  1. Britain and the European Union

Thanks Apech. Firm and competent leadership certainly seems to be what's needed in this particular equation. Still, I guess we'll just have to wait for a Taobums interview to ascertain his suitability for the post.
  2. Britain and the European Union

I wouldn't worry about that Apech, he'd go through Karl and Chang like a dose of salts.
  3. Britain and the European Union

^^^ That was a rhetorical question incidentally...
  4. Britain and the European Union

And why do you think that he's sponsored by Putin (friend of Western democracy)?
  5. Britain and the European Union

In any case, it will be the Civil Service who will be handed the responsibility of cleaning-up this clusterfuck. Liam Fox is already pointing the finger at them and saying that they would have been incompetent if they didn't have a contingency plan. Perhaps they are? (Incompetent that is...) Nevertheless, as I said it's no biggie and the process will be managed on the other side of the Channel now...
  6. Britain and the European Union

People who live in glass houses Karl...
  7. Britain and the European Union

Anyone want to start an interview thread...?
  8. Britain and the European Union

And here's my suggestion for someone who's probably not a complete twat:- Paddy Ashdown However, it would be wise to interview him and take up references first. Perhaps Karl and Chang could write to him and invite him to take part in a TaoBums interview..?
  9. Britain and the European Union

Y'all need to chillax. It's no biggie - all that's happened is the UK's lost its voting rights in the EU. All that the UK now needs to do is to elect a leader who's not a complete twat. But don't worry if they can't manage that because Monsieur Hollande and Frau Merkel will walk them through the process of downgrading the UK to (non-voting) associate membership. Shouldn't be a major problem for the EU or the UK because that would be in neither party's best interests. Stop and think about it for a few days...
  10. Britain and the European Union

Max Keiser of Russia Today (the propaganda arm of the former USSR)... Somehow, I suspect he's a bit of a cheerleader for Putin's agenda...

  13. Britain and the European Union

Great Britain's always been the 51st State, however I think it's highly unlikely that you'll be importing American beef. All that's really changed is that you've lost the right to vote against the European interests... You'll get the chance to apply for full membership in a couple of decades (like the Turks...).
  14. Britain and the European Union

Great Britain has succeeded in removing the (principal) American accent from the European banqueting table... The other cheerleader will also be brought to heel...

  17. Thanks for this and for starting the Non-Gradual Dzogchen thread Jax! You'd probably find it find it useful to obtain Owner Permissions, so that you can moderate it yourself...
  18. Non-Gradual Dzogchen

Thanks for pointing to these translations Jax! I'm always fascinated by the clarity and simplicity of the Direct Path. From Secret Sky: The Ancient Tantras on Vajrasattva's Magnificent Sky (My bolding and underlining.)
  19. I've started a thread here. Welcome back Jax!
  20. a remedy to attack

In situations of physical aggression this is well illustrated by the martial art of aikido. See Aikido and the Dynamic Sphere: An Illustrated Introduction for details.
  21. Britain and the European Union

You're welcome Chang! I think that it sums up the Pythonesque nature of this thread rather well...
  22. I'm glad that you've found it useful Bindi and I wouldn't disagree with your conclusion, as there is indeed no work to be done in ultimate reality (because it is nondual). I think that's probably a wise position to adopt Bindi.
