How many people practice Taoism to gain supernatural powers?
skydog replied to idiot_stimpy's topic in Daoist Discussion
lol at the last page and agree with ya mus post. I guess I kind of do, everyone gets involved usually on some level what appears to be egoic goals, but really it could be something much deeper. I have superpowers, but their not super, they only seem super because of science and the dogmatic theories forced upon children as realities. -
im just healing my bad karma on you
-
thank you teacher oh wise one, i am blessed by your masterlyness bows to the floor

dont be angry et, you naughty little boy, i am righteous and watching you, look at that anger, disgusting, how dare you ever be annoyed or negative, why are you not moral yet, you have a lot of work to do
-
well your preaching makes me feel negative!! haha, so I fumble and become negative. Its like your in the background, looking like "Your not a good boy! behave and act good, I am always righteous and you are bad, why are you not good, why dont you concentrate on being good and being moral?" Irritating

Which Taoist ? (Like Trip Advisor but far more subjective) :-)
skydog replied to GrandmasterP's topic in General Discussion
Do enough qigong, energy work etc and attempt spontaneous movement eg fake at first it will come, workshops also help. best -
true, if someone elses negative thoughts affect our next life situation, then our negative thoughts towards them will affect theirs

oh and taoism is learned very well in the movements michael omax teaches, the spontaneoity and going with the flow, trust etc, is taoism, which then translates to every area of your life eg relationships, go with the flow whatever happens, happens for the best, its meant to be, no plans, no ideas, no repression, planning what to do, what is the best time etc etc -

well nature is a great teacher of taoism, what is not taoist, waterfalls flow like a river, sometimes i think people just need to spend half their day in a forest, with fresh air, trees, rivers beauty, more powerful than a book -

A woman who I have been seeing, who is an energy healer, and does work on peoples soul memory and past lives she gets paid to, well (I dont want to say this because it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy) but I am skeptical of everything, trying to be less. I actually didnt want to know anything about my past lives, I said to her that for some reason I have a fear of knowing, eventually I just asked her why I am so interested in this stuff, she said all that. Also I have a very strong pull almost an impulse with mexico or native americans, feel like just packing up my bags and going, this seems so illogical that I have to make up an exucse for it, she told me that I might have some attraction to it because native americans pay a lot of attention to their ancestors not heaven or earth energy but a different type of energy that is useful. It wasnt past life regression, but yeh it resonates with me

The idea that someone can own a forest/land and charge you to live in it
skydog posted a topic in General Discussion
If you spend enough time around trees/plants you will probably notice they are living intelligent beings... Do I feel like an owner of a forest or do I feel like the forest owns me. I feel like an integral part of an interconnected intelligence of forest like a cell of a plant. I think humans need to revert back to living 80% nature, 20% technology. If I wanted to go and live in the woods even temporarily I get the idea some idiot would come along and try to "charge" me for it, because apparantly he owns the land. I consider that theft. I dont consider it to theft to not have to pay money to live on earth. -
I agree with yondamine. There is a lot of power in manifestation, would you rather be broke, have nothing you want, etc just because you think manifestation is for "new age bunnies" Yeah sometimes its taken overboard, but so is everything, so is taoism for some people, so is buddhism. I have also "manifested" many things

Why are there fewer women than men in search of Enlightenment and Freedom from Samsara?
skydog replied to SunLover's topic in General Discussion
one could argue that searching for enlightenment is a state of depression and resistance, do those really living their lives fully, doing what they enjoy, friends etc, search for enlightenment that hard, why would one be searching for enlightenment, to escape hell? Why is there hell? -

Sounds great. In response to your other thread I am at 36 hours of water fasting, things like ecstatic dance is fine right and sex without ejaculation which is kind of tantra for me? also baguazhuang is ok, but kind of money dependent and I will have to find a more fun teacher, do similar stuff though, cheers.
