeling the solidity of the entities can come up in his path as well. There were some sexual experiences in that path reported by other students and I had an erotic encounter myself. While interesting, I ultimately decided that this path drained my vitality and luck and I requested help from Mak Tin Si on the matter. Yoda

Seth, When my Dad passed away a month and a half ago, Mak Tin Si taught me a Chinese saying: "JIT OI SUUN BEEN" ç¯€å“€é †è®Š JIT - to reduce OI - sadness Suun - flow BEEN - changes Jit or 'jeet' and oi rhymes with 'toy'... the phrase means not to be too sad as that blocks the flow of life for the rest of the family. He suggested to live a more clean, disciplined lifestyle for awhile and avoid being too happy like partying or being too sad for as long as possible and the early days and weeks are more important to be clean than in months down the road but many Chinese believe that the transition process can take 3 years or so. It's definitely a challenging time... good luck with it! Your pal, Yoda

So Liu Bie's/Xuande's Taoist advisor, although very young, has proven himself a brilliant strategist in his first battle and now the stinting brothers acknowledge his abilities. But Cao Cao is closing in with his main army and Liu Bie's wife just sacrificed herself to save her son as Liu Bie's general would not have been able to save both of them. Presently, the general has the son and is hacking his way through Cao Cao's army with Cao Cao's very own sword that goes through armor like butter... The teacher, Master Sleeping Dragon, has a very good feel for the fate of each individual and is doing a good job weaving the threads together to help China find peace and has found a worthy student in Xuande. The vibe presented in this book is that if Xuande had not earnestly and repeatedly requested the services of Master Sleeping Dragon, the Taoist master would not have lended a hand to stabilize China.

TheSongsofDistantEarth, Great suggestion!!! At least in SC, CU's are better for most everything except for mortgages but they are now teaming up with local mortgage brokers (the actual lenders are still usually the big banks). Your pal, Yoda

Fun thread! The Graham translation sounds interesting. My fav hell and yin dimension resource is the Journey to the West chapter 11: http://www.chine-informations.com/fichiers/jourwest.pdf Where Tang Emperor Taizong is accused of going back on his word to the Dragon King and has to stand trial in Hell. A popular Chinese understanding compiled during the Ming Dynasty, this is a great tour. Plus other parts of the book give a popular understanding of the Celestial Dimension. Also there's an account "Journey to the Underworld" by a fellow in the 1970s which is another popular Chinese understanding: http://www.white-sun.com/journeys_to_the_underworld.htm One complicating factor is that Hell sometimes refers to the yin dimension underworld which is more like the Greek Hades... and not necessarily a place of torment. In my school, the "bad hell" is just part of the larger yin dimension. No tour of Chinese Hell is complete without checking out the Hell Bank Notes for sale in the Asian grocery store: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hell_bank_note -Yoda PS re: what thelerner said about Mak Tin Si on the development of yin sight... it should be added that Mak Tin Si does not recommend developing the yin sight or otherwise forging too close a relationship with the yin dimension folks through other forms of mediumship as the Ng Yin Do Pai sect believes that doing so has detrimental effects in this life and make reincarnation more difficult to achieve in the next.
