Connecting the energy of the legs in the MCO?

Zhan zhang is supposed to open your leg channel, so is horse stance. Tai Chi is to move chi along leg and arm channels. Bagua is to connect the channel and with heaven and earth. Find a good teacher who really know how to do it might be hard. -
Like the other poster already pointed out that electric light is flickering in a rate of 50hz. Our subtle body can perceive the frequency of lights on and off. It's not pleasant. I have so many blockage in my body and emotional residue. I tend to get tired after cleasing. If not, I do meditation to astral travel (never succeed) at bed. I open my eyes try NOT to sleep in honest. I always feel asleep then.

Well, if you read some Taoist book, you may notice that some use a "plug" to seal the air in. Maybe it's intended for this problem specific? You may give that practice a try. -

Qigong exercise or massage for feet?

Soaking your feet in the hot water for ten minutes before bed everyday. Another ten minutes of foot massage would help too. It really doean't matter where you massage your foot. There are so many pressure points here, you're bound to massage one. You might want to analyze how you stand and walk. I used to walk on the outer edge of my feet. It took a few years for me to correct. -

I second that. You really need a book to open your third eye. Of course, a experienced teacher would be better. I think it's a long process. It's not simple. You can't interpret what you see with your mind. If you do, your mind starts build stuff, then it's hard to get out of the maze. Don't worry about it yet. You should see a bright spot between your brows first if you progress gradually. Smile. the uplifting of corner of eyes and mouth bring light into the "view". The light erase fear and darkness.

Has anyone have experiences with mirror gazing? I recently experiment with it. The wikipedia says it's dangerous without guide of a guru. I think the best guru is within. So I tried it anyway. I just stand to look at my own reflexion in the mirror in low light. After a while, my reflexion face become blur. If I continue staring, I hear a buzz sound intensified in my ear. I feel that I should do something. But I don't know what to do. I just continue looking. Then my reflexion disappear from the mirror. After a few seconds, my image come back into the view again. I'd feel totally aware of my own body, alert and calm. It's different than my normal dream like meditation state. I'd love to know more about this. Thanks.

There is a big difference between half MCO and a full MCO. A cooking instruction says to bake a turkey at 350 for 4 hours. If you only bake for 2 hours, you'll get uncooked meat.

Yep, I have a monkey mind like they say. I need to do some thought training. The problem is to find a comfortable positon. I'm a very inflexible. I couldn't touch my own toe a year ago. I still can't sit in half lotus yet. When I had abundant sexual energy, it seemed to quiet my body fine. Alan Wallace started trainging in his early twenty. His body wasn't polluted by years of emotional turmoil as me. I bought his book as your recommendation. I'll see if his method works on me. Thanks.

I don't have a teacher. I don't have a fixed method to stabilize and train my attention. My current task is to open my meridian channels. I have blockage at my feet, kneels, hip, back and neck. My long term goal is to be a healer. If I have a choice, I'd like to treat people with depression and mental problem. I don't know what insight I'd get from meditation yet. I don't have a fixed routine yet. It depends on my body reaction and time available. I tend to start with a little whole body shake. Then do a few minutes reverse breathing. Then some breathing excercise or chantting om while focusing on my thired eye. I'll do kunlun (Max) for half hour. Then if I can ran SMCO, I do it. If not, I'll do zhan zhong or some movement qi gong. I used to depend on sexual energy to power my practice. Now after kundalini thing, my libido is non existent. I'm looking for a source of energy that I can utilize. I find mirror gazing while zhan zhong help me stabilize my mind. Thanks for asking.

I really appreciate it, TI, that's very informative. My Kundalini has been activited twice in the past year. It's too late for me to go back to normal. My third eyes was opened during those time. I think it's in dormant state now since I don't see "vision" as before. When I close my eyes and focus the third eye spot. I can see a small bright dot. When I meditate, it sometimes changes time like green or blue purple. Most time it's golden color. If I focus more and do "om", it seem to radiate golden light. Is that normal thing for third eye? Thanks.

I have kind of strange feeling which seems to be a signpost of astral travel: like flash light on my left eyes, buzz sound on my ears, and vibration on my third eye. But I didn't know how to preceed. Maybe someone who's familiar with astral travel can help.

I guess many have pointed out that your understanding of ZZ is so different than everybody in the ZZ practice. My understanding of ZZ is not to build leg muscels. The purpose of ZZ is to open the energy channels for smooth energy transfer. It's not a steel pole concreted in the ground. It's a live tree planted in the ground. ZZ is not for legs only, it's a whole body Qi Gong. -
I want to know what Qi Gong you're practicing.

I have no idea what I talking about. I just repeat what I've read. Qi can't convert back to Jing. The euphoric feeling you have is probably the result of Qi converting to Shen. I also curious about the direction of MCO. I only heard about reverse. I'd like to know what the normal flow would do.

I think so. Eventually one do qiqong by just breathing 24/7. And standing, walking, sitting, talking and sleeping can be practice as well. I'm sorry about your depression. It's so damn hard to deal with. I'm sure you have the fortitude to overcome it. May I suggest nose gazing? I just started it recently. I don't know the long term benefit. It can be done in any position and almost anywhere and anytime. When I'm too lazy to do anything. I lie on my back and do nose gazing. I feel better because i'm doing something to improve myself.

If one doesn't breathe, then one is not alive at all. Zazen is sitting meditation. It should help your Qigong. By default, you accumulate Qi if your mind doesn't wander around.
