Maybe infinite in possibilities with extremely limited being one of them.

It could be suggested that all is placebo, as all is mind.

Yes I am. I cannot change at the moment. So I guess I will accept being drained.
-
I am always feeling tired when I wake up in the morning from sleep. Some people at work always comment that I look drained. I am a shift worker and believe this has something to do with it. What would you prescribe me do to feel refreshed after I wake up?

I have to agree though, getting someone to heal themselves is a lot more preferable than just doing it for them if that's possible.

Have you ever had a real (not imagination) out of body experience? Some people describe on the brink of the energy body decoupling from the physical that they're sucked out from the naval area. Also on the brink of going out of body, certain physical sensations can be enormous. I have experienced a similar thing where it felt like I was being pulled out of my body and it was very frightening because I was totally unprepared for it. I have never had an out of body experience myself where I have been lucid. http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/ciencia/astral_dynamics/astral_dynamics.htm

Thanks very much for your replies. So even if you feel yourself humming and vibrating all over (I am guessing that this is chi I am feeling), and direct it in to someone, holding the intent to heal, there is no way of overloading their system?

Apparently the space of spirit is directly between and behind the eyes. Now when I touch the space of spirit I can feel the lower dantian go completely relaxed. I originally thought I was pushing the awareness to outside of the body but it was actually going into the space behind the eyes. When touched I find it very easy to stay in no mind, where no thoughts arise. I'm interested if anyone else has experience this.

Meditation is not a good way for practising

Is it because each psych is wired differently with many different connections that trigger other connections to infinity. -
What came to mind was, are people upset when someone dies that inflicted serious pain and suffering on them, compared to one that brought joy and happiness.

Its seems though that this fire seems to be directly between the lungs in the thymus gland. A year or so ago when I first experienced it I got very worried that I was going to spontaneously combust, that's how much heat was felt, like a real fire in the chest. However there was no pain at all. I have learnt to surrender to it as its just a side effect of the meditation. I am still unsure about this metta, I have never heard of it before, so I need to research more into it. Looking at wiki it seems like loving without clinging. Recently I fell in love with this girl. So much so I was starting to suffer because of this attachment. In the end I surrendered to loving her without conditions. This was hard to let go, but she taught me a very valuable life lesson. Truly unconditional love without expecting anything in return.

No I don't think so. I have felt intense fire and heat there, without any pain. I have concentrated on it before and felt a lot of energy release which feels a lot different to the fire. But in terms of actually moving into it, I don't think so. The weird thing is, this fire has started in the heart without even concentrating on it. I don't know much about this stuff. I just got recently interested in it as most of the time I look at non-dual meditation.

Yes I am very open to that possibility. Also I want to add that normally the fire starts in areas that I am not even concentrating on. For example, yesterday the soles of my feet went hot and I rarely focus on them at all.

Is doing without thinking, wu-wei?

When someone goes into shock, a lot of the time it has been reported that they feel no pain. Could an extreme event causing shock actually be violently making someone extremely awake so that pain has no hold of them? Just a random thought to throw around.

Thank you for all your pointers. I seem to have had a lot of fire in the mingmen, but not the LDT. I have felt the same fire to a greater extent in the MDT. Maybe I am mistaking the mingmen heat for the LDT. The spot seems directly in between the kidneys, touching the spinal cord.
-
The attention seems to touch it. I think you know you have touched it when you feel like you have touched nothing. The breathing seems to slow right down and nearly stop.
-
Now that I think of it, all of my life I have had these sensations called spinal shivers. I guess everyone has felt them. The classic term when someone is scared is 'it sent shivers up my spine'. Anyway I had a shiver before and it seemed to originate from the mingmen and travel simultaneously downwards to the tail bone and up towards the brain.
-
Sorry for bumping, but for some reason I am being pointed to look more into the mingmen. How does one know when the mingmen is felt by the awareness/attention?

Unfortunately I just have books and the internet coupled with a lot of experimentation during non-dual meditation. I do believe the universe finds ways of teaching you, as life becomes your greatest teacher, you just have to be open to take notice.

Yes this thought did cross my mind. It seems to bring the energy into the MDT. However when I do reverse breathing, I seem to get a lot of heat in the MDT. I'm not sure if its the same as embryonic breathing, but it feels like the air is coming from the bottom up, instead of the air coming from the top then down, when the breath is taken in.
