there are many here who have awakened kundalini, so we'll have to see if anyone chimes in. My speculation is that Kunlun would awaken the same chakras that kundalini would with a focus on the grounding qualities of the ltt and the crystal palace over the other chakras and might perhaps do a better job as a practice keeping the third eye/crystal palace area dominant over the crown chakra, which seems to be a problem with many traditional kundalini practices with exceptions of practices like ayp's spinal breathing which builds in measures to keep the third eye more active than the crown and the downward flow in balance with the upward flow. I would say it's worth the $15 to find out, though.

They've done pilot studies on mice that sleep with their heads to the north have higher stress hormones than mice that sleep in other directions, with all other things being equal.

I was also wondering about the high responder/low responder kind of a thing.

Sasha, It's an honor to have your voice on the forum and thanks for the clarification. A lot of us have taken the Kunlun workshop or read the book so I'd imagine we'd relate your all's footage to Kunlun but I'd love to hear more about the practice itself what it is, any philosophy behind it, difficulty level, differences with Kunlun, etc. Yours, Yoda

Dao Zhen, fantastic offer, thank you! Pietro, I think your initiating this thread is a sign that you are the appropriate one to go. Yours, Yoda

I think where we left off on it was that Nityama didn't have to do that technique on a naked woman... may be more of a marketing thing. He did attend one of Max's recent workshops, but apparently his practice is distinctive from Kunlun and he isn't a teacher of Kunlun.

Taommy, Welcome to taobums!! Hang out here long enough, and I'm sure you'll find some groovy tips! The Yoda brainstorm: start with taking some Natural Calm Magnesium (or another mg supplement in powdered form) and practicing a simple form of meditation while lying down 2x a day whether a silent mantra, silent affirmation, meditation CD, relaxing music, or just simply lying there. If you sleep with your head pointing north, I'd change that too. Score some chamomile/sleepytime type of a tea to drink after work. Those are the get rolling ideas that come to mind. Imo, each of us has a particular nut to crack and to the extent we can crack it, we create a pathway for others to follow which will have a cascading beneficial effect for everyone else so even just focusing on the basics can be a powerful opportunity to help others which I think is a buried passion in all humans. Your pal, Yoda

I recently tracked down an old pal of mine and visited him in the psych ward yesterday. He's not crazy, but he did attempt suicide. I've been "what iffing" a fair amount since that visit, as he and I weren't on speaking terms when he tried for the exit door. Maybe I could have helped during that time??? The reason we weren't speaking is that he had been rude to me which drove me off. But I knew that he was a charity case kind of a situation and perhaps I shouldn't have been so fickle. This morning I got a mass email about a professor serving coffee in a variety of mugs... some nice, some not so nice and all the students eyeing each other's mugs when the professor said that the whole point is to enjoy the coffee and not worry so much about the mug and he closed with: "Worry looks around, sorrow looks back, but faith looks up." I can tune into each of those perspectives and I think the truest and most beneficial perspective is that of faith that all things will work out fine in the end and even are working out fine in the here and now too. I can feel that that *is* the ultimate truth, but it's a slippery one at times...

Even if my life-after-death theory is 100% spot on, I still don't know much. The people who have had near death experiences whether through literally dying or just spiritually dying definitely have a leg up on the situation. I've read that they are also calmer in general about this life and have distinctive brain wave patterns as well as being more accepting of death. Tune into a person or an animal who has croaked and you'll find a very cheerful vibe. Even from a young age, I've found funerals to be extremely funny where people assume that death is a bad thing but the actual dead guy's vibe is quite high and jolly.

I haven't the foggiest, but I'd get them xrayed as soon as possible just to rule out and to catch early any cavities before you have to go to a root canal. Here's an important public service announcement:

Like in D&D there are nice dragons and naughty ones. Hadn't thought of the dragon tie in--thanks! After watching Alex Collier, I like to think that the dozen or so gods that run around with their aka-s as Thor, Zeus, Venus, Loki, Mercury, etc etc are really just a band of Pleiadian teenagers just having fun. There is an allusion to the connection between the Pleiades and the greek gods: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pleiades_(mythology) Also the Book of Job alludes to the "sweet influence of the Pleiades" on human life. No doubt from the more mature members of their race.

just that if you find yourself thinking negatively and feeling bad just changing your thoughts on the spot to feel happier and more loving etc... the raindrops on roses approach. At least for me, it's easier to just meditate for a bit than to dust off my inner Julie Andrews.

It is easier to stop the mind than it is to change the mind. And by stopping the mind, the natural, high vibration comes back automatically. I've found that to be very true... any sort of stillness meditation you can get into even for just 10-15 minutes is super effective. Personally, I like mantra meditations like ayp's iam or affirmations like 'love' or 'bliss' used like a mantra (say it mentally once every 10-60 seconds while lying down with the head towards the south and ear mufflers on. And sometimes a mindfold on if I really need to be 'gone'.) Ideally, I'll have two such sessions a day to stay nice n groovy. If I'm negative, I reach for stillness meditation every time, if possible. If I'm already happy, then I'll do other things like Kunlun, stretching, etc. just for fun.

Oh, I was just referring to the physical world as Siddhi City... not a gambling casino or anything.
