On Sacred Geometry/Art as a cultivation method

That is interesting jetsun, I guess thats kind of like making art to precise mathematical limits?, i wonder if this is at all like aboriginal ar where they use sacred geometry in their paintings? -
I agree with this thought. This is very deep and wise. I dont think that the following observation is 100% related to your OP Deci but I interpeted with this lens anyways I will keep what I wrote here : But in my opinion, most people and very very much "myself" included just cant accept this. It is just too much for them or "their" egos. "I" had a thought. That one can "meditate"/awareness is there and THINK/philosophise both at the same time. So purposely trying to think/philosophise. "I" have a habit of/I am receiving a lot of clever thoughts/epiphanies, which entertain my ego and make "me" Identify with ego, a lot more, "I" also find "I" am very attached to this, maybe thats a belief too of an "I" that is attached, while "I" write this it is dissolving. Anyways in tantra they dont say destroy pleasure, they watch pleasure, knowing that by watching it will go by itself. So yeh, awareness during thought, meditation whilst philosophising/thinking. But "who" is meditating, and "who" is thinking.. Also watching the desire to have a method that will both remove ego and keep pleasure there, and future involved Observing fear and whose fear

I only just watched that video. I find it interesting that they dance around a fire, fire being an element to cleanse. Today I felt like I was literally white fire, still feel it. Also how they naturally make music through songs and the instruments on their ankles. Also how the person woke up with a twisted neck that became healed giving "powers." And how the longer you dance apparantely the more power you get I also find this. I remember reading about zhuang zhang (I prefer this kind of thing though to be honest) how they were said to make extreme progress doing 5 hours a day all in a row everyday for a month would open their channels. Also I found it interesting how the shaman dances WITH the people...

Interesting so do you have any kind of information on what could be useful for someone beginning at this apart from what others have said? Cheers -
The pursuit of happiness is the road to hell...

There is some truth to this..There is also some truth to the idea that if you dont chase enlightenment as if your life depended on it you wont achieve it. -

White wolf I would like to think I am open minded to that article however if I am honesty there is some resistance to that article. 1) It seems like propoganda. 2)Many spiritual people who have to live in a capitalist society will likely be finding it difficult, most native tribes who had to change their lifestyle become drug dependent etc because there way of life is ruined and they cant fit in. 3) There are people here like Recep Ivedik and E.T thoughts I actually consider mentally ill, psychotic. Yet mental hospitals would consider them as normal because religion is accepted. 4.) People who are likely to have waken up are also likely to have gone through much suffering.. 5) Also I am curious what is their suggested cure..religion (are they trying to say one cant be spiritual if not religious aka justifying beliefs) their pharmaceutical pills they get paid for. 6) Writers write loads of rubbish to sell papers, as one person commented, everyone is considered to be more under stress than others.. hmm nothig personal, I just find the article is invoking some kind of reaction in me.

That is interesting do you have an example of that... -
haha I guess so Well I guess to some degree it does depend on ones own taste/emotional reaction to certain music but I will tell you what I have/am also planning to put on my mp3 player. Lion King- Circle of life, he lives in you, Can you feel the love tonight Pocahontas- Colours of the wind Tarzan- Youll be in my heart Xavier Rudd- Come let go, Let me be, Didgeridoo Jamming (plan to put others on) Ash Dargan- Shiva Aphex twin- didgeridoo, pulsewidth, heliospan Shpongle- DMT (plan to put others on) Midnite- Foolish and the Wise, Bushman (plan to put others on) Lee scratch perry- I am a madman, Rain night dub (maybe put others on) Tibetan/Buddhist Mantra Chanting (maybe put others on) Sufi music- Tree of patience, Dream of the dreams (maybe put others on) Native American- Sundance (maybe put others on) Dennis Brown and Gregory Isaacs- Raggamuffin Tenor Saw- Ring the Alarm Barrington Levi (under mi sensei) Plan to put some more reggae on Djembe music- Le tambours de burundi black, zimbabwe/botswana music, senegal day, djembe Feng Shui Music, Bamboo chinese flute. Plan to put mozart etc, maybe some santana-transcendence, europa, moonflower. My own rule is how it makes me feel even so called music that should be good eg native american music sometimes makes me feel sad, I dont know the logical reason, maybe past life or something lol or maybe they are crying about something, also I try to put music that is based on joy, love, peace, appreciation, playfulness, harmony, not really into stuff about changing the world TOO MUCH... Live music is best, second best speakers, then good headphones, then cheap headphones, also if you live somewhere hot good to do barefoot..maybe natural clothes.

Yeh I have done some ecstatic dance groups in london some of them were ok because I was going there with with a girl I was seeing at the time/it was more spiritual but the biodanza was annoying honestly I view myself as much more experienced at this than some of the teachrs who would pull me to the side as if I was mentally ill because I would shake a lot I also found it irritating all the marketing gimmicks used they all claim to have invented trance dance, and for example todays session of shaking wmostly likely deeply shock and scare people so one has to think of looking socialin certain place and cant completely let go eg I would start crying, or doing hard qigong on myself, or eyes closed going fast.
-
I agree Thanks mostly Yeh I do it in an isolated spot lol, annoying when the odd dog walker comes by though, haha. Also I have received transmissions so they help and I would like to shake with tribes at some point although michael lomaxes is similar.

I would reccomend the book shaking medicine by bradford keeney, it was like my bible in India lol. I did a lot of it in groups with friends drumming or me taking turns drumming, also in oshos resort everyday also in trance dance parties, or ecstatic dance classes. Stillness movement neigong is similar so I would also reccomend it but not quite the same. One can contemplate different thing shwile dancing or sending love to people or memories.

It is a form of spontaneous movement, not trying to shake, and not trying to stop the shake. It is very powerful in a group, and when women are there with me I get literally drunk on energy and bliss. Like barely walking/talking properly/doing ridiculous things. It is very different to meditation in terms of accessing a drug like state of consciousness and playfulness. Today I did 4 hours of spontaneous movement/dance around a tree, with good vibration music, It was a profoundly mystical experience.

Some people discuss how money is bad/evil yet have all their needs taken care off. I dont see being "spiritual with having to accept slave labour/scarcity in life. There is much stuff out there about this, and one can do many good things with money. Also thinking of maslows hierarchy where self actualisation is said to happen after base needs are met dont 100% agree, but it does ring true for me. I wish you luck in your financial mastery Also I dont think money should neccessarily be the aim, more ABUNDANCE Imo there is a difference living in accordance with heart desires rather than numbers in the bank which dont neccessarily mean anything. I dont see working in a job you hate 60 hours a week, doing greedy corrupt things and having lots of money as abundant. Other people might. My aim is abundant. One might be abundant now instead of thinking they need "money" to be abundant creating resistance. I feel I am abundant and am going to maintain/build on it. I think more about giving value than "making money"

Actually Ive done a lot of this. It is very powerful and enjoyable. I do stillness movement now, not saying one is better than the other, just different...fun.

I laughed and felt rainbow veins reaction both at the same time.
