As far as discussing anything with you is concerned; it's a really good way.
-
Still a bit ambiguous. From Urban Dictionary; - Yes. Occam's Razor in-deed.

a dualistic singularity and the natural manner(Wu Wei)...

Yes. You not only quoted from a different thread but you quoted completely out of context. -

Again, I haven't got the faintest idea what you're talking about. -
Everything's that can be said is relative. And I'm beginning to prefer neti neti myself.

I didn't say that. I said something very different. Here's the actual post: - Sounds scary............... That's OK.......... It's quite a challenging read......... Thanks anyway ET........ -
I'm speechless......................

Sounds a bit like Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hilary.

Did I happen to mention Three Dialogues between Hylas and Philonous in opposition to Sceptics and Atheists?
-
Eureka!! You're beginning to see that that you don't choose your thoughts.
-
It's a little more complex and subtle than that but you certainly shouldn't confuse yourself with the facts by reading it yourself if you've already made up your mind.

Because you said: - ".. beware of the definitions and distinctions used and how they be used, least your quest to find out, leads you into a captivating cave of shadows and dancing lights... which induces forgetting the truth and embracing something else..." "Beware..............least (sic)" gave the game away........... Most people probably wouldn't say, "Beware of the sweet little kitten lest it purrs sweetly." I don't have the faintest idea what you're talking about here.......... It was a challenging and fascinating adventure for me - but it may be an exercise in futility for you. You won't know unless you read it. Even then, you may disagree. If so, feel free to do so - I'm not selling anything here. Three Dialogues is already the best that Berkely could do in simplifying his own earlier work (A Treatise Concerning the Principles of Human Knowledge) and I've given the link to the best annotated version that I came across in my own travels. I think that it's a more helpful answer to mYTHmAKER's question than "Condensed energy...." but I guess that's up to mYTHmAKER to decide.

You'll find the answer to that here: - Three Dialogues between Hylas and Philonous in opposition to Sceptics and Atheists George Berkeley www.earlymoderntexts.com/pdf/berkdial.pdf

It can be Known - it cannot be understood. If you could understand it you could tell it and the Tao that can be told is not the Eternal Tao (unless that's a bad translation ). "It is less what one is that should matter, than what one is not. To acquire knowledge should not be our first aim, but rather to rid ourselves of ignorance - which is false-knowledge." Fingers Pointing Towards The Moon; Reflections of a Pilgrim on the Way by Wei Wu Wei Hope that's a bit more useful than "neti neti".

Yes. I too am a fan (and like WWROA, a "Curious" ). I would imagine that's it's extaordinarily difficult to translate these texts without being completely bilingual (both in terms of language and culture) and having first seen their true "meaning" for oneself. Also, if it's already been truly seen, then perhaps it's easier to write one's own book? Regarding "the Tao" - at this point, I'm a fan of Wei Wu Wei (Terence Gray) myself.

Many people do indeed get pretty upset when you challenge their belief systems but I've found that there are also many people here who are pretty tolerant and who enjoy the challenge. This is actually the "official" stance: -

Someone got out of the wrong side of the bed this morning.

I think that most of the professionals here pay for their advertsing.

Perhaps you're seeing the reflection - rather than the mirror?

Yes, it's said that, if you're sincere, even a stone will teach you. I think that this is extremely rare though. Yes, I can resonate with this as well. Most of us find that, in the beginning, an (apparently ) external teacher can be quite helpful. Why attempt to reinvent the wheel? And Grace (by definition) is always available to everyone. No-one is unworthy - all are invited. May all beings be open to seeing the stones which point towards their Gate.

A songbird? The spectre of a horse? (Or anything else that you chose to believe it to be. )

I'm off to bed now so could the last person up please put the cat out for the night, as he seems to be having some difficulty finding his flap.
