Sifu Lam is indeed gorgeous. I'm glad that you find him attractive yourself. I nearly told him this to his face once - but I felt that he might take it the wrong way.

Let's just hope that we've both made the points that we each intended to make, shall we?

Come, come, whoever you are. Wanderer, worshipper, lover of leaving — it doesn't matter, Ours is not a caravan of despair. Come, even if you have broken your vow a hundred times, Come, come again, come.

Actually, someone would have "authority" on practice when their Sifu gives them "authority". Practicing for 10 years every day under them does not give them any "authority". It is a matter entirely for the Sifu to decide.

I've heard it said that:- Religions are created by those who don't get it. The ones who do get it are too busy having fun to be bothered with the hassle of starting a religion. (Or words to that effect)

Have fun. I did.

No, your right. Mindfulness of body = meditation Let's not split hairs I got pulled because I went off on a sitting meditation type "state"
-
Fair enough.

Atman (Brahman) Edit to add:- Jiva = Individual soul or apparent "I"
-
It might be a bit more accurate to say that every jiva is a portal for the Self to look through.

If you're drawn to Kashmir(i) Shaivism, check out Chuck Surface, Francis Lucille and Richard Miller.

You are the final arbiter of your own experience. The "answer" is to explore your own experience.

I think that sub-forums are useful as an index/archive and I believe that they should be used for more "serious" discussion. (and I voted "yes")

PS Also Zhan Zhuang (as taught by Master Lam) is definitely NOT meditation and he pulled me up about it in class one day because he spotted me entering into meditation while I was standing.
