Today I had the day off. In the backa my yarda this morning practicing. Beautiful sunshiny day. Protection check first - Stillness-Movement for a bit, then moved into Gift of the Tao. Attracted woodpeckers and sparrows. They landed close to me and were visible on the oak tree. One (woodpecker, huge fella) landed on a small tree so close I could have reached out and touched it. We made eye contact. Pleasant peaceful feeling....practiced for a bit then paid my respect to the oak tree. All the while woodpeckers and sparrows about..uninterested and not alarmed by me. Moved away from the tree to my original spot and practiced some more until I felt the stillness. I focused on your question then and asked the Earth. Wasps immediately became visible around me. One started circling really close and then went kamikaze trying to get into my face, repeatedly pinging off of it, and my neck and shoulders. Question brought a sick feeling in my stomach as well as an all over body shudder...my hands wove side to side and I heard "burn". I didn't see anything. My eyes were wide looking at nothing in paticular...when outside I sometimes see "snow" - little particles floating about...especially when I look at the sky. But...I didn't see anything change when I asked...just felt it...like it was me responding to something with distaste.

Ah gees...my godson is getting married on October 17th. I'll be practicing beer qigong that weekend. I'm interested in learning more about the long distance healing for my folks though...how would/does all that work exactly...is more info presented somewhere else that I could read about it?

And by the way...gentle belly breathing did not work to alleviate any of my physical symptoms. Added: Jenny Lamb finally did answer me: "As for the cold sensations in one's body, it may be the result of many reasons. Such as there is negative energy in the body, or unwholesome entity in the body, or damp and coldness in the body. In any case, one should, through practice or through proper diet or food therapy, remove them, in order to heal the body. It will take some time, but it can be done."

And Dan, what made you think you were qualified to answer this person's questions? Max hadn't even answered some of them, hadn't gone over them thoroughly with us... what made you think that you would be able to speak for Max? And...you don't see a problem with that?

Yes. Create an awareness of what one can expect. There are discrepencies in regards to practice procedures and no support/guidance for problems one runs into via practice. As well as no one knowledgeable to answer your questions. People should be aware of that before choosing this teacher or these practices.
