Hello thanks for your reply. I am very into this consciousness raising stuff. I do realise what your saying sometimes my mind changes and I cannot really do anything about it, I cannot make a decision based on what I would do if my mind would change primarly because I dont know what it would change to. I do realise I need to start becoming more balanced but I am interested in spontaneous art, music, poetry, nutrition, plants, animals I guess (hmmm) and yes Im really looking into getting into business -

Hello Yamu. I wish to be a healer or someone that shows others the way to heal themselves. I will look into nursing however in all honesty I have a cringey feeling that comes up if I think of a future where I tell people I am a nurse call me superficial but thats just the reality. Also Im pretty sure that I will have to go to university. Is the idea of counselling/psychotherapy that bad of a safety net? to then start getting into other areas? I am interested in Medical Qigong however is it possible to just dive right in? ps I have been looking at this stillness movement thread the past day it is really intriguing me. -

Hello I agree having just read rich dad poor dad, I am keen to start looking into making money. However I also feel that having a degree is like a safety net. I can do both right, a degree and make businesses I have a year before I will likely start university also. I am keen to make a business but I also believe in having a degree for safety. -

Hello either I have a communication issue or my own intentions are more selfish than I thought I can't seem to figure out which. Either way I believe that in order to do this consciousness raising stuff and bring it to the general public I need to be taken seriously a PHD MAY help with this credibility aspect. Also the universitys dont seem to teach the real juice of the "therapies" Im interested in...spontaneous movement, meditation, creative art, poetry, music, lucid dreaming, psychadelics (even more recently qigong stillness movement) And yes getting a PHD may be nice but by the time Im finished I will be like 30 or more good years of my life gone..so it is difficult to make a decision. -

Hello mate, yeah sounds pretty cool. I live in the UK in London . I will have to check karuna and naropa in more detail. However a big thing for me is that university fees are paid by student loan, I have looked on UCAS and these are the best two that come up. Honestly I know there are seperate courses which equip you more however a degree is also neccessary for career prospects. I can always learn methods later or whilst studying. http://www.uclan.ac.uk/information/courses/ba_counselling_psychotherapy_studies.php -

So what is your opinion on is it a valid reasons to get a phd to get involved with this consciousness raising stuff? or the transition from going from a degree to a phd. My main aim is to get involved with this consciousness raising stuff. -

Hello mate thats really helpful. Yes I was thinking of getting a PHD as I see so many spiritual books written by doctors. I was also thinking of making businesses/a business. First starting experimenting and just keeping experimenting and making failures and mistakes, reading books. Also I have creativty and social skills to some degree however it is also very easy to improve my social skills or ability to network. -

Building a retreat centre- with sacred geometry, luxury, feng shui, sustainable living
skydog posted a topic in General Discussion
I am considering building a resort/retreat centre some time. I want to make sure it is constructed in a way that puts people into a deep meditative state naturally. So ideally it would use feng shui, sacred geometry, certain materials, also it would be deeply in touch with the environment as well as being a beacon of sustainable living. Any ideas, books, organisations to contact, to find out more about this? -
I have spent a lot of time with different types of memory healing practices Emotional Freedom Techniques and Emotional Freedom Technique matrix re-imprinting: These practices specifically go to a memory and tap on various acupuncture points while focusing on the memory, then perhaps one would change the memory by tapping on the child in the quantum field. Tibetan practices- Thinking of a goal you want and imagining a fire burning all obstacles for this goal. The healing codes- Praying to remove all the memories, images and beliefs which stop you from receiving what you want. I find that they are all powerful, however they tend to focus my mind on removing the obstacles and affirming the reality that I don't have what I want. With the exception of the healing codes which is perhaps a lot softer and kinder although come to think of it I have never used it for just one memory before. However one can also forget the past and just focus on feelings such as appreciation, love, kindness, joy, relaxation, bliss, ecstasy, trust and contemplating things such impermanence, death, the dream like reality of life, the selfish intentions of everything, personal responsibility for everything etc. Which is a lot more joyful, also visualising that you already have the goal which changes your thought patterns. You can also do both. However it would be great to have some kind of scientific study as to which method or combination of methods is the most powerful and kindest to self.

How neccessary is memory healing- methods etc
skydog replied to skydog's topic in General Discussion
Interesting, I was reading this book about mind mapping and it was talking about the brain and saying the more you strengthen a thought the more freely the neurons fire and the stronger the thought will be. By focusing on removing the thought your focusing on the thought, I doubt you can ever completely remove any thought as the mind has a memory databse. If you focus on good thoughts the thoughts will probably have such strength that focusing on anything else will prove very difficult. I think the fire one is quite useful though. -

thanks for the replies guys. to rainbow vein- the place is nice but I was thinking more sustainability..not my cup of tai chi to jetsun and Taiji Bum thats interesting, Im going to really research sacred geometry. Actually Lerner I really liked your comment. Could you tell me what is a bagua, trelis and trigram? Also the idea of meditation seats carved from trees is interesting yet..im somewhat unsure how well that fits with sustainable living. heres a nice place.. http://www.treehugger.com/sustainable-product-design/compact-forest-dwelling-in-les-maisons-sylvestres-by-matali-crasset.html -
I dont know too much about the science of Qigong But I feel that I need to compress the energy in my stomach and sometims when I sit down my stomach gets tight and tenses and my body comes forward. I was reading in this book Neigong about a standing posture where I focus on the belly but the energy gets really tight. ?

"All is one" meanings nothing to me. It is a concept, a belief, spiritual bullshit. It has some truth. Like everything. But the truth has nothing to do with the "belief" that all is one.

EFT (matrix) Re-imprinting and lucid dreaming- similarities
skydog posted a topic in General Discussion
The difference between normal eft and eft matrix reimprinting is going back to the you in the memory or past and tapping on them and conversing with them. As this is called the matrix and is the field all life comes from, as all our bodies cell die over and over again. In lucid dreaming you are working with memories also. So if you were to become good at lucid dreaming you would be dealing with memories in a similar healing way..yes. If so this would be a very powerful practice? -
I lost my debit card in a foreign country and potentially I may go a few days without food, ideally I want to have food, but I was curious if people know of any techniques where they live off qi Ive fasted for a day a couple of times recently with this spontaneous movements..?

Ive been to Osho's Ashram and Id say its more than worth it. Do the practices..apply it to real life, see what works what doesnt -
Personally I dont think so, and I think its just an excuse to be a lazy bitch and not achieve results. But some people think you need time to heal?

Is there such a thing as too much "meditation"
skydog replied to skydog's topic in General Discussion
Actually I realised the reason If you are doing practices for a goal- better health, relationships, sex, money etc then you are hurting yourself in order to get those goals because you dont love yourself enough without having achieved those goals. so if you accepted yourself more without having achieved the goals you would be more gentle with meditation and relax -
The healing codes- Praying for healing memories for the goal you want.
skydog posted a topic in General Discussion
Anyone have any experience with this. It seems very powerful to me after one day, and it seems crazy how even physical issues are related to beliefs and memories. My hands shakes while doing it (kundalini) whereas a few months ago its was just tingling (possibly this means I have energetic powers)...also I am amazed at this belief in the ability to heal others so I am using the codes for my dad with arthritis. -
sometimes ill be at peace all day then someone will do something like spit in front of me..which makes me want to express a few swearwords anger etc. I feel this is neccessary on the one hand im proud of myself for sticking up for myself and being brave, fierce and strong on the other i feel like ive lost my cool. opinions?
