  1. Fascism + Solutions

Doublespeak is language that deliberately disguises, distorts, or reverses the meaning of words. Doublespeak may take the form of euphemisms (e.g., "downsizing" for layoffs, "servicing the target" for bombing [1]), making the truth less unpleasant, without denying its nature. It may also be deployed as intentional ambiguity, or reversal of meaning (for example, naming a state of war "peace"). In such cases, doublespeak disguises the nature of the truth, producing a communication bypass.[2][3] Origins and concepts There is no explicit mention on where doublespeak's primary concepts came from. However, doublespeak might possibly have certain concepts taken from George Orwell's book, Nineteen Eighty-Four. Although there is no mention of Doublespeak in Nineteen Eighty-Four, it has been argued that the term is a combination of two concepts - Doublethink and Newspeak which are original to his work.[5][unreliable source?] Comparisons have been made between Doublespeak and Orwell's descriptions on political speech from his essays Politics and the English Language in which "unscrupulous politicians, advertisers, religionists, and other doublespeakers of whatever stripe continue to abuse language for manipulative purposes".[6] Edward S. Herman, political economist and media analyst, has highlighted some examples of doublespeak and doublethink in modern society.[7] Herman describes in his book, Beyond Hypocrisy the principle characteristics of doublespeak; What is really important in the world of doublespeak is the ability to lie, whether knowingly or unconsciously, and to get away with it; and the ability to use lies and choose and shape facts selectively, blocking out those that don’t fit an agenda or program.[8] In his essay "Politics and the English Language", George Orwell observes that political language serves to distort and obfuscate reality. Orwell’s description of political speech is extremely similar to the contemporary definition of doublespeak; In our time, political speech and writing are largely the defence of the indefensible… Thus political language has to consist largely of euphemism, question-begging and sheer cloudy vagueness… the great enemy of clear language is insincerity. Where there is a gap between one's real and one's declared aims, one turns as it were instinctively to long words and exhausted idioms, ...[9] http://en.wikipedia....iki/Doublespeak

Fascist as insult Following the defeat of the Axis powers in World War II, the term fascist has been used as a pejorative word,[52] often referring to widely varying movements across the political spectrum.[53] George Orwell wrote in 1944 that "the word 'Fascism' is almost entirely meaningless ... almost any English person would accept 'bully' as a synonym for 'Fascist'".[53] Richard Griffiths argued in 2005 that "fascism" is the "most misused, and over-used word, of our times".[23] "Fascist" is sometimes applied to post-war organisations and ways of thinking that academics more commonly term "neo-fascist".[54] Contrary to the common mainstream academic and popular use of the term, Communist states have sometimes been referred to as "fascist", typically as an insult. Marxist interpretations of the term have, for example, been applied in relation to Cuba under Fidel Castro and Vietnam under Ho Chi Minh.[55] Herbert Matthews, of the New York Times asked "Should we now place Stalinist Russia in the same category as Hitlerite Germany? Should we say that she is Fascist?"[56] J. Edgar Hoover wrote extensively of "Red Fascism".[57] Chinese Marxists used the term to denounce the Soviet Union during the Sino-Soviet Split, and likewise, the Soviets used the term to identify Chinese Marxists.[58] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fascism

in waking state... always ask... am I dreaming (take note of surroundings) another is to look at hands asking the same question Theory is when you are dreaming you will ^ do the same... and hopefully realize that you are in a dream = lucid another is to let your body fall asleep but keep your mind awake... many experience imagery just before sleep or just before waking. they say, if you can master sleep you can master death. once lucid one basically has to maintain a meditative / sharp awareness of ones awareness and ones surroundings or so they say... Happy travels

Is it not strange that some of the things humanity most despises are some of its own behaviours?
  5. Spiders

what is the the difference between this... and this?
  6. Hi, I'm a christian and my Kundalini is awakening. Please Help :)

