"Normals" Haha. First one would have to determine what constitutes normal. Comparison normally leaves someone a loser and the way I see it there aren't any in this case. "It is our choices...that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities". J.K. Rowling The "Normals" just might be holding out for a more informed choice. They just might be holding out for a teacher and a technique that's above reproach, time tested by many consumers to ensure product effectiveness and determine possible side-effects. "Your most unhappy customers are your greatest source of learning". Bill Gates They're watching and pay attention to what we're doing of that I have no doubt. If the "Normals" truly need it and when the time is right for them they'll jump on board...consider that their path just might be clearer and quick quicker and far easier than ours.

Candy creates a good feel too. And chocolate. Having some candy hidden in a drawer to share when folks come and visit works really well. Consider, leaving a piece of wrapped candy on the desk of someone you feel is having a bad day. It's always a nice surprise when someone thinks of you and wants to share with you. And it doesn't have to be candy...fruits or veggies that you've grown in your garden, homemade cookies, crafts...whatever. When you work in a "team" environment it's nice to get along with everyone. Not taking someone else's bad day personally is a must and understanding how most of it is stress related is really important so you don't end up hating them for it. Most of the time folks don't feel a connection with those they work with. Good managers encourage getting to know the rest of the staff but if they haven't done their part then this may be a way for folks to relax for a moment and really look at you...and when they look at you then you really get to see them too. It's always worked positively for me...and I didn't think of it because I've always done it and it's always been part of every "team" work environment I've been in. All it takes is one person to start and everyone else ends up sharing too.

"And I said to the man who stood at the gate of the year: Give me a light that I may tread safely into the unknown. And he replied: Go out into the darkness and put your hand into the hand of God. That shall be to you better than light, and safer than a known way." - Minnie L. Haskins All the best for 2009! Love, Gloria

"What is Christmas? It is tenderness for the past, courage for the present, hope for the future. It is a fervent wish that every cup may overflow with blessings rich and eternal, and that every path may lead to peace." - Agnes M. Pharo Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday. xxoo g.

Are you sure? Chris said he wouldn't do that...that he wouldn't give up. I don't think he'd joke about something like this as it truly seems to be the only way to end the hostility. Otherwise again as I said before, it would just continue to show how comfortable everyone is with this mess, and Max just continues to be slandered. Later edit... StarJumper never did get to meet Max. Chris embellished all this too.

If you are not already doing so then I'd suggest making stillness meditation part of your daily practice. It will help you relax while you are waiting for the book. Seriously...Kunlun will lead you to stillness so consider sitting quietly in the meantime. If the movements don't start up right away it will establish a foundation of sorts to help you not get frustrated and give up.

And Starjumper.... GO! Don't miss this opportunity to meet Max at Starbuck's! GO! You'll have fun and be really glad you allowed yourself to be there. If Chris is there too let him pay for the coffees.

Jenny Lamb can present another spontaneous qi jong seminar in January or February 2009 in Colorado (where she has an established school) or any other location if someone is willing to organize it and invite her to teach. If you are interested in organizing a seminar, or wished to be placed on her mailing list please contact her via email at: [email protected]

Smile? Would you please elaborate on why you felt that you were part of an experiment? Who was irresponsible? Max for teaching it, or you for not telling others you had quit practicing after a few months, and even so continued to speak highly of Max and the practices encouraging others at times to stick with it? Did you only practice Kunlun and not RP? Is this something that you are feeling now only in retrospect? I remember reading that you went to a handful of seminars and devoted lots of dirt time toward these arts...I'd really appreciate any feedback you are willing to share. Thank you.
