  1. The cruelty of nature

If you do not suffer, then I bow down to you and hope you can bless me oh liberated one.
  2. Have you not seen it Marblehead. The Mahamudra Masters call it the sameness of all things. All things being the same. Unification of all things.
  3. The cruelty of nature

Let suffering be your fire of desire to find the truth.
  4. Hi 4bsolute. I believe it is only half of it. Separate heaven and earth then combine them. Separate heaven and earth, you separate the formless from the form, the pure awareness from thoughts as you describe. But the next part is to combine heaven and earth, which is the unification of awareness and thoughts. With the unification of awareness and thoughts there can be no difference or distinction made between thoughts and awareness. The most important thing to remember is that there is actually no difference between the state of no thoughts and the state of thoughts. There is only a difference if the mind makes a judgement that they are actually separate or different from one another. If you believe that there is a difference between thoughts and pure awareness then you're acting from a perception based on a belief. I want to say that thoughts are not the enemy, but are responsible for most of our suffering. When you see and experience that thoughts and no thought are the same in the moment, the thought will give up its energy to you and sink you deeper into yourself. I hope you find this helpful, if not please disregard what I have said.
  5. Meditation

I agree, although your mind may me moving, keeping the body absolutely still is a good first practice. See how long you can go without moving your body.
  6. The cruelty of nature

Yes it is cruel. This cruelness is what drives my desire for the liberation of myself and others.
  7. some dimwit of a monk

How so? Why would clinging to the thoughtless state lead to an untimely death?
  8. The Killer Instinct

The killer instinct is awakened in me when a family member is threatened. However it is not awakened when I am threatened.
  9. aspect of when power does not corrupt

Existence just doesn't make any sense.
  10. some dimwit of a monk

I would say it is somewhat pointing towards the truth. But if you cling to the thoughtless state it is still not it, as you are rejecting the thoughts for the thoughtless. Still there is aversion to something.
  11. What is the force that keeps us unconscious ?

I think its your own desire.
  12. Spirituality has to go

Hi, For me its about lessening my own suffering and the suffering of those around me. I have definitely become more in control of my own desires, thoughts, emotions and actions. Instead of being led by unconscious desires, thoughts, emotions and actions, I have more conscious choice to carry them out or not. Of course I still have work to do in this regard. By having a choice you're able to free yourself from bad decisions that would ultimately lead to further suffering.
  13. Yeshe Lama Thogal book?

  14. I stumbled across Luo Dong's channel on youtube and wanted to share with my fellow taobums. Luo Dong gives free massage in order to educate people to live a healthier life. I enjoyed reading his advice and watching his work. He uses certain energy techniques and seems to be of a Chinese Buddhist/Taoist background. I hope you can enjoy his channel and wish him all the best as he seems to be helping many people. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFCkNUjnIRTFdLuUy63yIHg/feed

  20. Freedom, the way out...

If your own nature it here right now? What must one do to find it?
  21. Freedom, the way out...

Shouldn't at least there be some desire to find the truth? I know I had a very strong desire which has propelled me..
  22. Freedom, the way out...

    You win.
  23. Freedom, the way out...

I agree with you. When we are not trying to do anything we are still doing 'something'. Just that 'something' is living spontaneously.
  24. Here's another burning question

There is an 'I' if you think there is an 'I'
