Feel free to speak in Chinese... it's way cool to see Chinese characters around here.

Sereneblue seemed to have good preliminary results with Kunlun with a similar condition. It can be done in any position and she wouldn't have overheating problems with it. There's a lot about Kunlun on this site and kunlunbliss.com. Good luck with it! Yoda

Welcome to taobums! There's no way that I'm hanging weights off my little friend, but Xenolith, Trunk, and Plato have had experience both good and bad with the practice. You might PM them. Good luck! Also, check out alchemicaltaoism.com... it's an important supplement to traditional taoist teachings that have hit American soil.

Lozen, I'll check them out! Yoda Actually, I think I'll take fish oil out as a new years ambition... too shaky. I think my big resolution will be to keep a tidy house... that's a good one for me... good Vaastu/fengsui dividends.

Lozen, I recently read, "Getting things done" it's a great book on getting organized. Your pal, Yoda

Okay, I thought it over and in 2008 I want to add standing, fish oil, and volunteer work to my lifestyle. I don't really have any goals for the year other than to up my income a notch and keep up my practice and incorporate the above elements. I'd like to see Max again in 2008 and travel to India. I just ordered a fresh passport to have handy, but I'll play it by ear.

Trunk, you da man!! Very cool insights.

present company excepted, of course. But seriously though... state liquor stores, 55mph, home schooling outlawed...

Ultimately, electric cars and fusion energy are the answer, but we'll have to be patient for that. Electric cars aren't too far off... maybe 10 years. It's pretty much practical already, just get a plug in hybrid and you are there. It turns out that the flex fuel revolution may already be sitting in your driveway. I saw a youtube vid where they ran a regular non-flex fuel Tahoe for a 100,000 miles on 85% ethanol fuel and then took the engine and fuel system apart and it was absolutely fine... all cars in the USA built after 1988 are built to run on 10% ethanol and therefore can handle the effects of ethanol throughout the system. The only issue is that converting to E85 will reduce the fuel mixture to a leaner burn so there may be a loss of driving performance. They sell convertion kits for the fuel injector that are said to take care of this. Also, a vehicle may have been engineered to handle the fuel injection issue. Don't try this without fact checking Yoda, but if I'm willing to risk blindness to experiment with sungazing, I didn't hesistate to fill my car up with e85 and see what happens! The 105 octane is fun! Yay!! The cost savings is fun too. It burns just a tiny bit lean (the check engine light lights, but no noticeable change of performance) which is acceptable. Actually, being winter the e85 is actually e70. I'll have to see what the mileage is. A slight drop is expected which may cancel out the savings at the pump. But it's nice to send my money to people who aren't bent on killing me... it's a soothing feeling. Also, if the mixture turns out to be too lean, I can just add in a bit of gas every fill up. It turns out there is an e85 pump even in the backwards land of Pennsylvania... of course they are everywhere in rebel South Carolina. I'll need to do something about my check engine light driving clients around and all. I'll research the situation more and either adjust the mixture at the pump or I'll buy a $50 diagnostic computer and edit the light off or get a mechanic to do that for me. Another option is to just adjust the fuel mixture to a richer mix and just run on e85... I'd have to mapquest e85 gas stations for road trips, etc. I found an e85 forum to discuss all the nuts and bolts of the project, so while I'm not a gear head, I'll figure this thing out. Yoda

Nice report and great to have you back!

Max said in Phoenix that the colder the better. He mentioned not to practice too close to a tree or water. I don't know what to think of that... I've got a groovy pond that I would like to practice next to. I don't know if there is interference to practice next to them or if there's simply a danger of being overly attracted to them that you get magnetically stuck to them. If it's the latter, I wouldn't worry about it too much as my vibe isn't that powerful at this point.

Thoughts not being allowed to run their course... Maybe that top down restlessness is what the "punishment from heaven" is referring to.

What are everyone's fav black teas? I'd be interested in the elite teas as well as the easier to find stuff too. I've been drinking PG Tips these days, which I'm enjoying and wonder what the next increment up is?

So it turns out that the Dalai Lama just eats 1x a day in the morning. He says you'll never see him skip breakfast! I'm a fan of 1x a day, but it's usually dinner. Anyone tried breakfast first thing? The Taoist dude, Pritchard, I think suggests a 1x a day is best around lunch.

I don't know in what sense Kan's chang over is going on, but well wishes to him on it!!! He's a total stud!!

You've come to the right place... we are the Mecca of not-knowing!

I remember when I was sungazing that sensitive electronics would often be disabled around me (like digital watches, electronic compasses and UV radiation detectors) but a battery powered analogue watch not so much and plug in electronics only very rarely. Blessedly, Kunlun doesn't have anywhere near that sort of voltage and I haven't noticed any issues with electronics in my experience, at least. You'd really have to be a powerhouse to blow out a regular, low tech table lamp. If you ever do, let us know!

btw, way cool on the Chinese characters! What does it mean?

Max suggested that I play around with the time of day to practice Kunlun, saying that it would have different effects at different times of the day or night. I was doing it at night, but I didn't like the dreams that I was having... but the practice was great... Recently, I've been doing it first thing in the morning... a great way to start the day, but the practice wasn't as strong on the whole. (I'm just not a morning person.) I dislike having negative dreams and I don't know exactly what their cause is... I've had a history of having really positive, breakthrough experiences followed by having dreams of being in a haunted/spooky house where the energy was very stagnant and fearful. My interpretation is that the dreams are from some negative thought patterns being released, so the whole thing is positive. Kunlun at night feels totally great to the point of breakthrough territory, so this fits. I can't decide whether the dreams are a groovy catharsis or just a function of going to sleep with too much energy. Hmmm.

I can't imagine any problems unless you are a nuclear reactor.

Yoda's understanding of the matter: The 1-3pm was forbidden for Red Phoenix, but is acceptable just not optimal for Kunlun. Not due to the heat of the day, but rather the vibration of that time of the day can be problematic.
