Combining fasting and spiritual cultivation practices is best left to hermits and monks, imo.

If you can top it, I'll be impressed. The Kunlun range starts in Kashmir... Oh let the sun beat down upon my face, stars to fill my dream I am a traveler of both time and space, to be where I have been To sit with elders of the gentle race, this world has seldom seen They talk of days for which they sit and wait and all will be revealed Talk and song from tongues of lilting grace, whose sounds caress my ear But not a word I heard could I relate, the story was quite clear Oh, oh. Oh, I been flying... mama, there ain't no denyin' I've been flying, ain't no denyin', no denyin' All I see turns to brown, as the sun burns the ground And my eyes fill with sand, as I scan this wasted land Trying to find, trying to find where I've been. Oh, pilot of the storm who leaves no trace, like thoughts inside a dream Heed the path that led me to that place, yellow desert stream My Shangri-La beneath the summer moon, I will return again Sure as the dust that floats high in June, when movin' through Kashmir. Oh, father of the four winds, fill my sails, across the sea of years With no provision but an open face, along the straits of fear Ohh. When I'm on, when I'm on my way, yeah When I see, when I see the way, you stay-yeah Ooh, yeah-yeah, ooh, yeah-yeah, when I'm down... Ooh, yeah-yeah, ooh, yeah-yeah, well I'm down, so down Ooh, my baby, oooh, my baby, let me take you there Let me take you there. Let me take you there

The above account is from someone who reinvented the wheel on her own, and thus had a more difficult time. Learning Kunlun, one expects the kriyas, is fine with them, knows how to ground and to control the process, so it's a much easier affair than she went through most likely.

Have fun and try to be good!!

Gordon, I'm on it, thanks!! Max called it the Gold Flower, but I like to think of it as the Golden Flower as that's the translations I've read. It's an add on to Red Phoenix especially for when one's RP practice becomes mature. Yoda

Again, the energy working between them was incredible. And she was so new too!! Amazing. It really captivates the imagination... what this practice's existence may mean for me, my friends, family, taobums, and the world... is mind boggling and I haven't even started thinking about Red Phoenix or Golden Flower yet!! I think a lot of what Max taught wasn't intended to be fully understood but rather to stretch open our thinking about what is possible. I wish I remembered more of his exact phrases, but whatever. I'm just glad this stuff got figured out in the first place... sounded like Max has had quite a cultivation career!! He should write an autobiography of a yogi someday.

So I'm going to read Luke, Acts, and Corinthians about speaking in tongues. I'll probably go to a Pentacostle church at some point too to meet my new practice bretheren! Max gave us the 30 second low down on how the Christians do it, so I'll check it out when I've gotten myself up to speed. I'll read up on kriyas too. Anyone know good resources on any of the above? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glossolalia

You do lose some life, but it gets mixed with others and they pay you back with interest.
