  1. "Father Ab-ra-ham, had many sons. Many sons had father Ab-ra-ham. I am one of them, and so are you. So let's just praise the Lord."

It is difficult, because of my faith, to give a direct answer to your question. When I was in university I studied the Christan Bible as a book. Take a look at the theme of suffering. In the book of Job, God offers Job to Satan, as a testament to a good man's Faith in God. Much as Jesus Christ was offered as a sacrifice for humanity's sins, Issac was almost sacrificed by his own father in the Old Testament. So No is my final conclusion, a direct no.
  3. Climate Change

As much as you might be calling for change @voidisyinyang, the hegemony will not allow it. The facts are useless. There was someone that one of my Uncles grew up with who was a mechanical genius. He invented a carbarator that used something like half the gasoline. The oil companies bought his invention and never brought it to market.
  4. [DDJ Meaning] Chapter 1

@timpani, I prefer to call the Way 'abstractly real.'
  5. Han Dynasty Astrophysics?

Is the Huaninzi an actual daoist text? Thinking from the idea that Daoist are natural and do not apply formulas?
  6. Han Dynasty Astrophysics?

I've been pondering passage 4.19 of the Huainanzi. In in it describes 5 colors of qi relating to a period of time: white 900 years bluegreen 800 years red 700 years black 600 years yellow 500 years Could the night sky, (heavens) have been colored to ancient man?
  7. [DDJ Meaning] Chapter 1

exactly, the Way is formless even in terminology. https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/895072-the-formless-way-we-look-at-it-and-do-not

I would NOT read 'surfing the himalayas.' and I am too careless to go and get it off of the shelf. I find trouble with the my own non literal interpretation of some of these texts. I think that the author uses convenient literary constructs to illustrate his / her point. For an intro to Kublai Khan's mentality, I WOULD recommend a book that transparently uses literary constructs, "Invisible Cities," by Italo Calvino.
  9. Bad Kundalini Awakening and Fixing Myself

My logical take on kudalini awakening is that it is nonsense. If Gopi Kirshna wrote a book after he became enlightened, how did he write the book, with a light quill?
  10. Bad Kundalini Awakening and Fixing Myself

    The fortune cookie is though.

  12. Water above Fire

@freeform Which organ is responsible for laughter / humor?
  13. Water above Fire

found this: https://www.chinesemedicineliving.com/philosophy/the-emotions/grief-the-lungs/ According to it the large intestine is the yang to the yin of the lungs, or something like that. "But judging that emotion is not healthy, and only makes you feel worse."
  14. In the film 'All for Liberty,' Henry Felder describes a scene he witnessed about a native American being 'ritualistcally' buried by his English foes. I do not remember it word for word, yet I remember that he described the English shoving dirt into his mouth, and taunting with a phrase like, "Here is your precious land."
  15. Water above Fire

Well now I know why I smoke, I am full of Grief!
  16. Water above Fire

    Source?
  17. Water above Fire

Take emotion's context: The emotion of fire is anger. The emotion of water is love. The goal of tai chi practice is to place your water over your fire, or your love over your anger.
  18. Embody the Emptiness through Forest-Mind Ecology

No, it is when you hold one nostril shut and make a funny noise through your nose. We did it as kids for fun. I wouldn't remember if it hadn't been for the early tech that my dad had, an early tape video camera. My suggestion would be to find an old camera, and maybe take a videography of your journey, if you haven't thought of that yet.
  19. Embody the Emptiness through Forest-Mind Ecology

Do you know what a hawaiian guitar is @voidisyinyang?
  20. Shakes

I've been reading the activity log, and I notice that it shakes; are you doing this?
  21. Embody the Emptiness through Forest-Mind Ecology

My parting gift to you, @voidisyinyang, "Linji said: 'When you have a moment of doubt in your mind, you are obstructed by earth. When you have a moment of love in your mind, you are drowned in water. When you have a moment of anger in your mind, you are burned by fire. When you have a moment of joy in your mind, you are blown around by air.'"
  22. Embody the Emptiness through Forest-Mind Ecology

remember also that doubt is an earthly emotion.
  23. Embody the Emptiness through Forest-Mind Ecology

My best wishes to you then, you must be out of control enough, and well able to withstand your meditation. Air element is noted to cleanse us of our jealousy.
  24. Embody the Emptiness through Forest-Mind Ecology

Just because Noel Smells, (logical anagram), does not mean that you should fall into a trap.
  25. Embody the Emptiness through Forest-Mind Ecology

@voidisyinyang "If a tree falls in your forest, would a bear shit on it?"
