So what's the one best book or program to learn to have OBE's? Like anything else - their is too much info. I'm thinking maybe it's some kind of binural beat Monroe type of program - that would give me the quickest results. Also I lucid dream once in a while. Should I go back to mastering that first? Can people really die during an OBE if they can't get back into their body?

Thanks guys. I've been looking up some of the recomendations - and will decide soon. As I understand it, OBE's and lucid dreaming can be used for more than kicks. You can gain insights and carry over what you've learned into the "real" world - making the real world seem not so real. I'm still trying to figure out the scary part....I'm assuming people sometimes see bad entities or maybe demons. I guess if this happens you just stand your ground...because they can't really hurt you. Maybe after a while if you lose your fears of these things - you will have less fear in the real world. So I guess to some extent it takes "balls" to do this. Spiritual balls.

I bet SFQ can cure your problems. I think you said you've tried SFQ. Here's a trick I do to practice as much SFQ as I want Sometimes I miss days and the last thing I want to do is practice. I dread the active exercises because I get uncomfortable and my legs itch. So what I do is I lay down and do a minimum of 1 hour small universe. This is relaxing and you get tons of benefit. Then I stand up and do a minimum of 20 minutes active exercises. Then I lay back down and do anywhere from 20 minutes to another hour. Then I do about 15 minutes of active exercises followed by 15 to 20 minutes of small universe sitting cross legged. I just keep rotating and get a ton of benefit from all the breathing and everything else. The rest of the day I feel tingly and the Chi is flowing good.

Codex Sinaiticus- the rival to the bible
chi 2012 replied to Immortal4life's topic in General Discussion
My Qigong practice has nothing to do with what some spiritual master did or didn't do 2000 years ago. People can get the most out of Qigong without even knowing who people like Jesus and Buddha were.- 9 replies

What somebody did or didn't do - or said or didn't say 2000 years ago has nothing to do with making decisions this moment in the now. It's all irrelevant.- 9 replies

Anytime someone tries to improve themselves in anyway - these techniques can lead a person to higher states of consciousness. Doesn't matter if they are trying to lose weight, regrow hair, manifest a new job...it's all the same. When somebody concentrates on growing more hair - this can be a spiritual technique. They learn that they have control over their body. Someone on a hair growth program might start visualizing more, or meditating more...All good things. They might meet someone in a hair loss clinic who recomends a certain meditation technique - and the person might become enlightened. A person could cure their baldness - gain some confidence - and then one day use the same mindset to cure themselves of cancer. Maybe they will regrow more hair - and attract a hot spiritual wife - and the hot wife teaches the man tantra. The man could one day become enlightened because of this.

You really take 5 times the standard dose of Propecia? That's crazy. I tried propecia once and noticed it was messing with my sex drive - so I stopped. I bet some of these herbal Propecia alternatives can be just as effective. The FDA only does their double blind studies on drugs - so people think drugs are the only things that work. The same with cancer - according to the FDA only drugs can cure cancer. There's a nutritional cure for cancer called Gerson therapy - and the FDA and the powers that be try and surpress this info.

So will practicing Qigong for 2 to 3 hours a day get rid of these problems - even if still don't live and eat perfect?

I know Chunyi Lin has said that most people don't get enough sleep - and that they need more sleep. Meditation seems to be the best way for people to effectively not sleep as much.

I think I have similiar hair as you - and started a thread a while back. Hair seems to thin for weird reasons. One thing I did around new years is I went to a hair stylist and dyed the whole top blond - but kept the sides dark. I've been getting a lot of hair compliments. People say I look young. Combat it from multiple angles. Here's some suggestions. Stand on your head everyday to let the blood go to your head. Or just hang over the side of your bed. Massage head for ten minutes everyday. After massaging - pull on your hair for a few minutes. Don't jack off. Spring Forest Qigong. Lasercomb. Guided hypnosis tape to regrow hair. A guy named Tom Haggerty has these scalp exercises that some people swear by. Look him up. Just go at it from many possible angles.

I feel most at peace during airplane turbulance - so thoughts like this calm me.

Richard Bartlett of Matrix Energetics seems to have super powers. He says its all quantum physics stuff though. Maybe one day I will have quantum powers like him.

