Good deal! It'll be great to have an east coast Mecca going on and NJ would be very convenient. For myself, I'll probably do a booster workshop later in the year.

What I did for that was to do the same system, but just use it weekly not daily. And on my calendar I have #1, #2, #3, etc marked for each respective Monday for the year to remind me to check it. I think the biggest step is carrying a few 3x5 cards or a palm pilot around. It's great for artistic inspiration too. And helps us spiritual types be more grounded.

Trunk should have a counter on his site where people can click on to estimate how many months or years of wasted or counterproductive time they have saved by reading his site. I'd imagine his site has collectively saved *many* lifetimes worth of effort.

Starjumper, You are late to the party on this one! We've plowed this field many times over and everyone's pretty much settled into their respective camps by now. Mantra68 and Max have asked that we not spill the beans on the practice details, so you'd have to pony up the cash or borrow a copy. From what I can tell from reading people's experiences with Kunlun, if they were negative about it from the start they will stay negative but if they were neutral or positive they'll have a good experience with it. So I'm not sure if it would be worth your time researching. Personally, I was extremely impressed by Max and the practice. While I haven't attained enlightenment, levitated, etc in my 50+/- days I've been doing it, it's a ***seriously*** nice practice. Your pal, Yoda

Pietro, Thanks for the great GTD writeup!!! While I haven't incorporated all of GTD, to the extent that I have, it totally rocks. His philosophy of "freeing up RAM space for a tranquil mind" really drew me in. GTD has inspired me to keep a cleaner house to free up yet more RAM space and I'm just getting rolling on this as a habit. I also bought a way cool wallet which holds a full size pen and 3x5 index cards ruled the 'other way' so I can write down thoughts as they come up. I have Power of Full Engagement (Sean's recommendation) and Organizing from within (Lozen's) on my to-read list. I hope they are inspiring too. Your pal, Yoda

So the conference call was fun... couldn't understand him perfectly but his soul singing was groovy. I'm going to listen to his soul song for weight reduction... what a coup if it works, huh? I wonder if he has a song for ltt cultivation? I heard his third eye song and it was very nice.

Btw, the Dalai Lama has said that "affection" is a better word than compassion or love.

Here's a list of well known gurus that make up a good portion of our inspiration here at taobums: Chia... the guy who started it all! Winn, Yudelove, and Trunk... refining and organizing and popularizing the message. Alchemicaltaoism.com is the ultimate distillation. Cohen, Frantzis, and Reid... the offline Taoists. Witch, Plato, and Mr Johnson... the sex gurus! Chug that oil and make some noise with some help from those leeetle toys! Furey, Sonnon, and Pavel... let's get physical: strength and fitness with grace and mobility for fighters, strength athletes, and us bums. Wang Xiang Zhai, Lam Kam Chuen, etc... you know where they stand. Master Nan, Bill Bodri and Little Max... meditationexpert.com: don't just do something, sit there! Yogani... advancedyogapractices.com: Kechari anyone? Adyashanti, Tolle, Zandi... the unbearable lightness of non-being. David Shen, Dynamo Jack, and Robert Peng... the shock jocks! Max and Chris... Stevie Wonder nei kung. Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water... ~~~ Of course we have lots of masters right on our own site: the banished Ron Jeremy, Lin and Taomeow who actually know something about taoism, Karen our diet guru, Mythmaker, Xenolith, and Matthewqi our kundalini masters, Thelerner the financial guru, Sean the webmaster, Drew the full lotus guru, and the rest of us test pilots paving the way for an easier cultivation path for future generations. We are way too cool.

I love making resolutions for the new year!! I haven't sat down to brew any up yet. Anyone got some good ones? Nothing mega exciting or mildly kinky is coming to mind so far... open to any suggestions.

if anyone is interested, there's a free healing teleconference tomorrow night Tues night 8:30 EST I think you can find it on drsha.com, if not, let me know. I'll see what I can vibe out.

the Internet is seriously my most cherished possession.

Inner Light, I had asked Max if it was okay to do Hindu mantra practices with Kunlun and he said it was fine as long as were at different times of the day. The one day I had to do everything together, I felt as if I had activated too much stuff too close together. But other than that one time, it's working out well. I'm glad you are diggin' it. Your pal, Yoda

I'll check out one of his telephone conferences and report back.

I was, uh, just getting in touch with my feminine side there... Gopher... Issac... the Captain... Gillian... Tattoo... they are all so good, it's hard to choose!
-
Bindo and The Inner Light, Thanks for sharing your experiences and I'll definitely keep them in mind! I'm only a chapter or two into the book, but I'm very taken by it so far. I've been interested in learning more about the intersection between prayer and cultivation and this book really addresses this subject quite nicely. Your pal, Yoda

I'm just a K-newbie, but it seems to me that if your arms get tired just let them drop down or let them move too... whatever they feel like doing is fine. Assuming that they are obeying the laws of your land, of course.

Welcome to taobums! We'll keep you busy for awhile!

Will ZZ ever make its way to football? I'd like to think so. In the meantime: http://www.zimbio.com/College+Football/art...+Penalized+Haka
