  11. A call for a revolution

I've been watching this since it came out. I felt I should share it with all of you. I disliked Russell Brand until I watched this video. Watch this for a good laugh, and this could end up being the most important youtube video of all time. Please I ask you share this on your twitter, facebook, and or myspace account.
  12. A call for a revolution

Well I can't say i know enough about philosophy to carry in informed argument. As you can tell I like to win. Though I can't get better until I practice. You wern't pushing my buttons Brian. I just like to argue with people, and when people mess up like mis quote me, or w.e I will capitalize on that error and strike viciously. If you caught me doing that I'm sure you would of said the same things I said to you.
  13. A call for a revolution

I was never upset. I just like a strong argument.
  14. A call for a revolution

I'll still be your friend though Brian.
  15. A call for a revolution

Ignoring. I don't care to argue with you. You make up arguments, and misquote people, in the academic world that is a big no no. You spent 20to 30 minutes writing about sports and small business owners. I have no time for you.
  16. A call for a revolution

Incase anyone is wondering the red inside the quotes are also from me.
  17. A call for a revolution

If it said you were viewing this thread, than after my remark you were not longer viewing this forum doesn't that mean you were here and left, and not just letting your mobile device stay on the page? Than I defended him. I showed you evidence of him donating a significant amount of money to a family who had suffered a tragedy. Than explained that he has worked for many years to get to his position and also to diffuse your privileged hypocrite accusation. You say he is a hypocrite, can you explain your reasoning for this? He has money and he power, he is using it to voice for change, to bring money back to the needy and the poor. I don't understand how you are so confused. Offers no solution? I than finish my argument with this quote "You must not have watched the video, he states he isn't trying to come up with a Utopian government in a hotel room during an interview. He is using his power, fame, and his time to point out there are people who are more qualified than him and "more importantly" more qualified than the people currently running the world." You claimed Russell hit him with his vehicle. Russell struck his cart full of recyclables which he than helped the man gather afterwards. If Russell would of struck this man with his SUV, I'm quite sure they wouldn't of been picking up trash, it was only after this homeless man learned who Russell was that he decided to claim he had injuries. This is getting pathetic Brian. Bravo this is what I was hoping for, a discussion and not personal attacks. "so that people start taking care of themselves & each other again rather than expecting some anonymous government to do it for them." You say you want people to help each other instead of the government. So wouldn't these aristocrats with all the money be able to help us? Or do they get to keep the money to themselves? I see you have no problem with poor people helping out poor people but when we talk about the rich helping poor people, that's where you draw the line? And you called Brand a hypocrite. Thank you for the history lesson, You fully understood my use of the word, so don't play stupid. I love your use of big words, but anyone can use a dictionary when they have google to help. Please refrain from trying so hard to appear smart. If you provide a thoughtful and intelligent argument free from personal attacks, and fabricated stories you will appear to be intelligent. You're doing better, but if this is your best work. An argument littered with false quotations, blunt lies, personal attacks mixed in with a few big words you looked up, and seasoned with ignorance. I will no longer respond to your comments and I suggest everyone else does the same. Are you sure you want to continue to "discuss" with me? I'm not even trying, you are making yourself look like a fool. - personal attack.
  18. A call for a revolution

Watch the video. Some of these are good arguments and I completely agree with you but as I said before. People are unaware of what's going on. Watching this video explains this to them. This video is for these people you speak about. If you want to see some change than share this video. Get fucking excited bro. These are exciting times and the sooner this video gets exposed the sooner things will change. MGG I spent to much time today on this. Good day and for the last time, watch the video and quit being so gosh darn stubborn about everything.
  19. A call for a revolution

Watch the video.. I will not quote the video again. Russell explains the significance of this. That's why it's important that this video be shared and viewed as much as possible. Again I don't understand why you are confused on this. This video has the potential to REACH these people, to expose the lies that are happening in front of them. I never quoted a history book. Now you are making things up. You are trying to win an argument that we both agree on. If you watched the video you would understand. You are getting frustrated and taking it out on me. If you reply again with more chewed up jargon I will not reply. Please watch the video, come back than come argue with me. Until than you are really wasting my time.
  20. A call for a revolution

There is no reason to get upset, I didn't say happy people revolted. Are you saying people are happy today? Is that why there is so much medication being prescribed? Is that why so many people are using drugs? Is that why so many people are in prison? I'm not sure why we are arguing. People are pissed, people just don't know what's going on. This video does that, this video can wake people up. You have an A list celebrity, you have the video being broadcast everywhere, and it explains in detail the problems with what's going on. It's the perfect way to wake up people who are tuned into to tv. Again, watch the video. I'm confused on why you are confused.
  21. A call for a revolution