Just knowing the difference between facts and beliefs has always been a huge eye opener for me. No need to discard beliefs if they work for you. http://www.youtube.c...h?v=qySx8tSs8BQ

From a quantum physics point of view - that is awesome. Inside your hologram - you managed to create the illusion of kettlebels, your kid, nausea, taobums, etc... And you convinced yourself that it is all real! That is powerful...Congrats. Inside my hologram - I created you making this post that I am replying too. I am powerful too!

Taoism/Zen in relation to "spiritual methods"
chi 2012 replied to skydog's topic in General Discussion
I've noticed that Qigong tends to have beliefs but Zen doesn't. For example in Qigong you have to believe in the Chi, the Master or Diety the Chi is coming from, blockages turning into smoke etc...then the mystical powers some people get. Zen is more no nosense - "Just the facts Ma'am". Personally I combine both. -
I think I sometimes scare Christians when I talk about Qigong - so I did some googling and I found this http://www.lausanne.org/en/documents/all/nairobi-2000/203-chinese-case-study.html I'm trying to figure out what this guy did to have such bad experiences - to end up trading Qigong for religion. I'm not saying religion is all bad - Qigong can sometimes increase peoples faith. I'm now thinking the story might be made up or embellished.

I wish I would of known it was good not to blow my wad all the time when I was 18. All my teachers in school and everything I heard when I was a teenager was "Masturbation is normal and healthy".
-
I think what Chunyi Lin was probably saying is that once somebody has been practicing SFQ for a while - and has built up a lot of energy - that 20 minutes of Full Lotus Small Universe would be just as powerful as 4 hours sitting in a chair. Because the Full Lotus activates the Small Universe on its own.

Anybody ever read David Hawkins stuff? He uses kiniesology to calibrate things - and says that most organized religion always calibrates high - and that athiesm calibrates really low. He also calibrates Republicans as having more integrity than Democrats.

Creative visualization is taught wrong. Teachers from The Secret like Mike Dooley say to visualize for 5 minutes a day and then to forget about it. This is magical thinking and doesn't work. For visualization to work you have to visualize over and over and keep the thought constantly in your head. The following is from Michael Misitas book "How to beleive in Nothing and set yourself free". This is how he manifested what he wanted: I had been told by a teacher whose name was Neville that"what is profoundly spiritual is also very practical," so I decided to put my beliefs into practical application, so that when I imagined something in my mind, it would produce itself in the world. I put images up on a bulletin board of all the things I wanted. I told myself if I truly believed these things about myself, my life, and the world and held true to those beliefs, keeping them constantly in mind, then I would produce them in my life. I was reconditioning myself to thinking positively, to thinking I can have anything I can visualize: a new car, a new life, a wonderful relationship, anything I want if I only believe it. And I did-I produced all of it. I even started visualizing certain statements I wanted other people to say about me. For example, I was workingout a lot, going to a gym and building myself up physically. Having always been thin and very self-conscious about it,I wanted to hear someone say, "God, you look great! You've really built yourself up. " The next day, a total stranger walked up to me, hesitated, then turned to me and said, word for word, what I wanted to hear. When I realized how much my thoughts influenced the world, it frightened me for a while, but I continued visualizing over and over again. I learned so much from doing this. I realized that everytime we believe anything, we produce it in the world. Now it's not necessarily produced exactly the way we imagine, the basic belief is produced relative to the motive behind it. We bring our experiences into our life by believing them into existence.

Maybe other people are getting into the fights and acting out what you are visualizing. I don't know all the specifics - but I think most "brutal" crimes are actually fantasized about on occasion my most people. Most people won't admit this though. But only a few of these people actually go through with these acts. Also these natural disasters are happening. Just not in your area.

Chunyi Lin says that 20 minutes of full lotus is equal to 4 hours of any other type of meditation. haha

So I have this refrigerator in my apartment that I accidently unplugged around Christmas. It's still unplugged but has some food in it. I'm not looking forward to opening it and cleaning it. Any tips or actions steps I can make to make this as painless as possible?

Warden: Bubba - why did you rape Steve again? I thought we talked about this. Bubba: I'm sorry Waaden. I thought me having lucid dream again. I can't seem to tell what is real anymoo.
