This is some seriously excellent advice, the whole post. Wish i had this information exactly 1 year ago i would probably still have friends. Also, this works wonders and is very powerful. If you have a memory of a time when someone acted desirably, imagine them acting that way instead of holding the image in your mind of them acting negatively. You will see them start to be more like that. Its not like you are controlling them, you are just allowing yourself to view their positive qualities and they pick up on that vibe and allow themselves to chill out. There are negative sides to this, but it is situational. Experiment for yourself

i think the problem with the ignore function is that a lot of the time when people are trolling, they also have some good posts that i would like to continue seeing. i have a personal code of no blocklists when it comes to all my online accounts

i think it is a great idea, mostly in regards to trolling. i think if someone wants to post some off topic philosphical stuff it would be more free if they were allowed to, BUT if someone disagrees they could have one post to publically disagree, and if the discussion needs to continue it could be another thread. So create side threads for arguments and clean up off topic posts. i'm for post deletions and warnings for off topic, bans for trolling. i'm voting yes but by voting yes, i am voting for my description in this post i don't think it will help the general attitude of some, but i think it will make the board more readable. really don't like digging through peoples pettyness to get information in threads...
