  1. After 3 months in this group, I can safely say that I am unlikely to succeed in cultivation without the support from telegram/discord group. For me, the balance between over/under exercising was the key to generating the heat in the lower dantian. What I considered light exercise turned out to be too much for my present health condition. Everyone is different, therefore the variables that affect cultivation are different and will change as you progress, and this is where individual guidance is essential. If Rudi didnā€™t correct my many mistakes, my progress would be much slower. Cultivation is my lifeā€™s passion, so Ā£50/month is an incredible deal. For anyone hesitating because of a monthly subscription, just consider how much money you spend on weed šŸ˜›.
  2. I took Rudiā€™s November neigong class and it was seriously the best decision of my life. Iā€™ve previously studied with many masters over the last 12 years, and this is the first time Iā€™ve encountered ā€œno bullshitā€ instructions on how to actually cultivate the lower dantian. Iā€™ve practices many techniques from the popular teachers out there who claim their system cultivates the lower dantian, but Iā€™ve never succeeded. The practices are very simple, just 3 sets of exercises, easy to fit into any kind of schedule, and very effective. Just 2 weeks of the stillness practice and the many qi sensations Iā€™ve previously experienced had stopped, and now I just feel gentle heat in the lower abdomen. The waigong practice is what I love the most. Iā€™ve felt noticeable improvement in my other qigong practice as a result of the waigong, especially when doing hand movements. Itā€™s really effective, and I canā€™t wait to see what happens after 6 months. The neigong part is what weā€™re all here for, itā€™s very simple and easy. I canā€™t tell what kind of effect it has yet, but itā€™s only been 2 weeks so I will report back if anything changes. It worked for Rudi, so I trust that it will work for me. The greatest benefit Iā€™ve gotten is actually changing my sleep habits. For a very long time, Iā€™ve been sleeping past 2am. After Rudi explained the relationship between sleep, diet, exercise, and neigong progress, I switched my sleep schedule to 11pmā€¦ something I havenā€™t been able to do for decades. Iā€™ve always considered my diet to be pretty good, but Iā€™m now making some small changes to make it better. These lifestyle changes may seem minor, but Iā€™ve notice a big difference already (not gonna go into the gory details of my bathroom experiences). Best of all, Rudi is an excellent and patient teacher, very generous with his knowledge. There is no fluff in the class, everything he covers is succinct and vital to progress in neigong. I recommend this course for anyone interested in neigong, get in before before itā€™s too late. Itā€™s difficult to manage a huge group, so I donā€™t expect these classes to be offered forever.
  3. Iā€™m not aware of the 9th jhana because he never covered it, but if you can phrase your question in Chinese, I can ask him. I donā€™t speak Mandarin so itā€™s hard to ask questions that are difficult to translate.
  4. Just adding my 2 cents. This is information that I learned from my grandmaster during a meditation retreat. There are 8 levels of samadhi (jhana), 4 in the form realm and 4 in the formless realm. But before getting into the jhanas, there are 4 levels in the desire realm. Different meditation methods all lead to samadhi but gives different results depending on the approach. Nei Dan makes the body very strong and healthy. Wai Dan (as in the meditationā€¦ not ingesting any physical elixirs) is for attaining siddhiā€™s. Both daoist methods will lead to the 4th jhana at most. Chan meditation is for removing the root cause of suffering, negative emotions, and cultivates wisdom. Chan will lead to the 8th jhana. However, Chan is a very difficult and slow process compared to the 2 Daoist methods. No matter the method, the minimum requirement to reach the 1st jhana is 6 hours of straight sitting per day (even in nei Dan, it takes minimum 6 hours to form the elixir). Certain physical and psychological changes will occur in each stage and that is the indicator of success. As for whether Chan meditation produces physical changes in the body, it does but not on the same level as Nei Dan. A Chan practitioner can still get sick whereas a Nei Dan practitioner who reached the immortal stage wonā€™t. In terms of health and energy, the Doaist approach is superior. In terms of meditative states, Buddhism is superior.
  5. Moving house, space clearing

    No, all daoist.
  6. Moving house, space clearing

Haha I wish I knew the more badass talismans like that. Too bad my master only taught me the tame stuff like healing, exorcism, feng shui, luck, and clearing negative energy. Yeah now that you mention it, I wouldnā€™t give some random guy on a forum a pic of my house either. Just ignore my last post, got a lil excited to experiment. šŸ˜… Burning sage should do the job just fine. (Funny thingā€¦ one of the talismans I learned is for protection from storms)
  7. Moving house, space clearing

If you send me a picture of the house, I can try clearing it remotely with talismans. Iā€™ve never tried it on a house before so thereā€™s no guarantee, but it works on people, so theoretically it should work.
  8. Your opinion about reiki?

Self delusion is rampant among the new agers. People get offended when I mention reiki causing healerā€™s disease. The problem is that they donā€™t even acknowledge it as a problem. They make excuses of why they are suffering and wear it like a badge of honor. If I had a dollar every time I hear ā€œIā€™m an empathā€, I could retire.
  9. Your opinion about reiki?

Reiki, and any system of channeling (such as pranic healing), has long term negative side effects because it causes your energetic ā€œopen/closeā€ system to stay open all the time. Think of it like a filter to block negative qi from invading, while preventing your own qi from leaking. In the beginning, people will feel great because their channels are more open. They can also quickly develop psychic sensitivity and can feel peopleā€™s emotions. Later on, they start to pick up bad vibes from specific people or places, whether they want to or not. They feel uncomfortable around sick people, or places with a lot of negative energy, like hospitals. Once the energy field stays open all the time, they are randomly leaking qi while absorbing negative qi from people or the environment. A common complaint is ā€œfeeling drainedā€ and blaming it on their clients when they are actually leaking qi. In the late stages, reiki practitioners can actually send out their own qi instead of channeling it. Since the filter is no longer functioning, the type of qi that enter/exit canā€™t be controlled. Sometimes it works fine, sometimes they channel negative qi, sometimes they absorb negative qi while giving away their own qi. Itā€™s random. This is called ā€œhealerā€™s diseaseā€ and it only happens to serious practitioners. Someone who only does reiki on weekends wonā€™t get this disease. Iā€™m talking full time job doing reiki for 5, 10, maybe 20 years. How quickly it happens depends on the constitution; the more energetically sensitive the person, the quicker it develops. I know so many reiki practitioners and Iā€™ve never seen a case where this didnā€™t happen.
  10. Hi everyone, I read many posts about having Eric Isen test the effects of certain qigong practices. Iā€™m wondering if some can share their experiences with Eric? Do you practice each qigong exercise with him on the phone while he analyzes the effects? Or does he tune into your energy and see the individual/combined effects of all your practices while you just do nothing?
  11. Hi, I was wondering if anyone know of any sleeping qigong/shui gong teachers in the USA? I tried contacting Dragon Gate in NY and Michael Lomax's website but received no replies. Besides them, does anyone know of any other teachers? Thanks!
  12. sleeping qigong/shui gong teachers in USA?

Thanks everyone for your input. I am a newbie in qigong, and i have been doing wuji and zhan zhong everyday for 3 years. I never plan to stop my daytime practice, but I want to extend my practice to the night. I would love it even more if it came with a complete system to do during daytime to avoid any potential problems with mixing different systems. Michael, thanks for your post. i am very interested in your stillness movement neigong and i will contact you.
