i am all for responsibility, but i try to have mine come from a sense of what i feel to be my own personal balance and not a "drugs are always bad m'kay" learned morality. Altered perception is useful or else people wouldn't find value in meditation, they would just live their lives.

oh i agree with you, and this belief very much works for ME but some people will create a meaning, and that answer is just as valid as a non answer

be careful not to place ones self on a pedestal for being "gloriously courageous"

No one will ever get the reward because even if it was debunked the debunkers would just be ignored. Conspiracy theorists are never the type to admit they are wrong when presented with evidence stronger than their own. i can admit when i am being stupid though, such as how i continue to post in this thread with argumentative posts.