That's not true, I'm a history major and people have revolted before. Did you not see the protests in Egypt, and what was it Spain? I'm not sure but anyways people are waking up, watch the effing video. All your arguements will be answered that's why I posted the video. Good! Keep up the fight my man. That's not true, I will tell you how to guide sheep into a revolution. I saw a ted talk on it. It's not the first person that starts the revolution, it's the 2nd guy. The first guy can stand up and look like an idiot and everyone will laugh, but when a second person comes, he solidifies the idea that, "wait a minute, there might be something to this". When people see the 2nd, or in the case the first couple million views, they will the same exact thing. Than when it's becoming the new "trend" people rush to join so that they are not "left behind" This is about getting this video across, because it is so intelligently spoken, few arguments are left unanswered. Both these man were smart, and the reporter tried everything he could to make Brand look foolish. He tried what Brian did earlier, but Brand had a question and a logical reason for everything. There's gold in this video. I feel it. Again if you watch the video, Brand will be able to explain this. Until you watch MPG please don't reply. I want someone to argue with who knows what we are arguing about. You can't see the world revolution and than just spit of bunch of jargon. I mean you can... but it's really wasting both of our time and we could spend that time changing the world. Have a good day.
  22. A call for a revolution

I respect you MPG so I will reply to you on this. Did you watch the video? I feel you shrugged it off without giving it a real listen. I'll even bold the important parts. Direct quote from Brand, "Remember that – yeah, totally, there’s gonna be a revolution, it’s totally going to happen. I ain’t got even a flicker of doubt. This is the end. This is time to wake up. I remember I seen you in that program where you look at your ancestors and you saw the way your grandmother would have to brass herself or had to have got fucked over by the aristocrats who ran her gaff, and you cried because you knew that it was unfair and unjust. And that was, what was that, a century ago? That’s happening to people now. I just come from a woman who’s being treated like that. I just been talking to a woman today who’s being treated like that. So if we can engage that feeling, instead of some moment of lachrymose sentimentality trotted out on the TV for people to pore over emotional porn, if we can engage that feeling and change things, why wouldn’t we? Why is that naive? Why is that not my right because I’m an actor? I mean, I, I’ve taken the right. I don’t need the right from you. I don’t need the right from anybody. I’m taking it." Sheep need a Shepard, if you sit back and do nothing you are just as much to blame. The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. Edmund Burke I can pull quotes off in the internet as well.
  23. A call for a revolution

    Ignoring. Quit derailing.
  24. A call for a revolution

No more derailing, I would like to redirect to the topic of this discussion on the idea of a revolution. What do you see wrong with the government? What would you like seen done? Would you partake in a revolution? Who are the aristocrats running things? These are the types of questions I was hoping to see not to read fabricated stories from Brian and attacks on a man's past. We are talking about the future, and only a conservative aristocrat who is "privileged" would come on here and try to attack the idea of helping starving poor people. I see Brian is typing another argument, I will not respond and I ask that no matter what he says about Russell Brand, you all just ignore it. That goes with any other post who is here not to contribute to the health of our planet, but to attack a man who has done nothing but work hard, get rich, and use his riches to help the people.
  25. A call for a revolution

First I want to point out that you have been researching for the last 3 hours, only to attack his childhood. Bravo Brian, you spent half a day trying to make Russel Brand look like a junkie. Though this is widely known already. Now you describe what he has done with his career, lets see he started out poor and oppressed. He is a comedian who has his own personal views and ideas that don't match up with what the media wants to portray? I would of never seen that coming. (HEAVY SARCASM) Oh great you researched how much he is worth, one thing you do not know. In order to maintain "star" status you must keep up appearances. No matter how famous you are, it is not possible to live in a shanty house and still be a celebrity. You are missing the point that he is using his fame and money and time to help OTHER PEOPLE! He has nothing to gain from a revolution, he already lives in luxury so why are you attacking him? Now I will attack you.. Don't come into a conversation with fabricated stories. Russell Brand never ran into anyone, he ran into a homeless persons cart, which was full of recyclables. Brand was seen to have helped the man gather his belongings. Did you consider that maybe this man saw a nice vehicle and thought to himself "payday"? I will no longer reply to any of your commments due to the fact you can't make a valid argument so you decided to post untrue, unproven details of a story you have no idea about. Don't worry I know you wish you had those 3 hours back as well. Just for good measure here is a fluff piece. "Ironically, the Get Him to the Greek star has become known for his charitable gestures for the homeless of late - in September (12), he treated a group of displaced locals to breakfast in Los Angeles, while he invited another male into his apartment for a bath and a home-cooked meal". He also is behind the charity Free Tibet. Can we now discuss the video and call for a revolution. I'm not going to waste my time talking about a celebrities past, I would rather talk about a man who is trying to help our planet, and all of it's inhabitants.