I drink 2L of water most days or more depending... I live in a pretty warm climate though probably some difference? Coconut water as with other fruits/ veges etc contain pure water... filtered by nature distilled water is another ... rainwater is another (evaporation) basically how it works is your body is negatively charged... and pure water is negatively charged anything that isn't suppose to be in your body is positively charged (heavy metals, other inorganic / toxic material etc... or dead matter) the negative charge of the water attracts unwanted positively charged material and removes it from your body // water is a purifying element. this is my understanding I believe that for energy to flow in your body smoothly your body/ temple has to be in top condition. I guess an ok example would be a water hose... when it gets a kink or other obstructions the water is slowed down...or cut off pressure builds. Food + Water + Air today has lots of heavy metals + other toxic chemicals which harm the body / nervous system. ^ which I believe need to be constantly expelled from the body. This is my understanding... take what you will ... kinda strange governments pumping water full of heavy metals and calling it healthy... If one thinks about cases of fluoridation / calcification of the body / nervous system + probably most importantly the pineal gland... maybe that starts to give some indication as to why.

    hahaha
  8. Are babies born with their energy channels open?

I suppose this thread could extend further into...how to raise a child? I remember reading something of Osho's childhood ...raised by his grandparents I think... they let him do his own thing for the first 8 years of his life? or so... there being little instruction / education etc ... allowing him to discover / interpret the world as he saw it
  9. I think concentration leads to insight?
  10. What is Falun Gong?

    ^ nice
  11. What is Falun Gong?

A little crazy could just be a cover... 90% truth 10 % crazy = harmless? no worries... /no threat playing the game Truth / Justice / "Spiritual Path" = path of the warrior... no matter what level of consciousness you are playing at I think. In terms of parades / drums / posters etc.... The world does need a spiritual revolution I think... I think everything is a cult.... so to call one thing a cult and another thing not... is a bit insane
  12. Enlightenment I am?

In some future(?) technically? I am enlightened hahaha ahh soo ... ahhh hmmm
  13. Death of Body and Organ Transplants

    Q. I noticed in some traditions it is forbidden to touch a dead body many different rules... I think Tibetan monks say 3 days? I know of Native American (not well researched) that refuse organ transplant + won't give their own organs I agree with this as a result of cellular memory + cases of people getting organ transplants and their personality changing... I feel that this may bind a spirit to the earth? ... somewhat spurred by the meat eating thread going at present... and Shenlung's proposition // of the Priest Botantist and Officer
  14. Death of Body and Organ Transplants

where do we reside? yes that is the question In terms of cellular memory it would appear... that this can change consciousness particularly with organs such as the heart... they have also found the heart to have neurons too ... having seen documentaries of people who have heart transplants... + personality changes there would be residual consciousness of the departed within the cells in terms of the absolute self... in terms of relative self ? Other traditions say not to even speak of the name of the departed? So (From memory..or guess I don't know.) as not to bring them back to the earth plane perhaps all unfounded
  15. Death of Body and Organ Transplants

the other discussion isnt that important... it was talking about cannibalism more or less I guess.
  16. Death of Body and Organ Transplants

Things such as... do not cry for the departed... as it confuses them in the bardo state? If you found your organs to be in 7-8 other people on earth walking around... are you really dead? (in body - will the spirit have some attachment to these organs) I think of the movie Casper... and the ghosts with unfinished business.
  17. Death of Body and Organ Transplants

Ah I was talking about organ transplants.... :/ haha Thinking more in relation to the Tibetan Book of the Dead the transition from... this life to the next etc
  18. Enlightenment I am?

always was, always is, always will be which makes one ask how does enlightenment become ignorance
  19. Enlightenment I am?

    how fast is consciousness?
  20. Enlightenment I am?

Hmm @ HNJT I dont think I is in the way... well I am in part... though time ... the concept of time... though I think time in terms of the speed of light / gravity and so on is a something rather than a nothing / concept... hmm light and time travel...
  21. Enlightenment I am?

Good point IS /// In terms of Time... here and there... time is that which separates therefore one must make time void I feel that the in breath and the out breath are time related... the point between is timeless... I think the spiral is related somehow
